I am running Virtual PC 2007 on a Vista Platform. Everything is good with the exception of setting up shared folders. I have three guest PCs running. I have installed Virtual Machine Additions on all three. I am able to set up and access a shared folder on the host system on one of the three with no problem but the other two refuse to access any shared folder. When I configure the shared folder, it shows up in the guest PC under MyComputer, but it shows as "disconnected" and is inaccessible.
windows shuts down after showing this error STOP: c000021a {Fatal System Error} The Windows SubSystem process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0xc0000005 (0x7c9111de 0x00c7f96c)
This is a past post that someone else posted but I'm having the same problem and I did not understand the solution. Here is what he put:"Windows won't start up on my badly-infected WinXP PIV. It gets past the logging on to windows prompt and then this error message comes up userinit.exe application error (0xc0000005) and Windows then fails to load completely. This also occurs in safe mode and I haven't been able to bypass Windows and boot directly to DOS by using the F8 key on startup." This is exactl my issue except I haven't tried to go to Dos mode b/c I didn't know how. This was his reply..."See if this helps:Restore WinlogonUserinit Line #263 right side http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm
I need a Virtual Machine to test an operating system stored as an .iso file, I've tried VMware Workstation, but it was too difficult, does anybody know if there is a good an easy tool?
In my Windows xp pro, I had TV tuner card installed, which used to work properly. But, now whenever I try to use this program I get the message the program is not responding or the program has encountered an unexpected error and has to close down. what's wrong with the program and how do I correct it.
Attempt to reinstall windows i have 2 striped drives, i need to reinstall my raid drivers but every time i try to install the drivers it always says that it can't read it, i finally got it to read but then it says this file caused an unexpected error and the installation fails and i'm back at my original installation of windows.
I have windows xp and it's set on automatic windows update and i'm trying to finish the downloads but i get an error saying "This setup will only upgrade over an existing version of Microsoft VM WTF Does THat mean
Just bought a new PC and after loading software, etc starting to see the above error message displayed twice (2 error message boxes) every time I boot up. Does anyone know how to eliminate these 2 errors?
I have problem whenever I start my laptop, it will show a box message saying that "Java Virtual Machine Problem, cannot find the main class". I try to search through the web and figure the problem, and at the end someone taught me to download the adware program. However, after I download it, it didn't solve the problem, plus it make my computer contain some virsus.
Had my PC in Oct its a tiny by the way, since new it has had a fault when turned off ,but power still on at the mains, the phone rings the PC boots up, also lately is has been shutting down saying problem has been detected, and recovered from an error, i have restored it back to when it was working fine but still the same, tried to get hold of tiny but get a guy who i cant understand on the other end of line.
The CPU fan for my Dell Dimension 2350 desktop computrer stopped working and I got the BIOS error "Alert: CPU fan not detected". So I replaced the CPU fan and the fan works good but now I get this error message when ever I turn my PC on. When I press the power button, I get the Dell logo and I get the Phoenix-Award BIOS screen with the error message "Alert: CPU fan not detected. Press F1 to continue,F2=SETUP,......". When I press F1 the system continues to boot fine and the Pc works fine. My CPU is cooling fine also.
I browsed through the posts of this forum and I hope you can help me to sort this issue out. I often experience dr Watson postmortem to cause my Windows Explorer to freeze. This is particularly true when I display a number of pictures in a folder directory as icons or when I open a divX file with Windows Media Player. Sometimes, even when I drag and drop a media file (the longer the file the higher the risk), I experience system freezes. The only way to recover that is by stopping the operation through the task manager.I understand that the problem is not with dr Watson per se: this is just the debugger, but I cannot sort the cause of the problem out.
So I have been having this issue with a program crashing and displaying a error message. Also just a note, This problem is happening on a windows xp pro machine. When the icon to start the application is clicked the program automatically displays the error. So I never actually get into the application. The error message reads "application failed to initialize properly 0xc0000005" (0xc0000005 means an access violation memory error occurred)
Now this is odd because the program works on other computers(of all different types)amd64, amd64x2, Intel core2duo, Intel celeron D, and a regular Intel P4 board. All with various different rams and such, leading me to assume this is not a hardware problem. I have tried to use the built in program error debugger in windows "Dr. Watson" to get a error log. but for some reason the program does write to the file.
Dumped Vista and installed XPP. Went smoothly, except get this message on start-up. Adapter 1 -no array defined -no hard disc detected continues on and windows starts, no problem.

My OS is Windowns XP. Lately while on-line, I have been getting a "virtual memory is low" error message and then my computer either locks up or I am booted off AOL. Can you tell me what might cause this type error? I have noted added any new software in weeks. The last install was my IPOD Nano.
Looking for some assistance please with the virtual memory settings on my laptop. I'm continually getting 'low virtual memory' messages which either result in th explorer page shutting down or with applicatons being unable to run (including games). I've tried adjusting the settings under 'system properties' but when I re-boot and re-check this it always reverts to zero. I'm following the correct procss in hitting 'apply', etc but this problem continues to appear. There is also a 'paging' error where apparently there's a problem with the paging file configuration when i start the computer.
I get a message telling me my virtual memory is too low. This usually happens when I run an anti spy/ad programme. This happened once after I ran an AVG anti spy system scan and twice when I ran a panda scan. Is this a genuine message or a fake from a virus/spywear?
She has a DELL laptop and keeps getting an error message about her VIRTUAL MEMORY being too low or something to that effect. It's a DELL P4 with 256meg of RAM and a 1.7 gig processor.
I run Windows XP professional sp2 on a P4 2.4GHz/512DDR/845MotherBoard/300GB 7400rpm HDD. I have noticed that if I keep my system running at night, which is when I generally download stuff from rapidshare and some torrents, it shows some kind of low virtual memory message when I have a look at it in the morning. Why is it happening? The applications that keep running throughout night are firefox, uTorrent, McAfee Security Center, and my DSL connection tool.
I booted up my computer and left it running for a while I noticed I got a Low virtual memory warning. So I opened up task manger and saw the my PF usage was extremely high (around 1.5 GB) and I didn't have anything open or running. Then I restarted it and had the same problem later. After a while some times it will render the computer useless as I can't get anything to run as its so slow. Even as I'm typing this message my PF usage is slowly increasing. I also notice that my "Handles" are slowly increasing too. All that I've done to the computer recently is install a Dynex Wireless G USB adapter. I dont think it's the cause of the problem because when I take the USB adpater out the computer and leave it running.
It seems that my PC every Sunday morning receives this error arround 4:00 to 4:30 AM. I am not even on my PC at that time, I am sleeping, Is there somehow a way that I can trace what process maybe started arround that time to make my system boost up the virtual memory?
My windows xp won'y fully load or work any prograns, I get pop=up windows with supposedly nothing there. I was getting low virtual memory and system resource mesages but I cant get into the task manager or control panel to try and fix the virtual memory.
Everytime I go online (via modem) I get this message: Windows - Virtual Memory Minimum Too Low - Your system is low on virtual memory. Windows is increasing the size of your virutal memory paging file. During this process, momory requests for some applications may be denied.

I was replying to an e-mail when a message something like 'Virtual memory exceeded, microsoft can fix this' came up. I believe I selected a 'go ahead' button and left it to fix the problem. When I came back sometime later the computer was not reacting to anything so I reset. The screen that shows my hardware etc came up and windows then started, however, when the start up appeared to have progressed to the stage where the screen goes blank and an arrow eventually appears it didn't! It went back to the screen that shows the hardware build and kept cycling in that mode.
I have a different computer, and when I go on it for about 15 minutes (tops) it just shuts down, with no warning at all. It is a Windows XP Home Edition SP1. I have thousands of songs and my father has very important files on that computer.
