Cannot Send Email From Mail Account...

I have set-up my new Windows mail account and can receive email messages. However, I cannot send them. This is the error message that appears: The connection to the server has failed. Subject 'test', Account: 'mail.vancouver-personal-trainer.com', Server: 'mail.vancouver-personal-trainer.com', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 465, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10061, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E
what I need to change inside the email account properties in order to successfully send messages.

I have a Windows Live Mail account and a Yahoo account and they both show up on the left hand side of my Window Live Mail account so I can choose which account I want to use or, for example, which inbox to look in. At the bottom, also on the left hand side of my Windows Live Mail account, it shows 'Add e-mail account', which is what I want to do with a new 'AOL' account and I want it to show on the left hand side like the two other accounts.
So I made a new AOL e-mail account, clicked 'Add e-mail account' at the bottom of my 'Windows Live Account', then I put in my new AOL e-mail account and password where it showed me. Then I clicked next.
The next page was all about my email server. When I did this before with a new e-mail account, it was all filled out automatically for me, but this time, all the blanks were left open and I have no idea what to fill in. I believe once I have this information, the AOL e-mail account will automatically then show on the left hand pane of my Windows Live Mail account below the other two accounts.

Is it absolutely necessary to create a Comcast account in order to send mail? I am having an issue after recently obtaining Comcast as my ISP (i am receiving mail but unable to send). I am formerly a bellsouth.net customer, but would like to continue using Windows mail. I have read and followed several different threads and nothing is working...I am connceted to the internet wirelessly..did not have to install Comcast cd....email scanning is off...what else can I try?

i have set up a new email account I can recieve mail but i keep getting this message when i try to send mail, The message could not be sent. just wondering if anyone has any ideas for why windows mail is preventing me from sending mail. it is currently linked to my Yahoo (UK) pop3 account, and it works for receiving mail, but i cannot send any messages. any tips? i've been in contact with Yahoo Cust. services and they said that it worked and they could receive my messages to them, but it doesn't work, then they said it was a mail client provider problem.

I cannot send mails via my hotmail e-mail address for approximately two months; when I try to send one I get a notification saying that I have to activate my hotmail account. When I click on the link to activate it and enter the confirmation code as required I get a page with a error code on it. How can I solve this issue if needed I can provide additional details.

This is a new set up, and i can recieve emails ok, via pop.freeserve.co.uk. i have removed the norton internet suite, and am using AVg 8, which i have disabled to try get it to work. The mail program is in the allow list on the firewall ( zonelabs)

Have my own domain and can't send emails to my 2nd user account or to myself using Windows Mail. Added my domain to the safe senders list but it still just black-holes. No errors ion the log, nothing indicating there is a problem. If I use another client the mail goes thru just fine.

I'm trying to send an email but keep getting asked to set up a new email account and then getting the following message:

My main email account is a 'Hotmail' one, and it would be really inconvenient to change it.When I exit the Wizard it says, 'You do not have any accounts configured for

I'm trying to set up a new email account on a new laptop. I've got my own email account on my own PC but want to set up a separate account for my wife on the laptop. So far as I am aware I've followed all the printed instructions but still can't get the account to work. Step by step this is what I've done:
1 clicked Tools>Accounts>Add
2 (a) on the Properties>General Page I've typed my wife's name in Mail Account
(b) in User Information I've put her name
(c) in Email Adress I've put her name xxxxxxxxxx@btinternet.com
(d) ticked 'Include this account when receiving mail or synchronising'3 on the Servers Page:
(a) Incoming Mail POP3 I've entered mail.btinternet.com
(b) Outgoing Mail SMTP I've entered mail.btinternet.com
(c) in Email User Name I've entered my wife's name (not the email address)
(d) when I try to enter a password the space is grayed out..............

I have just transferred from a Windows XP PC using Outlook Express 6 to Vista PC with Windows Mail. I successfully migrated one email account and it works fine. On a second account I get the windows security box asking for username and password and even when I enter them correctly I get the box again. When I cancel I get the following error message:
Account: 'Estradia general', Server: '127.0.0.1', Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '-ERR unknown user name or bad password', Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC91. However the username and password are correct, and the account does send and receive emails OK. The account is located with the same ISP as the fully functioning account. I have checked that all the settings etc for the caccount are correct, and have tried manually inputting them with same effect.

While using XP Outlook Express, I was able to add the account for my online school, Walden University. Everything still worked fine even after I upgraded my computer from XP to Vista. Now the school has changed their email program to be some kind of eCampus. I followed their instructions for adding an account to Outlook Express and was told that they should be the exact same for Vista Windows Mail. However, when I set up the account, before I can send and receive, I get a user verification screen where I have to type in my user name and password. This screen just shows up repeatedly even though I know I am using the right user name and password. I finally hit cancel and receive an error that my email could not complete execution to send and retrieve email messages for that account.
It is set as a POP account. I don't know if there is a problem with Vista compatibility, or a problem since I still have dialup and not highspeed, or if the school is wrong with their instructions for adding an account. I can provide more specific information regarding all the settings if anyone thinks they can help me. I am extremely frustrated with this since I have been able to view my school emails through my personal email account for years. Now I have to login to the school webpage and check my emails via a different link. I know it doesn't sound like that big of a deal, but the convenience factor right now is huge in my little world.

I am using Windows Mail with Vista.(Am use to using Outlook Express with XP) I often like to copy things, clean them up and send them to myself to check before sending out to friends. They won't come through mail box. They don't come back as not sendable, they don't come through. They just disappear. I also like to sometimes send web pages to myself when I find something that I want to read later; and sometimes a link. But this is same as sending myself an email and it does not come through. Are there settings that need changing?

I just updated Vista with the service pack 1. Ever since doing that, I cannot send mail through Windows Mail, however, I can receive. Every time I try to send a message I get an error that says:
