Cannot Send Email To Groups Of People Using Windows Mail.
Jun 28, 2008I am trying to send an email to a group of 34 people and Windows Mail will not let me send it. Has anyone else had this problem? If so, how do I fix it?

Contact Groups In Windows Mail : Find Out Which Groups Person Belongs To
Mar 29, 2009I have over 20 different Groups set up in my Address Book. In the good old Outlook Express Address Book, I could open a Contact and in the "Other" tab, I could see a list of all the Groups that the person belongs to. In Windows Mail Contacts. I successfully imported all my Contacts and Groups. But is there a way to find out which Groups a person belongs to? It's too time consuming to manually search through each of my 20 groups. The Help section claims that Windows Mail has all the features of Outlook Express. but the list of Groups a person belongs to is obviously
missing. show me that I can display a list of Groups for each person. I rely heavily on Groups. Just for example, if I have multiple entries for the same person (with different email addresses), I can tell which one is the most current by looking at which email address is part of a recently set up Group.

Aug 30, 2009I will try to be as specific as possible, bu I am not that computer literate, so bear with me. I just got a new computer, my old one was windows XP and this one is windows vista. I know nothing about Vista. I am trying to set up my email account from ymail (Yahoo). I put in my dispaly name, that was easy enough, next, my email address. ClemonsKimberly@ymail.com, also easy enough, then comes the part I dont get... There is a drop down box for incoming email server, in it currently is POP3, other options are IMAP and HTTP. I dont know which one to use. The next box says Incoming mail (POP3 or IMAP) sever: I do not know what to put in the box below this. Next is outgoing mail server (SMTP) name: I also do not know what to put in the box under this. Finally there is a box for me to check (or not) for outgoing server requires authentication. I have read a lot of stuff from the computers help pages and HP advisor but I am still lost can anyone help...This is causing me to not beable to email people that I frequently talk to like our mayor, or the news channels because their pages say email me click here and this stupid box keep showing up, without it I cant email these people because they only recieve mail this way.

Windows Mail Can Reply But Not Send New Email
Oct 15, 2009I'm running Vista and using Windows Mail. I can recieve emails no problem and when I reply to an email it gets the recipient fine. However, if I create a new email and send it goes out of my outbox but the receipient never recieves it. I have spoken to LCN who host my email and they have run tests to hotmail, gmail and business accounts. They say the email get through to the recipient server fine but they cannot track them from there. Trying this myself I can confirm that there are not getting through to regular contacts inboxes at business and webmail accounts and they are not even going to junk mail.
They said to try changing the outgoing to my ISP SMTP details which I did but still no joy. They and my ISP have both said this is all they can do. I've turned off my anti-virus can for outgoing mails as well but still have the problem. Everything was working fine till a few days ago. When I called LCN they said my nameserver needed updating, which they did, and that it would take 24 hrs for the DNS propagation. It's now been 3 days and still the same problem. Email host and ISP say they can't help. I've checked and I'm not on a blacklist.
