I have a Dell XPS M1330 laptop with Dell TrueMobile 355 Bluetooth. Recently my computer has had problems with detecting any Bluetooth device I've tried to connect. I was wondering if anyone knew what I should do. The only thing I've tried is uninstalling and reinstalling all the drivers

i have installed the correct driver for this belkin bluetooth usb dongle model: F8T012XX1 but in device manager, it has the belkin device and microsoft bluetooth enumerator, which is great. but when u get further down the list. it has a tab named "other devices" and then a subtab with "bluetooth peripheral device" which has an exclemation mark on it. i have searched for driver software using the update service but it cant find no update. i have looked for the name of the manufacturer but found nothing.i then disabled the unknown device, and sent a picture to my mobile phone. which confirmed that it was not the belkin bluetooth device. so i uninstalled the unknown device, restarted the computer. then when i logged in, it said that it had found a new device and wanted me to find the CD that came with it.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a HP Compaq 6715b notebook with Vista Business, the OS preinstalled from HP. For some time ago I connected my Sony Ericsson mobile to the PC as a new Bluetooth device. During the installation, I was prompted to install missing drivers for devices named "Bluetooth Peripheral Device". I never found any drivers, and finally I ignored it. The installation was successful as far as I can see, I have never noticed special problems. However, when I look into My Computer > Device Manager, there is a listing under Other Devices, 2 "Bluetooth Peripheral Device" and 2 "Unknown Device", in total 4 devices, all missing drivers. A quick look at Google tells me that there are many others with HP machines in the same situation, HP obviously does not install these drivers for some reason. I contacted HP support in Scandinavia, but they didn't know anything about Bluetooth Peripheral Device. I see further in Device Manager that there is a HP Integrated Bluetooth module (together with Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator), maybe these are substitute for the "Bluetooth Peripheral Device"? Can anybody tell me more about this? Do these missing drivers exist, are they important, or should they just be ignored?
View 4 Replies View RelatedCan not get my HP 7400 scanner to work after upgrading to Vista Ultimate 32 bit. Not the hardware - works fine under XP pro using same hardware configuration. Did a clean install, installed motherboard BIOS updates, scanner BIOS updates, Vista updates and the correct driver from HP. The scanner installed and Device Manager says device is working properly. When I try to scan, scanner initializes, starts to scan then locks up. Then can no longer be seen. ASUS M2N-E motherboard with AMD dual core. Other than that Vista works OK with the rest of my system
View 9 Replies View RelatedI recently bought the Microsoft Wireless Desktop 7000 keyboard/mouse combo. It is bluetooth driven and comes with a bluetooth dongle that plugs in via USB. When I plug it in, it detects the hardware and beings a 4 step 'new device software installation'. The first 2 pass, then it comes to installing a "base system device" and fails. I do not believe it is recognizing the dongle correctly and this is where my problem sits. I can manually install the driver through device manager for "microsoft tranceiver v3.0 for bluetooth" which is what it is stickered as, but even doing this does not get it working properly.
I am running Vista x64 Ultimate, I have all the latest MS software for this media package installed, and it also links to a Vista hotfix -- KB925528. When I try to install this it says "this update does not apply to your system". It's possible I have previously installed this via windows update, but if not then I don't know why it says that.
I currently use a Sony Vaio VGN-SZ56GN/B laptop. It comes with an integrated Bluetooth v2.0+EDR connection. It worked for the 1st year just fine but recently i have absolutely no connection with my bluetooth headphones. The only change that i have initiated on my laptop since then was installing some software for my Sony Ericsson mobile phone.. i think after that i lost connectivity with my bluetooth headphones. I have ensured that i am using an up to date driver (RFCOMM) and the device is enabled.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI just bought a Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000 to use with my Asus N70S Laptop which is on Vista 64-bit SP2, with integrated bluetooth. For some reason none of my bluetooth devices (my cell phone, and the mouse) will be discovered. I've set the bluetooth settings to "Discoverable" etc., and the correct services are enabled. Nothing comes up on the "Add a wireless device" page. I don't know what I have to do to get my devices to be discovered. I just saw that on my Device Manager, Bluetooth Remote Control, Bluetooth Hands-free Audio, Bluetooth Hands-free Audio., and Bluetooth Stereo Audio all have the yellow exclamation point on their icons.

I would like to use my Nokia BH-501 (Bluetooth) as a wireless headset for Skype, MSN or any other voice programs available. Generally, I do not have problem paring headset with the computer. I can easily establish connection between computer and device but that is all. Computer under Bluetooth settings recognize device and installation is done. I use Realtek HD Audio with latest driver. Once device is paired with computer, I do not know how to make it work. If I log on MSN, Skype, etc. under sound preference my headset is not on the list so I can’t select it. Also in Realtek HD Audio Manager there is no option to add new device.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've started to get some problems with bluetooth on my Dell Vostro laptop (running Vista Home Premium). Up until about 3 weeks ago my bluetooth mouse was working fine and I was able to connect to my phone via bluetooth. One day, the mouse stopped working and I wasn't able to reconnect through all the normal procedures. I initially thought it might be the mouse, so I got hold of another bluetooth mouse that is fine with my office XP computer.
I've even uninstalled and reinstalled all the bluetooth software and drivers from the Dell website, but no success. There is no reaction from the laptop when I switch the mouse and click the little button to start discovery. When I try to initiate a connection from my phone, a message pops up on the laptop saying 'a device is trying to connect, please click on this message'. I click on the message, but nothing happens. Has anyone got any ideas as to what the problem might be?
I just got a new computer with 64-bit Vista Home Premium, and am having some issues with devices. When I connected my Lexmark X6100 printer, Vista recognized it and even took me to the website to download drivers, which I then installed. when I bring up Printers in Control Panel, the Lexmark is not listed. The X6100 also includes a scanner which again Vista found, but it directed me to the same download as for the printer (not surprising). There is an entry for the Lexmark X6100 in my Start Menu, but the only option there is to uninstall the software.
My old computer ran XP Pro and the Lexmark worked perfectly there. There was even an icon in the system tray that appeared at startup. A second issue has arisen with my webcam, a Logitech Quickcam Pro 5000, which Vista also recognized, and there was a prompt which looked as though it was from the Logitech driver asking for a disk which I did not provide, because I didn't think it was necessary. The cam also worked well under XP without any additional software installation.
Vista's Device Manager reports that both devices are working properly, but I am unable to access either of them. I also installed a program called PDF Factory which I used as my default printer on my old computer, and it's working just fine - and it shows up in my Printer panel.
I used to be able to put a CD in my CD drive and upload the music to my itunes program. But, recently, when I put a CD in my drive, nothing happens at all. So, I went into the device manager and there is a message that says: "Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)"

Few days back, I was installing/uninstalling some programs. I don't know what went wrong, suddenly I found the links in "Computer" are not working. When I open "My Computer" ("Computer" in Vista), all the links like "Device Manager", "Remote Settings" etc are not working. It says for "Device Manager" - "Windows cannot find '%SystemRoot%\system32devmgmt.msc". However, if I run the same command from a DOS window, it exists. This is same for all the other links. My sound icon in the task bar also marked a permanent red cross. If I open Volume Mixer, it says - No audio device found. But I can still hear sound. I don't know what to do.

Lately it's down to a couple times per hour. horrible.error Description: Windows detected a new device attached to your computer, but could not find the driver software it needs to make the device usable. Each device manufacturer typically includes driver software of a CD that comes with the device, or as a download from its website. The hardware ID of your device is ACPIATK0110. the "ACPIATK0110" device seems to be my ASUS motherboard (ASUS M2A-VM AM2 AMD 690G Micro ATX AMD Motherboard). It was a home-built computer, so I still have the disc (But it was built properly, I've had it 2 years and this is the first problem). Anywho, I ran the disc to update the drivers... it said the drivers were installed... maybe 45 minutes later, it crashed. I went to the ASUS web site to get the most up-to-date drivers... crashed again within an hour.
So, considering that this happens after an hour or so of use (not during start up), on a system that's been running fine for quite some time... can it be anything other than my motherboard just being fried? I thought about throwing out a reformat just in case... but of course I can find my legit windows XP disc... but no sign of the CD key that makes it worth anything. (The person who built the computer put Vista on it, and I can't get ahold of him for the CD key he used... he wisely didn't give it to me, because I'd have lost it anyway).
I was able to watch movies and such the other day, and now today it's not working. it shows up this message: i'm not too good with computers.

View 6 Replies View RelatedThe Microsoft 6to4 adapter showed in the device manager that it was not working properly. If you look at yours it may show the same. I think I disabled it trying to update it. This was before I found this short sweet article from Microsoft. Does anyone know if I will experience problems in the future when this new technology gets more prevalent? If so, how do I get it back. I followed the instructions that a vista pro gave me to fix this problem and it shows in the reliability monitor that it was installed...but it is not showing int he device manager. Would it be installed but not show on the device manager?

I do not know much about it as it is not mine, but the problem is the audio was cutting out and now there is nothing. The computer is not recognizing any type of audio device installed. Even in Device Manager, there is no option for Sound, game and controllers. I have tried downloading the driver and installing, but no luck there.

I'm having a curious problem: Yesterday I plugged into the machine the dongle of my wireless logitech mouse, and for some reason the machine said "Your unknown device is ready to use" (my OS is in spanish, the messages may not be accurately translated). Since then, an annoying message pops every few seconds warning about an "unrecognized USB device", that "didn't work as expected". The best part is this, if I click on the tray icon, sometimes the informative dialog window is emply, an other times shows all the USB ports in the system plus one extra with a "unknown UBS device", even without any device plugged into the system. I've tryed removing the unknown device from the device manager, but it shows up again.
i had just bought an external hardrive and have install sucessfully on my windows vista basic. and a check on it appear to be " this device is working properly ".But the problem i encounter is that, it dosen't appear when i open "computer". there only (c) drive, (d) drive and DVD RW drive. There are no drive for my external hardrive.

Installation of any USB mouse would show a new "USB Human Interface Device" in Device Manager but it just won't work. Installation of the very same model of my original mouse didn't work neither. It then went to reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key. I went into the BIOS to change the boot order and inserted my Vista home premium 32bit. I then got windows is loading in files. After a short while I got the black start up screen with Microsoft Corporation but after a few seconds it just froze. Moments later it went to a blue screen with white writing part of which said the following; A PROBLEM HAS BEEN DETECTED AND WINDOWS HAS BEEN SHUT DOWN TO PREVENT DAMAGE TI YOUR COMPUTER.
Is any one having any problems with Bluetooth(HP9000 notebook) connecting to the Motorola RAZR v3i cell phone? Is there a new driver for Vista SP2. Do I need a new driver? Until recently(SP2 or update for Motorola phone tools) it all worked fine. I have gotten new software, uninstalled and reinstalled several times and still when the notebook boots the cell phone go's crazy(The bluetooth on the cell phone should not activate until I start the controlling software which is Motorola phone tools).
Even with the problems the connection still allow me to transfer data and manage the phone directory using the notebook/cell phone bluetooth connection. On the cell phone the bluetooth earpiece works fine. Is any one else experiencing such a problem??

The modem and Bluetooth connection are working fine outside WFS and I can successfully connect to a VPN over the internet using the mobile phone's modem via Bluetooth. I just can't think what could possibly be the problem. Has anyone else tried to set up their mobile phone as a fax modem over Bluetooth?
By the way, my carrier is T-mobile. I have already called them and they have confirmed that fax and data is enabled on my account. I'm using a Nokia 6233 but I don't think that should be relevant because I can already us the modem over Bluetooth to connect to the internet.
How do I find how to enable or even if my computer has bluetooth?
