Cant Hear Music When Watching Videos
Jul 5, 2008i cant hear music when im watching videos on Internet and imeem...but there is sound when listening to the windows media player...juz no sound when surfing the internet.

Apr 23, 2008i am having problems with the sound on vista. music plays fine until i open anything else. if anything is loading music is severely distorted. i have updated eveything there is. i cannot listen to any music on myspace or watch any videos on Internet.

I mean, this Windows Vista is the easiest to use right? WRONG! I should be able to tell the OPERATING SYSTEM that I WANT ALL MY STUFF ON D, and that when I GO TO MY FOLDER AND CREATE A NEW ONE, IT SHOULD BE CREATED ON D, NOT C! We need an update for this... There is now way around it, I mean, I DID MOVE ALL THE FOLDERS INDIViDUALLY, to find out that I STILL WRITE AT C:Usersusertest WHEN I WANT TO WRITE AT D:usertest! We had this at XP, but not on Vista? Aug 5, 2008recently I have connected my laptop (Toshiba A135-S4467) to my CRT TV via S-video. this laptop came with a Vista home premium 32bit OS. I have converted it to XP Pro. when I watched movie files (at any player, any file type) on the TV (I used extended desktop option) there was no problem. 2 weeks ago I have re-converted the laptop to Vista OS (using Toshiba's restore disks). and now the problem: when I try to watch movie file (DVD, AVI, MPEG....) on the TV (with any player) the picture has for distortions that can be seen only on the TV screen and not on the computer LCD. I'm using the same hardware as with the XP and I'm using the same TV and the same settings. changing the resolution hasn'the distortion can be seem like offset lines in the middle of the screen.

Sep 7, 2007My Vista Ultimate x64 version had been running great for about a month an half. Then one day the audio began to get choppy. The audio works fine for about 30 seconds and then it seems like it get distroted like people are talking slower. Im thinking this might not just be an audio problem with the driver but maybe a video problem. So I installed the newest WHQL supported video drivers. Still didn't fix the problem. Then I installed the newest realtek AC 97' audio drivers. Still didn't work. I even formated Windows Vista Ultimate x64 and did a clean install and I still have the problem.

Mar 23, 2008My vista home premium seems to have a problem with its music media replay. When I open a song file, the music id fine but the vocals sound distant, inaudible and a large amount of echo. I did download an mp3 player called morpher or something very similar but deleted after playing two songs, has this damaged my music files or my computer? I am unsure if the mp3 player is the culprit but all was fine beforehand.
I have updated the realtek driver but has made no difference to the vocal reproduction. I have also tried a system restore to a date well before the mp3 player was put onto the computer, it still made no difference.
Watching Shows Error Freezing Movie
Nov 3, 2008When im watching my shows on my notebook, i always get a annoying error. It keeps freezing all the time! When the movie inside gets faster ( someone is running or fighting ) it tends to freeze a bit and then move on. Its not the movie problem , cause if i replay the video, in the same second that it freezed, it wouldnt freeze in there. I Use VLC Media Player, and already tried it on Windows Media Player, so i think it is not a Player issue. And also, my Framerate is always low in lineage II. I don't understand ! I have a Nvidia 8600m GT and it freezes like hell.Everything should be running smoothly ...
is there a error with my Graphics Card? Cause it is starting to annoy me! I open a folder, and i have to wait like 10 seconds for the Icons to show up.Is it vista? That uses more of my CPU and (kill it)? Even Firefox sometimes lasts 30 seconds or one minute to open up.
Can't Hear When Talking
Sep 1, 2009my friend and I have set up ventrilo and we have a server, everything is fully functioning, except for one thing. He can talk when we are playing Halo: Combat Evolved and Halo: Custom Edition, and I can hear him, but he can't hear me when I'm talking. I am using a Saitek GH30 headset. my push to talk key is bound to F12, if that matters.

Apr 5, 2008This is only a minor irritation as WFS still works perfectly well. I wonder why my fax card's built-in speaker no longer emits any sound when I'm sending a fax - I used to be able to hear it dialling. I've tried Googling the issue and apart from a few people saying that they vaguely remember the issue and seeing a fix for it which they've long forgotten, I still haven't actually found a fix. The card is obviously still working as I can send and receive faxes and sounds are all on as per the options/settings,although I doubt that Windows Sounds settings have anything to bear on a card's built-in speaker. It's a Hiro 56K V.92 PCI Modem which shows in Vista as an Agere Soft Modem. I get the same problem in both XP and Vista by the way.The speaker worked for a while and then just stopped.

May 31, 2008Many of you may have been as frustrated as myself by Micrsoft bowing to the RIAA and pressuring the soundcard manufacturers to remove the "What You Hear" feature from their drivers. This supposedly prevents you from recording web radio and other sound card audio.
The short term workaround has been to loop the line out audio back around into the line in jack. While this works, it's a kludge.
The good news is that Version 7 of Total Recorder (just released) now comes with a true kernal mode driver that restores the capability to do direct recordings.

Jul 29, 2009The problem is: my dvd-rw drive plays CD's AND DVD videos but will not play game DVD's. What i have tried so far.
1) Used a lense cleaner to clean the drive.
2) removed upper and lower filters (registry)
3) Tried the game in another system (it works and is vista compatiable -
and yes the other machine was running vista)
4) Brought a new drive - still same problem.
5) uninstalled and re-installed drivers
6) Updated mother board drivers
7) tried the origonal drive from this machine in another machine running
vista - guess what? it works fine.
8) Tried system retore to the ealiest point possible - no good!
9) Same as above but from a backup - no good.
10) removed the only burning software i have installed (nero7) and re-
installed - no good. Also I would like to point out that the drive was
working perfectly when I first installed nero 7.
I am sure that between the drive working and ok and not working ok I have not installed any new software, only Vista updates etc but it hard to point out when it actually failed. Could this be a registry problem? Driver issue?
Rundll32 Errors On Videos?
Oct 21, 2008I have been living with rundll32 errors for a while on my video files, I upgraded from xp to vista. It has not caused any real problems. However a few months ago I seemed to lost ability to deal with windows personalization. Can not change anything in windows color, theme or icon's said admin had turned off.. I was logged in as admin. I could live with this also as I could change my background and had set the colors to what I liked.
Well now things are worse two days ago the rundll32 errors started to happen a lot, Firefox crashed completely, would not run.. windows problem reporting told me to upgrade would crash with rundll32 error. My recyle bin went away, and can not replace, change icon's causes rundll32 error. Yesterday vista would no start.. took two times of repairing with upgrade disk and now seems to be fine. Went to cmd.com in run to do a file check. got the error NTVDM.exe and command com will not load. NOw in personalize change color get rundll32 error. Checked event log they all seem to be the same error....
How Do Download Videos On Windows
May 26, 2008i use this way to download Internet vids. i'm very happy to share with you. please also reply with your method. the software i'm using is called moyea flv downloader. it is a freeware. install and start the downloader. you needn't get the url when downloading the vid. press "start recording".
click in the page where the vid is playing. the downloader will automatically save it to your hard drive. then you can watch it with the embeded flv player. you can search "flv downloader" on google.com for more info. looking forward to your replies.
E-mail-attachments (videos)
Apr 23, 2010Lately I have found that my Videos sent as attachments in my Windows Mail on Vista are failing to open when I double click. What occurs is that they play, but in the backround with the original e-mail still in view. To see the attachment video I have to click on the icon (i have now on the taskbar) to view the video playing. The previous video attachments, those, which I had save on hard drive are also doing the same if I want to view them. This has just began, for before, once I double clicked I could view them right away.

I've always normally been able to open up my attachments that are videos by the usual double click, a futher window pops up to Open, indicating that it'll open up using Windows Media Player, I clicked on Open and it would begin. Now when I do the aforementioned and the window comes up and I click on open, it begins playing, however to view it I have to click on the icon Windows Media Player before the actual e-mail will disappear and the video is able to be viewed. Why would this have just occurred, has it something maybe due to their recent updates etc.

Dec 21, 2009On my Vista Ultimate 64 bit machine - SP 2 and Internet Explorer 8 - videos from two sites will not play. The video screen displays, but the video does not load and play. The two sites: "Wall Street Journal Online" and "MSNBC Meet The Press". They are not worked since I begain using the machine. They worked ok on the XP 32 bit machine that was replaced. Videos from other sites play ok.
I've sent help requests to both places - no response at all from Meet The Press - pro-forma "thank you and we will be touch" from Wall Street Journal on October 28, 2009, and no response to a follow-up "what is the status" e-mail I sent December 14, 2009 Hence, this post. Does anyone have any thoughts on what the cause may be? (I don't know if either sites uses it, butAdobe Flash is installed in the X86 sarea and works on other pop-ups and videos. )
Not Able To Play Flash Videos Continously
Mar 28, 2010All the Dailymotion movies are not playing continuously more than 2 min. It stop within 2 min,Buffering is also not happening. If I try to play any flash related video in internet it doesn't play continuously. Cannot watch movie continuously. when the playing stops I have to move the progress bar then the video plays for sometimes and then again stops.
I updated the adobe shock wave latest, but still the same problem.
I tried in three browers IE, firefox, Chrome same problem in all the browsers.
