Jul 29, 2009Up until now I have been able to send an email to 50 or more people, now I can't, what has happened or how do I fix it?

Cannot Choose Recipients For Email
Apr 20, 2008how come i cannot choose recipients when sending emails. it has happened before and i uninstalled an update (can't remember the update ). however, that update is not installed and now i cannot choose recipients, nor can i add a new contact to my contacts folder.

Mar 21, 2010Whenever I send an email with pictures embedded in the body of the email, all the recipient sees is a bunch of red x's. Typically, what I am sending is a forward of something someone else sent to me. Since I received and viewed the pictures just fine, clearly the problem is not in how the pictures are in the email. The preview of my outgoing email always shows the pictures just fine. But the recipients never can view them.
I have a Vista computer, and am using Windows Mail with my Cox email account. My wife is on the same computer. We have separate user accounts. She has the same setup as me - Windows Mail with her Cox email account. The security software is Microsoft Security Essentials. We had previously been using McAfee. My problems remained the same under both softwares. My wife has had no problems with sending pictures. She will receive the same email as me, forward it to someone else, and they can vie the pictures just fine. She can forward an email to me, and I can view the pictures. But if I forward that email back to her, like everyone else, all she sees is red x's.

Apr 20, 2010I am using Vista and windows live mail and microsoft windows mail. With either, when I try to send an email with multiple pictures they are sent one picture at a time and then the far end cannot open them.

Apr 6, 2008I set up my Windows Mail to receive email from multiple accounts. I know, and in fact, I like that all email goes into one inbox. That suits me just fine. It works perfectly for me. I have a column set up so that I know which email account the email came from. However, now that I've added Kaspersky Internet Security to my computer, the emails come in properly but the "account" column empties itself of the information and Windows Mail no longer recognizes where the email came from.
For example, if I replied to an email received in one of my Yahoo accounts, the reply would come from the proper yahoo account. What happens now is that no matter which email account received the email, replies will always generate from the default account unless I manually change it.
Multiple Email Users, Merged Together
May 28, 2008I just got off the phone with cox.net and got my account and my wife's account for email...the problem is that they are merged together. I am trying to figure out how to seperate them so we have individual accounts. HP wants to charge me for technical assistance which is silly.

Sep 9, 2009Since yesterday a.m., I can't send emails using Windows Mail. I can receive, just can't send. Getting "The connection to the server has failed. Protocol: SMTP, Port: 587, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E" error message. I can send using the webmail application, but not Windows Mail. I am using AVG and have tried uninstalling. No luck. Tried reinstalling without email scanning. No luck. I've changed my outgoing port to 587. No luck. I've checked "outgoing server requires authentication". No luck. Called ISP and they say it is a Windows Mail issue.

Mar 30, 2008It took about 5 months to develop. I have Norton 2007, spy sweeper, and road runner internet. It now takes for ever if I want to send attachments, for it to fail right at the end. sorry i didnt copy my error but its usually lsays oses connection with server is the error. if i am lucky if i just send a few words the email sends other wise i have to send my emails thru the road runner internet site. I call roadrunner and they say i have a corrupt file.

Sep 8, 2009When I repled to an email it was not received by the original sender. I didn't receive a message telling me that the email had not been received. I then sent a test email and copied myself. I received the copy but again the recipient didn't. My pal then sent an email to a number of his friends requesting a reply and he received replies from all of them. So it seems that he is receiving emails from everyone except me and I'm sending emails to everyone except him. I should state that this has only happened within the last week, up until then I had been sending emails to this address without any problems.

Mar 29, 2009I have looked through half of the 1,0000's of posts and cannot find help. We have windows vista home premium. We have Norton ntivirus 2009 and all patches and downloads for Windows have been completed. I have Verizon Broadband as my connection and my ISP is another company. I have contacted both of these companies and have reset my incoming and outgoing servers several times, before and after all of the updates for Windows and Norton. I have also shut off the email scanning on Norton. The only thing I have not done is somthing called "Turning off Background Compaction" What in the world is this and how would any regular Joe KNOW to do this?
I am at my wits end, because NOTHING has worked. We do not have the startup disks for Windows Vista operating system because it was loaded when we purchased the computer. May 22, 2010I have been trying to set up window mail so I can send emails straight from word. I am having the error message: "The host 'POP3' could not be found. Please verify that you have entered the server name correctly. Subject 'Resume may 2010', Account: 'POP3', Server: 'POP3', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 11001, Error Number: 0x800CCC0D" come up. I do not know how to set this up. What information do I put in the box where it ask what type of server my email address uses (ie. POP3,) and how do I find this information, and when I do how do I go back and put the correct information in.
