I just bought an acer laptop with Windows Vista Home Premium and would like to setup the send to folder for more destinations. On XP this was a matter of typing send to in the run in startup and hitting enter and the send to folder was displayed.I have been unable to figure out this in Vista. how to do this in Vista?
I am unable to send email. Using Vista. Have emptied outbox as suggested in other posts. Outbox was emptied without difficulty, sent to drafts, then deleted. Created new email - tried to send - still couldn't. Error message - unable to connect to smpt server. Have gone to tols - accounts - servers - re-entered info.

I can't figure out how to get rid of the narrator on my computer when i first start it up. It is driving me crazy ...i want it off my computer and i don't remember how i got it on there in the first place.
I've got a few start up items which I cannot figure out how to disable. Using Windows Defender I can see all those items; and there is a button on the bottom right corner to remove them; however, the button is grayed out. I have a problem regarding my Vista installation. I'm using it for a while now but since a few days I get lots of freezes, hangs and crashes of my Vista and I cannot figure out what is causing these crashes. I'll explain the symptomps first: Somethimes it happens after the PC was running for hours sometimes it happens right after logging in. When the PC starts to freeze first one or two programs will stop to react, until everything freezes and won't react anymore. Funny about this is though that I can still talk in Vent and hear until the very last moment. Sometimes though the entire systems just starts to lag like crazy. If I have task manager opened there's no prcess using up CPU% other than System Idle Process. However in Reliability and Performance Monitor the CPU is usage is at exactly 50%. One core (I run a Core 2 Duo) is always at 100% and the other is at 0% and suddenly they switch and the other will be at 100% while the first is at 0%. That happens until finally the CPU calms down again. Just a few second after that though the system will BSOD and tell me a crucial system process was terminated....
I know absolutely nothing about operating systems & all the other technical speak, I have just upgraded my computer from XP to Vista. How do I get spell check on windows mail? I've found out how to do it in Word but can't figure how to spell check in mail. It appears a BIG error in the system. why no spell check in tool bar?
On my Vista Ultimate laptop , I was using Microsoft Download Manager to bring down some large files , but I had to leave so I suspended all queued files and shut-down Windows. Now I can't figure out how to restart the Download Manager.
I have spent many hours, reviewed, and tried many fixes to no avail. I have tried Windows Live Mail and Windows Mail. I am unable to send from either. I am also unable to send from my SBC accounts. I cannot receive or send emails on Vista Windows Mail. This infuriating situation occurred exactly one month after receiving the new computer with Vista Home Premium already installed. My old computer is connected as a small network. When the problem initially occurred on 7th June it said "Receiving 1 of 8" but never did and after a while (1/2 to 1 hr?) I logged off and logged on again but to no avail. I thought maybe a big photo or something was coming in but nothing eventuated. I have telephoned Optus (Australia) 5 times but they insist it is a Windows Mail corruption problem. No one was able to tell me what this error message actually means. Another issue that may also be connected was when I downloaded a trial version of a home video editing programme. It cut the 30 day trial by about 8 days, finishing on June 1st. June the first I thought? Why June 1st? I asked on the forum but they could not explain why.
my machine says I need to permission to move a folder to another? It first says "I'll need to provide admin permission to move this folder", then I see a file operation window, then another You need permission window with a try again and cancel button. Whats going on here? This UAC is proving to be more anoying then good. I'm pretty sure it's why I could not connect to a FTP server through a game to download an update.
