Could someone let me know if there is a way to turn up my voltage in my Asus M2N32 Deluxe? I'm wanting to go to Vista 64bit and want to install 8gb of memory with Vista 64bit but the voltage requirements for the 8gb memory are higher then what i'm set at now running XP Pro 32 bit 3gb memory..
View 4 RepliesI want to set a static ip and it works untill I reboot then local access but not internet. When I try to switch back I have to power down the motherboard to make it change back. Weird AAH! Its like the nic on the m2n32-sli deluxe never releases its memory untill I shut down the power supply manually.

I have an ASUS M3A32-MVP Deluxe Series Wifi Edition motherboard, which is capable of running 8GB of RAM. In have a Phenom 9500 quad-core cpu, which is 64-bit. I have 4 DIMMS of KVR667D2N5/2G, which is the RAM the motherboard manufacturer says runs in the board at 8GB.
I run Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit Sp1 and Windows XP Pro SP 2 as dual-booting Os'.
I cannot boot to the desktop with 4GB of RAM in, and have tried all the RAM DIMMS alone and in 4GB configurations of all which works. It is in continual reboot with 8GB installed.
I tried the KB929777 patch for 64-bit Vista, but it reported that it is not for this system.
ASUS claims that the master boot record is the problem, but VISTA always crashes before it will let me fix the master boot record, or reinstall Vista or anything.
I reinstalled vista home premium 32bit and just when i was finish i got this text The computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered an unexpected Error. Windows Installation cannot proceed,. To install Window, click “OK” to restart the computer, and then restart the installation. i red somwhere that it would fix to change the voltage to DDR and now i wonder how do i change it? I have BIOS version V1.0B

disabled Data Execution Prevention.
disabled user acces control
i am running as an administrator
ive reinstalled it numerous times w/ firewall on and off
also it says that it needs a symols file for the binary codes to run debugger i am a machinist not a comp. guy and this laptop is brand new and was purchased just to run turbocad and quickbooks.
I just bought a new laptop with vista home premium when trying to install Money Plus Deluxe it seems to install but when i try to open it says i need to run setup from the cd. i tried installing in my documents same problem. not sure what to do i'm running as the admin so that shouldn't be a problem.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've used Vista (home basic) for a while now and there wasn't any serious compatibility issues with the motherboard. I reinstalled it a couple of weeks back, and ever since then, there's been an issue with shutting down the computer. Usually, if I select SHUT DOWN from the start menu, the computer doesn't shut down completely, but enters a sleepish/suspended mode.The red (busy/status) light doesn't flicker, but the fan and the green (power) light remains on. Also, I have a WD My Book (500Gb) connected, and usually it shuts itself down once the computer powers down. Now though, when the computer enters this "sleepyish" mode, the power light on the My Book switches from on to off every few seconds.
Oh and also, even before reinstalling Vista, I've never been able to WAKE the computer after putting it to sleep. It just becomes unresponsive to anything (mouse, keyboard - I've tried a lot of buttons) and I have to press the power button on the computer. The motherboard is P4R800-VM, manufactured by Asus. I'm using a Creative Soundblaster X-Fi Extreme Audio sound card, and a nVidia GeForce 6200 A-LE graphics card. I don't think they've got any conflicting issues.
I have installed Flight simulator X the deluxe version. When I go to play it, it says (not enough room on hard drive to run. it says it only need 14 gb free to run it.

The game is playable but the motion becomes quite jerky whenever the on screen action becomes more intense. Also the mouse leaves droppings when Zuma's custom cursors option is enabled. The processor is a 2700Mhz Athlon and the graphics chipset is years newer than the ATI card in the PC this one replaces. Has anyone else experienced these symptoms with Zuma? Is there a way to fix this or am I seeing an incompatibility problem between this game and something in hardware?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI got an ASUS M51 laptop 2 years ago with Vista Ultimate 32. I felt pretty good about the machine, until I connected a second LCD monitor with DVI connection. Connecting with VGA port had no crash problem, but I prefer using DVI with a HDMI/DVI cable. Using non-Aero theme had no problem.
Occasionally the system reported graphic card driver crashed and tried to recover. Sometimes the system recovered, more often not, leading to total crashing of Windows.
Surely I did the following:
1. Reinstall the latest graphic drivers.
2. Reinstall the latest ASUS splendid utilities.
3. Keep Windows patches updated.
4. Install and uninstall some Windows hot fixes, as suggested by some newsgroups' posts.
5. Many other methods.
None worked. So I gave up Aero for almost a year. Until I read a post when searching for answer about mysterious disappearing of desktop icons when the desktop is refreshing sometimes. The post had the finger pointed to Power4Gear eXtreme. For some reasons, the default settings of Miscellaneous power settings of the Quite Office profile will hide desktop icons. After changing the setting to No, the desktop icons stay still forever. And the Windows graphic driver crashing occurred less often.
As the crashing still happened, so I uninstalled ASUS Splendid utilities. And crashing of graphic driver never come back.
I have an Asus Lamborghini VX1 notebook that came preloaded with Vista Ultimate 32. I recently upgraded to Vista x64. Most of the drivers are ok, barely. The one main driver I can not seem to resolve is the Display Driver. Device Manager names it a standard graphic adapter, though I know it is a Geforce 7400 by nvidia.
I have downloaded a driver from nvidia manually and trying to install, it tells me I dont have Vista running. I tried automatically detecting on nvidia and it advises to visit Asus website. I visited Asus and could not find any drivers matching a 64bit version.
I have an Asus Z53E series laptop. I never had this problem before, & suddenly I started to get this message around two months ago: "Asus live update stopped working", then internet explorer closes. The fault module name is: "kernel32.dll" I don`t understand what`s changed for the live update to stop working, the only downloads done on the last couple of months have been mostly automatic windows updates, & other general updates like adobe.
I have realized recently that "Asus live update" seems to close when I try to upload pictures from my computer to facebook. It seems to go crazy when I attempt any sort of Internet uploading. What I`ve been doing is exiting the Live update when the messagge window pops up, & that seems to be working, for the time being. But the problem is still there. Somebody said in a forum that "Asus live update" is useless, & that it should be removed from the programs cos it has no use & it malfunctions a lot.

The only way to turn the display back on is to close and then open the lid. This disconnets me from AOL, so I have to sign back on again, and if I was emailing, I might lose my current email. Under Power Options, I have 'Turn off the display' set to Never for both On Battery and Plugged in. Under 'Put the computer to sleep' I have both On battery and Plugged in set to never. Nonetheless, the display still shuts off while I am working. What do I need to do to prevent the display from turning off at odd intervals?

This laptop is using Vista, and I cannot find anything comparable. Now, I don't want to run it with administrative privileges, I changed the directory's security permissions to (everyone - full control) and make them inherited to all its sub-directories. The program reads & writes fine with existing files. But the program creates a c file inside its directory and tries to let a C compiler on a network drive compile it. That 92s when the problem comes in. It creates the c file all right, but the c compiler cannot read it (saying =93permission denied=94). If I turn UAC off, I don 92t get errors, but I don 92t want to turn it off.

I pressed Turn User Account Control on or off > Continue and find that it is not ticked and UAC is NOT on. I keep ticking the box and going OK but it just doesn't turn on.
