I tried to connect to BT Yahoo Broadband yesterday (it had been working fine), when I got "sorry, the attempt to sign in failed", after pressing the help button the next message read "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library. C: Program Files Yahoo Browser Ybrowser.exe. A buffer overrun has been detected which has corrupted the program`s internal state. The program cannot safely continue execution and must now be terminated"I can connect to BT Yahoo wirelessly using my laptop, but not on my desktop PC.I tried using system restore and tried about 6 different restore points going back a month or more, but every time got the reply that the system could not be restored to that date.
Getting this error message all the time: Internet explorer has encountered a problem and will shut down, blah, blah, blah. send report-don't send report. Sometimes it closes all the tabs I have opened, sometimes only part of the page comes up or it does recover but I keep getting the message. I often have to start all over and it's so frustrating and irritating. I'm using windows XP.
I've been getting a lot of Internet explorer errors. It's say Internet explorer needs to close. Also, I've been freezing on multiple sites or it never loads. I've had to ctrl+alt+delete to get off the net. Clearing cookies and temp. internet files seems to help for about 20 mins.
My Dad recently reformatted our computer, wish he hadn't! Now I keep getting Internet Explorer error messages that say something like "Your security settings prohibit ActiveX controls. This page may not display properly as a result". But I get this message when I am not even using the internet! I can't explore files or even access the control panel properly because this message will pop up and then somehow disable access. For example, I can open the control panel but then the error message comes up and when I click on "add/remove hardware" (or anything else), nothing happens! This is quite debilitating. Also, my current security setting DO NOT prohibit ActiveX controls, I have it set to "prompt". So the message doesn't make any sense at all.
my computer is incredibly screwed up! Nothing works, and it takes forever to load. here are some of the errors I get. I get an error message about DrWatson. I got the error signature for this one. Hasn't been connected to the internet since it was first made about a month ago to update windows.
error messages on my pc are becoming more frequent for some reason . The first one is when i try to install something sometimes a error box comes geaded "16 bt MS-DOS Subsystem" and it say C:unzippedfips20fips.exe, C:PROGRA~1SymantecS32EVNT1.DLL. An installable Virtual Device Driver failed Dll initialization. Choose "close" to terminate the application.
I have been getting a pop up online its from something called winfixer, I have tried getting rid of it by downloading a free pop up stopper but it has'ent done the job, so I decided to run this winfixer thing and see if I could get rid of it from there, I got a message on screen from google saying that this thing was trying to steal my personal and finacial details and gave me an option to get out of there or ignore and carry on well you know what I chose. Its still there though everytime I go on line how can I get rid of it.
error msg is about and how can I stop it from coming on whenever I boot up my computer. I am running Win XP Pro SP2. I could not copy this error msg into this box so I am typing everything that it says.

I am having a problem with active desktop. I have Windows XP SP2 installed on my machine and have an active desktop link to a flash file on the web. Every time I start my computer, start the flash file or the flash file ends, I get a "Internet Explorer cannot download - Unspecified Error" error. Do you guys have any advice on how to resolve this issue? Any way to suppress IE7 error messages?
I updated my Win XP drivers, and after updating them I was prompted to restart my PC, when restarting i got the BSOD with 0x0000008E and 0x0000005 error messages.
I recently reformatted due to slowing of my computer and things have been great, playing alot of Battlefield 2142 and it looks amazing on my rig, however today I was playing and things were going excruciatingly show, and eventually just stopped. I had to unplug it and turn it back on. I noticed problems immediately after XP loaded up and got on my user. Resolution was to a minumum, my AIM, Steam, and just about everything crashed and gave me the error report message. Everytime I load AIM or Firefox(IE too), it gives me an error report screen, however there really isn't a problem, i just move the error window to the corner of my screen and I'm able to browse freely.
I"ve just come from PC Pitstop for a computer scan ....this after I'd done disc cleanup, defrag, and spyware clean-up.....to find out why my computer's so darned slow. I got a score of 675 out of a possible 720, but the yellow flag was on the internet ("adjust your IE cache") connection. THEN, a little window popped up and here's what it says: "Messenger Service Message FROM to TO on 7/1/2006 2:38:41 PM STOP! WINDOWS REQUIRES IMMEDIATE ATTENTION Windows has found 55 Critical System Errors. To fix the errors please do the following: 1.Download Registry Update from "www.regfixit.com" 2. Install Registry Update 3. Run Registry Update 4. Reboot your computer. FAILURE TO ACT NOW MAY LEAD TO SYSTEM FAILURE!
I have been receiving error messages that cookies have to be active. Well why aren't they? I need help in activating them. I have an EMACHINE and use XP.
My computer showed this message; STOP:0x0000001E(oxC0000005,0x80457706,0x00000000,0x00000000 KMODE_ EXCEPTION_NOZT_HANDLED ADDRESS804577D6 has base at 804000000,datestamp 45069ebe-ntoskrnl.exe And the second shuts my puter down and doesn't stay on long enough for me to read!
I find these things on the computer and i am running xp windows and these are the messages, qkwoa.exe and they tell me to send to microsoft and i do and still keep getting this message. Now the other one is firewallrc.dll was not found.
screen turns blue and says "for any windows updates you might need, run the driver verifier against any new (or suspect) drivers" and it goes on like that. At the bottom it says Technical information: Stop: 0x000000c5 (0x0000004, 0x0000002, 0x0000001, 0x8054AE34) Then it says "beginning dump of physical memory, physical memory dump complete" "Contact your sysytem administrator or tech support group for further assistance"
She has a DELL laptop and keeps getting an error message about her VIRTUAL MEMORY being too low or something to that effect. It's a DELL P4 with 256meg of RAM and a 1.7 gig processor.
At the bottom of OE I find the following, "0 message(s), 0 unread, 297010 not downloaded" How do I get rid of all these not downloaded messages? I have deleted all messages from the box. Also if I look in "Local Drive (C)" and in folder "Outlook Express Stored Folder" it shows the following "microsoft.public.windowsxp.help and support.dbx" at 267,707 kb I am getting messages to compress files to get more space. Can I delete the folder "microsoft.public.windowsxp.help and support.dbx"? And will it automatically be replaced. I also use "Catch Up" , Sync setting are set for "New Messages Only"
My Dell 4600 is a Pentium 4, 3.00 GHz with 1536MB RAM and uses WindowsXP SP2 with 90% free space. I've just started having error messages: "Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and must close." This is very annoying. I did print out one dialog box: "Error signature AppName: iexplore.exe AppVer: 6.0.2900.2180 ModName: hpswp_selection.dll ModVer: 2.15.7.0 Offset: 000246b8.
From the ModName description above, it would seem to be associated with HP; and the only thing different re my pc is that yesterday I installed an HP C7250 all-in-one printer and did the recommended software installation as I do scan and fax in addition to copying, printing, and photos. What can I do to eliminate these error messages? Hopefully, there will be an easy fix.
I was hesitant to get another HP printer as I've had several. The first all-in-one was great and lasted about 5 years; the last 3 were not so good and were all replacements for the first with each successive A-I-O having problems of its own. Would you suggest that I uninstall the HP software, return the printer, and get a new Canon? However, I've read messages that users are frequently unhappy with Canon's ink-guzzling, expensive ink cartridges.
When I turn on my computer I get three pop-up messages. One just has a box that says TOPIC! another says delivery manager has encountered a problem and needs to close, and another says resource DLL is missing... Please reinstall application for McAfee Virus scan. I have reinstalled the Virus scan several times but the message never goes away. I don't even know what TOPIC! is and what is a delivery manager?
for the past few days i have been trying to restore my computer.. i am not able to do so because a few messages come up while doing so: R:W2247.GHO and the other one is GHOSTERR.TXT..
