Cisco VPN On Not Working

Apr 17, 2008

I have a windows vista laptop. It connects to a linksys wrt300n router, which in turn connects to my dsl modem (speedstream 5200). DSL and internet connectivity is all working fine. I was able to establish my cisco vpn connection and interact with the remote machines up until apr 2, first thing in the morning. Today, I can still establish the cisco vpn connection, its just that I cannot get to anything on the remote network including the default gateway for the remote network.

Cisco Not Supporting

Mar 20, 2008

I downloaded the NCP and Kaspersky detected it as a trojan. installed it anyways, as I need it and there is no way to configure it for my NAT/PAT network that we use. I am using the Cisco VPN on my lappy but I need it for vista x64. Cisco is NOT supporting it and the only VPN I have been able to try is NCP. Searches all over the net yield 0 results or bad bandaids like running VMs and rerouting everything. Is there a way to successfully connect using Vista's Built-IN VPN or do i have to downgrade to x86 and loose 1gb of ram?

Fails When Attempting To Install The Cisco VPN Client

Aug 4, 2008

Has anyone seen or heard of a fix for the VPN client in x64? We had an end user at our office purchase a Vista Home Premium x64 laptop. Pretty nice machine but it fails when attempting to install the Cisco VPN Client. From what I understand, the only fix is to run a VMWare XP in 32 bit mode and install it there. At least this is what we had to get it up and running. This was several months ago and I'm hoping that Cisco has released a patch or new release for this.

Apr 4, 2008

I have downloaded the cisco vpn client v 5.0.03.0390. I have a secondary internet connection at work which is wireless. I have been testing on this work wireless connection and ran the cisco VPN client and it was able to
connect.

Now i got home and the same wireless configuration pop up came on, i setup my home wireless and it again asked me if it was a work, home or public connection i choose home. Also, i have WEP running on my home network. My cisco VPN client keeps coming back with the following error: "Secure VPN connection terminated locally by the client. Access Folders Under My Name (set Up As Administrator), Most Of The Time I Get Access Denied

Jan 27, 2009

I try to access folders under my name (set up as administrator), most of the time I get access denied. It is driving me nuts. I want to change the start menu and get rid of a bunch of garbage but I can't enter the folder to do so. When I use the start menu program, it only has a few basic folders. This happens frequently, even when trying to view pictures or video in the folder. What do I need to change to remove this very annoying problem?

My AD password has since changed and I cannot connect to the server to have access to other files set up for offline access. When I attempt to remap the drive, I get an error stating I am already connected using the credentials provided. This is not true, since I cannot access the server. Using Different Computers To Access WM

Jun 28, 2008

I recently set up WM on my desktop using my AOL email account information. I can view email in AOL until WM refreshes and the emails are visible there as well. However, if I read the AOL mail first, it doesn't make it to WM. I also set up my laptop with WM using the same AOL account but I can't seem to see my emails there, unless of course, I intercept them just as they come in. Is there a way to see ALL my emails on WM on either computer? I don't care if I can't use AOL anymore but do want the ability to see my emails regardless of which computer I'm using. Am I supposed to save to a server? If so, which is considered the server?

What has gone wrong here? Is there some way to make a program "trusted" (like all Microsoft products) so that it doesn't ever need verification for all accounts on a system?

To 64 Or Not, OS Wont Access ?

I would like to run extra RAM in my system and I know 32bit OS wont access 4gig or more but other than addressing more RAM what esle is a plus? I'm a litle worried as all the people in the computer shops tell me I have to stay clear of 64bit OS as there is too many problems and I can't use any of my current software/games. Can you put a little faith into my thoughts/choices. Also is Ultimate really worth more money than Home premium for the average person?

Cannot Access Computer From XP

I have looked at help files, I have searched all over the microsoft website, I have looked at previous question/answer topics from this section, but I cannot find out the answer to my problem. XP cannot access Vista with no problem: vista shows up in the
network places, when I turn the password requirement to share off in vista, I
can even access Vista from XP.

BUT: when I turn the password requirements to share on in vista, I cannot access my vista PC from my XP PC. HOWEVER: the original accounts on both computers have the EXACT SAME name, AND the exact same password, even the password hint is the SAME! STILL I cannot access my Vista PC from my XP PC.I have tried creating another account on both PCs with the exact same specifications, but even then as long as the password requirement to share is set as on in Vista, I cannot access the files on my Vista PC. Can't Get Access Certain Folders

Mar 23, 2008

I can't get access to certain folders, everything was fine until my HD went KaPuT, so I installed a new dual 160GB raid system so I won;t lose it all again, the only problem is now that I reloaded Vista Ultimate I can't access anything, I have turned UAC off (my god what a mess that is, who thought up that POS?) and gave permissions and turned over ownership of everything to me, there is nobody else listed as a user in my system, yet when I use my AutoCad LT 2008 and try to access files, when I click on the directory I need to get into, it does nothing, I can get into other ones, but not any of the ones with little tiny curved arrows in boxes on the lower left. I have access of them in explorer, but not through LT 2008, HALP !! I need to get back to work and this is killing me, I am fairly knowledgable in puter stuff, but Vista is insane. up until now I have liked it, but XP is looking better all the time.

* Are you certain this domain address exists? Its registration mayhave expired.

*Are you unable to browse other sites? Check your network connection and DNS server settings.

* Is your computer or network protected by a firewall or proxy? Incorrect settings can interfere with Web browsing.
