hey good fellows out there. it seems the problem has struck again.
this is a error message: Error code 0000007a, parameter1 c03dcf3c, parameter2 c000000e, parameter3 f73cf642, parameter4 22808860.
started up then there was the error reporting to settle, so it's a hard disk error, but what exactly is still not known. here's what i was doing just BEFORE this error occured.
I got infected with a browser highjacker. (and who knows what else) I ran chkdisc -- was OK. Decided to restore to a week earlier. Seemed to be Ok. But ---- when I started up I a 7B blue screen flashed on and immed turned machine off (don't even have time to read the rest of the codes or anything else on the page).
My computer was working a minute ago. I decided to restore it. I put the disk in, except it belonged to my other Sony computer. The computer message was that it was the wrong disk. So I took it out. I rebooted the computer and got the blue screen of death it says Dumping physical memory to disk and started at 0 and got to 60. I figured it'd explode at 100 LOL so I better shut it down. I rebooted several times but that always comes up. I rebooted and hit F8 I think it is which gave me the option to reboot the hard drive, a floppy, or the DVD drive. I did one at a time, rebooting in between each choice. I still have that screen. Did I totally ruin my computer? Oh sigh.I can get to nothing but that screen. No control panel.I then figured I couldn't make it much worse, so I put in the Windows XP disk to just install Windows XP again, but the computer wouldn't even pick it up. The disk was spinning, but the screen remained the same.
I recently have built a new PC using parts i ordered and parts from my old system which desperately needed to be replaced. After my new system was created it ran well for about a month. When i came to turn on my PC one day i was greeted by a blue screen telling me that my windows registry files became corrupt. I used Microsoft.com's fix using the setup disk and had my PC working again. About a week later i was surfing the net and soon every program i accessed started to become corrupt. Knowing i didn't wanna mess with any log Microsoft fix i simply formatted and reinstalled windows XP on my system.
I have a HP pavillion laptop windows xp.I think i got a virus back and tried to remove them with some anti spyware stuff but in the end i tried to reformat and this is what happens. I have my set up disk in, i start up my computer. Blank black screen with blinking _ in the top left corner. After a bit of loading in this screen it says Press any key to boot from CDa blue screen with Windows Setup is in the top right. At the bottom it says "Setup is loading files" etc etc. Text flashes in the space beside.a screen tha tsays "A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer. If this so and so" I think this is the blue screen "of death"?
EDIT: *** Huge Development, This idiot mistyped, it was elpow_spy.sys I think I got this figured out now but I'll post back if not.Hey, Basically when I start up Windows it loads all the way to my desktop, and about 10 seconds later it just restarts again and continues in that loop. All my fans appear to be working fine and I've dusted the insides of my computer pretty well. In the Advanced Startup Options I disabled automatic restart upon system failure. When I proceeded to reboot, about 10 seconds after loading to my desktop, I got the following blue screen error message, The problem seems to be cause by the following file eplow_spy.sys PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA *** STOP 0x00000050 (0xE35B000, 0x0000000, 0xEED86058, 0x0000001) *** eplow_spy.sys - Address EED86058 base at EED83000, DateStamp 42f22cac
I am using a compaq laptop running amd sempron. over the last 2 days i have gotten the BSoD and the error that comes up is that NV4_DISP is the cause of it every time. i looked it up and that is in my nvidia files. All my windows are updated, as is my direct X, nvidia drivers. i scaned for virus, spywear, anything i could think of.No errors come up anywhere, no virus, no spywear, according to my machine everything is running right. So my quesiton is, why the BSoD and if it keeps coming up in my video card, does that mean its dying ?
My PC crashes some times , sometimes playing games but other times I am just playing old games (MAME32 etc.) that do not require any CPU power. And sometimes I am just surfing the net and listening to music when the screen appears. One of the screens I recorded showed the error: 0x0000000A. I scanned the registry with Registry mechanic but it crashed again after some time. The error this time was 0x0000008E (parameter, parameter, ..., ...) I cant understand the reason. My Power supply is ok since it is relatively new and has nothing to do with the crashes (it crashed before and after change of PSU).
Error message(blue screen of death): "STOP: c0000218{registry file failure} the registry cannot load the hive(file): systemrootsystem32configsoftware or its log or alternate it is corrupt, absent, or not writable
beginning dump of physical memory physical memory dump complete. contact your system administator or technical support group for further assistance." I was told that windows needed to be rebooted. So I moved my hard drive to another comp and transfered all my memory onto an external hard drive so I could reboot windows. I found an xp cd and tried to reboot from ide cd-rom and it wouldnt work. i ran a diagnostics on my ide and this error came up "primary ide: 0 st380011a- fail code 7"
A problem has been detected and Windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer. If this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again follow these steps.Check for viruses on your computer. Remove any newly installed hard disks or hard drive controllers.Check your hard drive to make sure it is properly configured and terminated. Run CHKDSK /F to check for hard drive corruption, and then restart your computer.
I am running a AMD 64, 1 GIG memory, Asus motherboard, real nice computer.Everything has been working fine until last night. I received the BLUE SCREEN and now when I try to re-boot I get a message which reads NO HARD DISK DRIVE DETECTED.I dont want to lose all the family photos and such that I have loaded up on this machine.
when i tried to use existing HDD with another computer, it didn't boot and gave me BSOD and restarts. I couldn't read the error, plus i couldn't change the settings to cancel restarts after crash because i couldn't boot windows.I have no problem with formatting the HDD and do a clean install but my dad said he had done a lot of customization so he wants me to make backup settings and files. Windows has this great feature but this options is available under windows but i couldn't boot the windows.
Did a check on my C: for errors, on step 4 it stopped at 19% saying there was an unspecified error, not enough memory to repair bad clusters detected in file 24971.Worried about virus, but it crashes before I can complete a test HELP.
Every time I boot up I get a blue screen that says I have a a disk error, but I can cancel the test. If I let this run and let it start testing, It responds with "unspecified error" after a second or two. I have manually run the disc checking on all HDs. No errors found. Is this some kind of a joke, a virus, or distraction so some malware can load?
when I turned on my computer and got the blue screen of death, so I restarted my PC. Then a black screen came up saying "Windows could not start beacuse the following file is missing or corrupt : windowssystem32configsystem."
You can attempt to repair this file by putting the winxp cd in etc...
Now when i turn on my computer there is just a black screen showing, with nothing at all on it.
my Toshiba Satellite M110 recently froze, crashed, displayed the blue screen (beginning dump of physical memory). i restarted the computer, but it suddenly displayed: Read Disk error. Press Ctrl + Alt + Del to restart.I talked to Toshiba Corp. Australia, but they said i had to bring it in to be repaired, or backed up, then a system restore. my dad has a technician friend, who will be able to back it up... but is there any other ideas? i mean, this might sound rather random and deranged, but does anyone here know how to open up and remove a HDD (hard Disk Drive) from a Toshiba Satellite without blowing anything up? my dad's tech friend has a laptop USB HDD Caddy, but i just need to well yea. i have the recovery disk and know how to recover, so i got that bit covered, just the removal of the HDD before 2nite and safely too. other wise i can just get my dad's tech friend to do it.
having probs with my laptop still the tech guys that I have working on it are taking forever.it's been 3 weeks now.lemme explain. they have finally gotten xp blasted onto the HD but now when they try to boot it gives them the "blue screen of death" with an err msg. but it flashes so quick that they cant tell what the err msg is.for some reason the puter wont boot from a cd either.
my husband, in trying to be helpful, decided to try to clean my Microsoft split key keyboard (the one that's sealed & is NOT supposed to be opened). When he reconnected the keyboard, he started a cascade failure in my W2K Pro (SP4). The most recent error code is "0x000000D1 (0x00000017, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0xEB77B691) Address EB77B691 base at EB778000, DateStamp 3e25babe-uhcd.sys" I've tried the recovery console in the W2K disk with no result. I can boot in safe mode and the event viewer lists numerous missing paths & drivers. Any suggestions short of sacrificing a goat @ midnight? (or even worse, reformatting & starting over - over 17 gigs of data & programs that I really can't afford to have disappear into cyberspace.
I keep getting the blue screen of death whenever I try to connect to the internet. The message is:PAGE_FAULT_IN_NON_PAGED_AREA Disable bios memory options such as caching or shawdowing.intelc52.sys - adress f6f0c0e6 base at f6ee4000 date stamp 4048d1d3.The problem started to occur after I installed an older game on Windows XP.My machine is a Dell Dimesion 4600 with 1 gb of RAM.Dell suggested I try clearing the NVRAM, but obviously that did not work.
I am experiencing BSOD: win32k.sys.I could not boot into windows in any mode (safe mode...)Is there any way I can fix this problem and boot into windows as I need to recover my files back.
OS: Windows XP Service Pack 2 Computer: Dell Dimension E310 Problem: Last night, my computer was being real slow so I did a hard shutdown and after I let it sit for a minute, I turned it back on to see the BSoD with this STOP code: 0x0000007B (0xF7A24524, 0xc0000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000). When I restarted, it went straight to what I'm guessing is the F8 menu, where it says start in Safe Mode, Safe Mode with Networking, Safe Mode with Command Prompt, Last Known Good Config, and Start Windows Normally. I tried all 5 of those options and all of them bring me back to the BSoD, I'm out of options here and I'm broke so I can't call anyone out and really really don't want to format my hard drive. Thanks for any help.
My computer froze and I tried everything to get it working again (exit, ctrl+alt+delete, patience) , but it stayed frozen then went to a blue screen. Forgot what screen said but main part was telling me to reboot the Computer, I turned off by power button because no other way to shut it off. Then when i turned it on again, my computer was making weird noises, then went to ntdlr error after very long time. I press enter then it boots again and shows the "boot system error.
1) Can my files still be recovered and if so how? 2) How can i fix this problem?
I have a BSOD and I am getting a message of SESSION3_INITIALIZATION_FAILED Has anyone encountered this before I have run chkdsk and fixboot but I am still getting the same error
I started getting this nasty lockup on anything i do, a game, surfing the net it does not matter it just happens all the time. It does it even when tryin to use the win XP disk to format the drive! If there is anyone that has a idea on what to do here please help my pc has become unuseable Just to let you know i have not installed anything new hardware or software so im clueless to what has happen here. I run AVG for my virus scanner and add-aware with Spybot serch and destroy on a regular basis and i got nothing. When i could get it to run correctly i got hijack this to check and it found nothing wrong.
I am working on a HP Pavilion a462x running Windows XP Home Edition. The computer will load all the way up to the Windows XP screen, flashes the "blue screen of death", and then reboots. The owner of the computer no longer has any recovery discs. I have run CHKDSK /R several times to no avail. I have a Windows XP Professional disc. Is there any way to create a recover disc for the HP? Am I completely overlooking something?
Yesterday I tried to turn on my laptop and it jumped to a screen saying that windows was not shut down properly last time (Which is incorrect, it was shutdown properly and there hasn't been any abnormal activity or malfunctions with the computer. No programs were installed recently and only) it then gives me the choices of starting in safemode and such. Attempting to start up in any mode the computer goes through the beginnings of starting up.
Last weekend I had a problem where every time I started my computer I received a blue screen of death informing me that my computer had improper Boot Volume or some nonsense like that. Using instructions I found via Google (some from this site!) I restored my boot volume using the windows cd.Tonight yet again my computer has to decided to mess up with a blue screen after startup. this time I get further into the start process (but not to windows) than I did last weekend, but I don't have time to read what the blue screen says before it makes my computer restart. last weekend it would just hang on the blue screen til I turned it off but this time I get a brief flash of blue and then it's restarted. It also doesn't look like there's as much text on the blue screen as before.but it may be the brief period I get to see it (or lack thereof).I do feel as though the two instances are related as they seemed to start the same way. I went to restart my computer using the restart command, it would not restart, one of my open windows froze and would not turn off in task manager, so I turned it off manually. yes, I know that's not good at all, but I've turned it off before without it completely crapping out on me, it seems to only have this effect when it won't shut off when I want it to.
Despite the differences in the behavior of the startup error and the blue screens do you think it is the same problem? Should I try the boot volume restore thing again or could it be something else? I also have to note that I can't start in safe mode either.I am NOT in any way computer literate.I am completely technologically challenged so I hope you have some help and I'm sorry for taking up your time.
I also experienced the dread "XP reboots without warning" I understand this is by design in XP. Here's the twist. I ran my PC on XP Pro when I started getting the shutdown. In a attempt to diagnose the problem I used my brothers old PC to access my hard drive. I couldn't access my hard drive so I assumed it was because my brothers was running 98. I upgraded his PC to XP pro and wham...same thing now on his system and his hard drive. Almost immediately. His was known to have viruses. over the last two weeks I have installed XP pro and XP home in just about every conceivable pattern...upgrades from 98, full install from windows, full with reformat from boot disk, etc. There is only one thing consistent. 98 Runs fine, albeit slow and XP reboots at startup.
Decided to do the semi annual reinstall of XP. Machine was lethargic but not broken.Prior to starting had reassembled the latest drivers for motherboard, video card, printers, mouse etc and put on a USB stick..All went pretty smoothly but after about 6 hours started getting BSOD The only thing thats changed is software the last thing it did was 71 updates from Microsoft! I have searched other posts but what can I DO about the 'problem'.I have done all the obvious - chkdsk, scan for virus etc etcI cant roll back as it will pretty much take a single jump back to an unformatted drive. If I reinstall why whould I expect a different result ? (unless the order of updates is significant)
