Gamma Rays Setting For Windows - Stop The Radiation

How does one change the gamma rays setting for windows vista basic. I just upgraded 2 months ago from windows xp. In windows xp a person can click on advance settings, click color tab, then change the gamma rays setting. Does any body know how to change the gamma rays setting for windows vista basic? I hope that I did not waste $100 for this windows vista basic upgrade if it doesn't have the setting for controlling the gamma rays of the display like windows xp.
there is no setting in control panel, mouse, to stop the dble tapping of pad,,,i hate the fact that when u r in something , it may close on me,,,,if no setting in mouse, control panel, then what?
It has happened occasionally, but with no predictability that I can see. I change settings in control pannel / power settings / balanced to 10 min for monitor and never for computer. I check the "advanced settings" to assure that they are the same. I use balanced because that seems to be the default in the registry. I do not see the actual settings in the registry. Every so often Vista resets the settings back to 20 min for the monitor. I have looked at but it speaks of "System Settings page" - I don't know what that is. In any case, my settings have no effect and I can't get the monitor to dependably go to standby after 10 minutes.
I know this isn't a Hotmail group but maybe someone could tell me how to do this or where to ask. Every time I log into Hotmail, Windows Messenger starts to configure itself. I don't want it, but I can't stop it.I've Googled the problem and done all the things that people recommend, removed it from the start menu, (Run > msconfig > Start) several times, but still it starts every time I use Hotmail. It's driving me mad and I can't understand why Microsoft make it so hard to get rid of.
I have a laptop with Windows Vista. I used to use Windows Mail as my e-mail client, but I recently installed Office 2007 and am now using Outlook. I have gone to Default Programs, and Outlook is set as the default mail handler for all mail functions. But when I click on a mailto link from my browser, Windows Mail still launches. How can I change this?
I have been trying to set up windows mail but i have no idea what im doing and it asks for some pop3 something or another...my usesrname/password, everything i type in is wrong. it asks me for the address for my pop3 watchamajiggy...what is all this? it tells me to ask my isp provider for this information but how do i do that? can somebody talk to me in english and not computer?
I use Gmail & my LSU email but I wanted to set up my emails to use Windows Mail. Can someone explain how I go about doing this? Or is it even worth it? Does Windows Mail cause headaches? Is there an advantage to it over email accounts set up with Gmail? If I do manage to set it up, is it possible to check my Windows Mail Inbox from another computer?
I want to set up my windows email, but I'm a little confused. Is the windows program simply for downloading emails from my current email provider, whom I have a hotmail account through, or is it for setting up a new and different/seperate email account? So when the program prompts me for my "email" address should I type in my existing hotmail account?

I am trying to install an antivirus programme and I get a pop up saying that it won't install whilst windows mail is running and that I should close it,but I can't find where to do this.
Several programs I have stop working after a few minutes I get the following message "Program_name has stopped working. Windows can check online for a solution to the problem". Two programs I have I get that message as soon as I start the program. I found an available update that addresses this problem, but when I try to install the update, I get a message that this update does not apply to my computer.
Windows 7 release is nigh, and of course Windows Vista will still be supported, but until when? Well, I know that Windows XP will be ditched in April 2014, when will Vista stop being supported?
I start getting a Windows Security pop up asking me to verify my user name and password...GRRR....how do I make it stop???? I have entered the information...clicked on REMEMBER MY CREDENTIALS...and it promptly forgets!....I even went into my accounts and re entered the info and said REMEMBER....which IT promptly forgot....how do I make it stop?????...the ONLY thing I use on my comp is windows defender...all the other crap just gives me a giant headache...my windows updates automatically, which it just did PRIOR to my issues...sorry I sound grumpy, but I am...I don't mind the issues, I just hate that the answers are so hard to find
What is Windows Mail 7? I cannot, for the life of me, work with Windows Mail. It USED to work just fine. Will I lose all my mail if I restore Windows Mail? If I even ca. I must have 6 inboxes, 12 sents, 10 recovered.

I just don't understand how to set up my windows live mail, for it asks me for (pop 3) incoming and( smtp) for out going mail. What do I put there, can someone walk me through it?

I am trying to write a script to add a few items like: "Connect to" to the Start Menu. This seems pretty easy by changing values in the registry and setting [HKEY_CURRENT_USER SoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionExplorerAdvanced]"Start_ShowNetConn"=dword:00000001 works to turn "Connect To" on after the next reboot. Is there a command to force Windows to re-look at the registry after setting this value, so that the change becomes effective without having to reboot the computer.
I have Windows VISTA Ultimate. I have a recognised fax modem installed. I have verified VISTA can test and validate it is working. When I try to set up a Fax Account - Fax and Scan / Tools / Fax Accounts / Add / Connect to a fax modem / Chose a Modem Name - no matter what I enter in this field, I get an error message "The mentioned fax server is not available. Please correct the server name and try again"

another problem with this OS, it seems once an hour my Windows Explorer will completely kick the bucket. What happens is all the windows and tabs at the bottom of the screen stop working and kind of migrate to the bottom left all mashing together making everything practically useless. So I end up have to end explorer.exe and resterting it.
I am having major issues sending email. I am receiving messages, but cannot send anything out. Does anyone have an answer for this. I called Microsoft and they said it was a HP issue. I have tried unsuccessfully to set up different signatures for the five email addresses I use. These addresses are used for five different interests. However I try I still get the signature for the default address whenever I click "Create Mail." The default email address is shown,with the default signature. When I change the outgoing email address in the address bar the signature shown is still the same. So I tried to use the Insert feature by unticking "always use signature etc" and clicking "insert" on the toolbar of the message. However the option to add signature is always greyed out.
I'm trying to set up a new email account on a new laptop. I've got my own email account on my own PC but want to set up a separate account for my wife on the laptop. I have just gotten a new computer and SBC helped me set up one of my email accounts in Windows but I have another that I need to set up. How do I go about doing this and where do I look to be able to choose which account I want to look at?
