I am running Vista Home Prem - 32 bit. I have been trying to download and install Yahoo Messenger. It will go almost all the way thru the download and install process, then stops. The error message says that it is not a WIN32 program. I have searched everywhere for an answer, but can't find one. Yahoo no longer has a Mesg for Vista available. I can't find an answer for this problem.

I am running IE 7 under Vista Home Premium 64 bit with SP1. I made Yahoo my home page and want to make Yahoo Mail my default email client instead of Outlook or Windows Mail. However, when I get to the window where I can select my default programs, Yahoo is not listed. According to Yahoo Help, as long as the Yahoo Toolbar is loaded (it is), Yahoo Mail should be in the list. I've tried loading the toolbar several times, but it jes' ain't there.
just wondering if anyone has any ideas for why windows mail is preventing me from sending mail. it is currently linked to my Yahoo (UK) pop3 account, and it works for receiving mail, but i cannot send any messages. any tips? i've been in contact with Yahoo Cust. services and they said that it worked and they could receive my messages to them, but it doesn't work, then they said it was a mail client provider problem.
I have made my yahoo email account my default in outlook on my computer. Now, if I have opened an email in outlook, it no longer shows up when I log in to yahoo on a remote computer ? How can I fix this?

I have Vista on my laptop. On the taskbar along the bottom there is a small search window that says Yahoo search in it. I never ever use it and I would much rather have the space for something else. Does anyone know if I can turn that thing off so I don't have it just sitting there like it's sticking its toungue out at me saying "Na Na I am on your task bar and there ain't a thing you can do about it"? I don't know why it bugs me so bad...It probably wouldn't if I knew I could turn it off if I decided I wanted to rather than feeling like my computer setup and the way it looks is someone elses decision.
In Vista home premium, some emails have images not displayed. There is a small box with a red x.Right clicking, show picture, does not help. My pc skills are limited.
I primarily use Yahoo! to chat, but the thing of it is... when I maximize the screen, the border falls off the screen slightly - the name of the contact is half missing, the right and left lip on the window disappear and a large chunk of the bottom is eaten by my task bar. When I load a conference, the same holds true as well, but so much of the left side falls off that the first letter of the first word I type in the message box disappears. I know that my description might be a little hard to visualize, so I'm including a picture to show you what I mean. I will add a pic of the con when I get a chance. What I want to know is this: is there a way to edit this so it fits on my screen better? I have a wide screen HP laptop.
I have a yahoo mail account and have had it for years. Why do I need a microsoft mail account? I don't know what info to put under server and type. If I am on the internet and try to email from a site my yahoo mail is not picking it up. What should I do?
I finally decided to upgrade to Vista, and since I have 4GB ram I thought I'd give 64bit a shot. Every game I play crashes, or fails to load at all, or gets into the game and crashes during map load. I have Vista Ultimate 64 installed. I have installed and re-installed the OS multiple times to no effect. I've downloaded all of the windows updates. During one of my first installs of vista, I was able to get in to games of codwaw, but then it would crash after about 5 secs.......
To anyone having the same problem sending with Yahoo here is my solution.
Choose Tools then Accounts, highlight your account that you are having problems with, click Properties, then under the Security tab change the Algoritham setting to DES, click apply then exit tools.
Now send an E-Mail and it works.
The above setting will revert back to its original one but you can still send mails, whereas before you couldnīt.
Must have been a gltch in Windows Mail.
Dont forget incoming port (pop3) 995, outgoing port (smtp) 465.
