I have a problem with installing Warcraft III Reign of Chaos on my Windows 7 32-bit computer. Whenever I insert my CD Rom into my hardrive, I go to the WCIII installation window and enter my CD-Key information. After I'm done locating the file to put the folder in, it freezes and says "Not Responding" on the Windows topmost bar. It keeps on doing that for some reason and really gets annoying.

I have a dell Inspiron 1525 with vista home premium and I resently downloaded Last chaos and I tried to play it, and It was fine logging in fine for a couple of seconds and then it crashed. anyone know how to make it work? when it crashes my computer is fine, the screen is fine everything is it simply says, program not responding so i exit out ive uninstalled it and re installed it and run it as an adminstrator nothings working

When I restarted my computer, the problem starts here. very time I open my War3, It minimizes on my task bar. When I click it again, it maximizes for around 1 second then minimizes again. I know its running fine because I can hear the sounds of the program and I can see the menu for 1 second. I search the internet for similar problem but it looks like I'm the only one having this kind of problem. I tried Updating my Video Card driver, I think I have the latest. Reinstalling my War3, it works. But, whenever I restart my computer, the problem appear again. I need to shutdown my computer.

My concern is not that much on the Sex or Gore fact but I do have my hesitations about him being totally consume by it since two years ago he had that problem with RuneScape or something like that. I guess what I would like to know is just how adult is this game? Are there predators like in the chat rooms and what have you? or is this just a clean open world fun game. Sorry if I seem like an idiotic parent, my kids pretty much run their computer unatended but I can't help to feel worry on the "Getting Consumed" part of it.

I have turned off UAC, and I am running from an administrator account. I have deleted all files in my temp accoount. I have also (following the intructions on the WoW support site) copied the contents of the CD to a new folder on the desktop. I have also tried installing it into C:World of Warcraft (IE not into Program Files) - as advised on another forum. Nothing works.

Heres the problem: When I open wow through both *Launcher* and *Play*, my WoW gets stuck at connecting while I'm logging in. BUT. When I Run the program as administrator, all works fine, BUT. My guild I am in is a hard-core raiding guild and as the Main tank, I need to talk. When I run as administrator, I can play all honkey-torey, but when I press my PTT button, nothing happens!
The main question here is: How do I make is so I can log in properly, without having to run *Play* as a Admin?
I did a clean install on my new pc and its all patched up...and used the repair utility (it says wow is okay) everytime it loads i get my character up on the screen and everything looks fine...looks like imabout to start playing and then it just freezes and locks up...i have to reboot manually the whole computer...my computer more than meets the requirements...im lost on this...im trying to update all my drivers...but my graphics card and vista are updated...(which i would think are the most important)i have a asus m3a mb....amd phenom x4 9950 black edition...8gb 800speed memory..and a sata2 hdd? i thought it was bcuz vista and being 64 bit...but now im starting to think its the memory...maybe the memory installed on my computer isnt compatible with the mb? is anyone else on here playing wow? with a vista ult 64bit?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm sure this has been reported by several individuals before me, but ever since I have been playing World of Warcraft wirelessly on my new notebook with Vista I have been hiting these lag spikes every couple minutes, that can range anywhere from a second to 15. During this time cpu and disk spike to 100% usuage. I have tried updating my drivers for my NIC and my graphic card, as well as disabling a roam feature on the vista wireless network, but these have not halted the dreaded spikes. Also, I have tried playing while directly connected to the internet but even then the spikes occur. Does anyone know what is causing these spikes and what can be done to solve them?

Rendering graphics in photoshop, and most software design suites (been using eclipse for small projects lately). Where my system comes to its knees is when i try and play World of Warcraft. I get about 100fps for a random amount of time (as much as 20 minutes), and then it drops to an unplayable 3-10fps. I have updated to the latest Signed Drivers 175.16 by nvidia, I have tried the unsigned 175.75, I have updated my bios (which were causing a memory issue before), I have updated my sound drivers which i know... creative is not the best choice but its onboard.

now i dont have many programs that start up when windows starts.
Built a new pc last week. Installed vista 64, all was great! Installed Crysis (what a game!!!) Connected to the net...downloaded microsoft updates...dvd stops responding. Thats where i've been ever since. I've spent hours trawling the net trying different things ie upper/lowerfilters (which don't appear in my registry), remove drive, re-install, checking drivers/firmware, apply registry patch, but still can't get it to work. I've tried to start a fresh install of vista but without a dvd drive thats difficult! (not sure how much begging required :-) Device manager shows no errors - dvd working fine! View 6 Replies View RelatedWorks, Office 2007, Lotus 123 and others, constantly freeze and (Not Responding). My first reinstall was because UAC locked me out of Drive C:, yet the OS seemed to run ok. I took ownership and all priveledges and still could not access. Finally reinstall! I backed up drive C: before reinstalling (choose Drive C: only) yet when I reinstalled the backup it overwrote Drive D: Partition) Corrupting it. Second reinstall was similar only affected Drive M: again same problems forcing This time reload from CD. Also have a lot of trouble dropping the network connection. This time I cannot (chkdsk M: /f), when I use F9 On boot it only checks CPU, Memory (4mb) and drive C: Then it aborts. All my diag programs uncover no problems. Drives all check healthy and have been defraged regularly. All programs load extremely slow (2.4G Intel core 2 Quad Q6600) I think it should be fairly quick to respond.

I just recieved my new Dell with Vista 64-Bit Home Premium on Friday (the 8th) and since the initial start-up, I can be doing anything (web surfing, viewing task manager, any program) and without any warning the program just stops responding. In most cases I can't minimize or close the program and clicking Start - Restart even does not respond. The 'only' way to end this and restart the computer is by actually unplugging the power cable.
Viweing the Event Viewer I see that within 2 days, I have 83 Error messages listed under Windows Logs - Applications (These are the red buttons under the LEVEL column). All updates are installed. I have to write this quickly before the bugger freezes up again.
I've been trying to run Serif Page Plus SE free but continually get the 'not responding' message. I've given up on their support line as they l=keep telling me the same thing over and over. I'm running Vista - is there a c0mpatibility problem?

View 7 Replies View RelatedEver since a few days ago whenever i go to open my Briefcase on my desktop it takes an enormous amount of time to open and all that appears when i click the icon on the desktop is a blank window in which it says at the top " EXPLORER(NOT RESPONDING)". It takes the briefcase a few minutes to finally open and display all my files and folders inside.
It is also a pain when i am attempting to save something. For example: if i was to attempt to download a file i would click save, and normally it would direct itself into my briefcase. It still directs itself to my briefcase accept now the save procedure is "Not Responding and it takes plenty time to start responding and working again.
whenever i log in, it sometimes says that explorer.exe is not responding. I then restart it, but whenever i try to open something that needs explorer.exe, like my computer, explorer.exe goes away again and i lose my desktop and task bar. This has been happening for the past few days, and i don't want to use a restore because that would take me back around 2 months ago.

Anything I try to do that uses the : AutoLaunchVWLASU (install, delete, try to defrag, etc...) - - when in Task Manager it lists this ALWAYS as, "Not Responding". I always have to end Task using Task Manager. Do I have a PC Problem (Sony VGC-LV150J) or a Windows Installation Issue. Cannot even invoke System Config or even RegEdit from the Start menu.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a friend who has an HP laptop, Windows Vista (obviously lol) and, at first his internal mic would pic up sound-music, background noise, &c., but not voice. On Skype it said that it was muted. There were no "mute/un-mute" buttons to be found, anywhere. And it wasn't just on Skype either. Yahoo too. It just wouldn't register it at all. He was trying to mess with the mic settings/ recording device settings and I guess he clicked on disable. He was going to try and enable it again but, it deleted the entire device!!! So now he can't mess with it or see it or anything. It says "No Audio Devices Are Installed."
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have been running Vista for some time on a new machine. Non responsive programs are a daily, no make that an hourly occurance. Most of the time they end up launching successfully or overcoming the hanging problem, but quite often Vista will warn that the program needs to shut down. The program that seems most susceptible to this is CorelDraw X3 although it does it on all programs including Windows mail. Is this normal behaviour? Windows XP very rarely caused problems.
