"Fatal System Error" Blue Screen, Wont Boot From CD?

It has Broadcom PXE something, and every time I try to boot from CD ROM for my windows XP install it goes there and says "Media test failure" "Check cable" Then it goes to the windows loading screen, and it blue screens and says "Fatal System error" Blah blah, windows is shutting down.I'm trying to reinstall windows, but it isn't working, NOTHING will load when I put it in my CD drive.No Safe mode doesn't work, nothing on the black and white screen from pressing F8 works, at all.
i had XP 2008 virus/spyware, which I think I managed to get rid of with Malwarebytes' Anti Malware and System Mechanic 7. Now I have a new problem. After receiving a recent download from microsoft, upon restarting, I get the blue screen of death with this message; STOP: C000021a (Fatal System Error) The Windows Logon Process system process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0xc0000005 (0x00000000 0x00000000)
I can't get anywhere into Windows, I've done F2, F8, F12, everything I could think of without risking more damage. I've booted from the system mechanic CD with the Hard Drive recovery, and while it said it found and fixed a problem, it didn't fix this one.
the blue screen blocks out everything! there is also a grey box that says "runtime error" at programC:windowsexplorer.exe. I shut down the computer twice and on the second time, when it came on it said "rage 128 v."
Encountered a Blue Screen of Death error. The error stated that I should run Chkdsk and then proceeds to restart and bring me to the Windows boot selection screen (safe mode, last known good configuration, normally). No matter which choice I pick, it always leads to the BSOD then restarts. Since this is getting me nowhere fast, I want to just format and reinstall windows. I do not have my recovery CDs, and when I enter the BIOS to change the boot sequence I cannot change it so the CD drive is above the hard drive in priority. The reason it gives me in the bios is that "All items on this menu cannot be modified in user mode. If any items require changes, please consult your system supervisor. Any ideas on how I can boot off the cd and reinstall windows from scratch?
i have a hp dv7 1010 ep and i want format it , actualy it has vista on it and i want format to xp, but when i boot win xp cd, after he load everything , when was suposed to appear the section to chose wat to do, i get blue screen fatal error. Tried many times, always same result.
I recently built a new computer and it has been just an incredible load of troubles ever since the first boot up. I first installed Windows 2000 so I can actually boot up my computer then upgraded to Windows XP SP2. After this I had a messload of trouble getting errors during the XP installation which I believe were various fonts. Skipping over this the installation was successful and I was enjoying Windows XP. Now I did the automatic updates that is recommanded and let then download and install. Once they installed and the system rebooted, I never got to enjoy my computer.
After the restart the computer would hang where the log in screen should be then restart and do this over and over again. I thought this was an installation problem so I reinstalled 2000 so I could just reformat and fix the problem. Now my computer is rejecting every time I try to reformat and reinstall 2000 giving me various blue screen fatal errors and errors during the Windows 2000 setup preventing the installation from going any further..............
I have been getting the dreaded blue screen of death with STOP: c000021a (Fatal System Error)" Error Occurs when i log into my windows 2000 service pack 3 and my linksys wireless usb network adapter connects me to the internet. My computer will remain on and run fine if i do not connect to the internet. This also will happen if i connect to the internet using my backup 56k modem
Well I have never had 1 single problem with my computer until now. I decided to check for windows updates since I haven't done so in awhile. When I did, windows prompted me to install SP3 for XP. Everything ran smooth upon installation, so I restarted the computer as it suggested. Now, windows will not boot and it blue screens to "windows fatal error".
I tried to do a System Recovery today on my Sony laptop. Got 41% completed and had a fatal error. Options given were Ignore, Retry or Abort. Attempted a Retry. Got a fatal error message and everything locked up. I ended up shutting down and when I turned the computer on again it said no operating system found. Where did I screw up?
This is a six year old Sony, XP, AMD 1.0Ghz. Everything was working at the time I tried the System Recovery EXCEPT I was constantly getting low space messages for drive C. I have no files on this drive and very little software. It is a 20G hard drive partioned into two 10G partitions.
I have a problem J, I cant get XP to boot up. My pc blue screens mid way through the loading windows screen and then re-sets. I had a GPU hardware failure, after windows automatic installed some software a month or so ago (not sure what it installed as I wasnt using the pc at the time). My pc would not post and the mbos gave a GPU beep error message. I have just brought a new GPU and now I can get to the pc to part load. Tried using my recovery cd, but that only gets half way and then blue screens with a STOP 0x000000c2 error. I think its a driver issue but as Im unable to get into the recovery to troubleshoot further, im not sure what I can do. The only thing I can do is rig up my pc hd to my laptop as a slave, does anyone know any software that can check an OS that not being used on a hd? Is there anything else I can try? I have flashed the BIOS to the latest version.
have a gateway MX6453 notebook. I was having problems with it constantly rebooting it self. finally got it to boot in safe mode, couldn't really find or fix anything. tried to restart in normal mode, and did the restarting as soon as windows started to load. Thought I would try system revovery at the boot menu. It started up and started to run and kept giving error msgs about not being able to read or open files. (all files are on recovery partition). Well it frooze up about half way. Tried to run it again, and it starts to load and then BSOD. here is what i get STOP: c000021a {Fatal System Error} The session Manager Initialization system process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0x000026c (0x00000000 0x00000000) The system has been shut down. I want to know if this is something I maybe able to repair, or if i should send it back to gateway? My first guess is a bad hard disk,
My computer froze and I tried everything to get it working again (exit, ctrl+alt+delete, patience) , but it stayed frozen then went to a blue screen. Forgot what screen said but main part was telling me to reboot the Computer, I turned off by power button because no other way to shut it off. Then when i turned it on again, my computer was making weird noises, then went to ntdlr error after very long time. I press enter then it boots again and shows the "boot system error.
1) Can my files still be recovered and if so how? 2) How can i fix this problem?
I was working on my computer, Windows 2000 Pro.I was moving my foot under the desk and accidentally switched off the surge protector.I turned the protector back on and restarted my computer.I get a royal blue screen that says Stop Error.Inaccessible Boot Device.None of the F8 options work for restart, they all say the same thing.I really don't want to have to reformat.
System will freeze and require restart in the morning it will randomly restart and then say that it's recovered from a serious error and get blue screens but usually has various different filenames or doesn't have one at all just those addresses i'm not sure how to read the files windows puts in mini dump or how to use them.
This morning when I booted up, I got a blue screen that had a message telling me something about memory (I think, was still asleep). it told me to start in safe mode.I did that then turned off. When it started back up it was in the advanced options window. I selected "Start normal mode" I have tried to get it to do it again so I could get the codes but cant. I know it showed many partitions plus the message and codes. I am using XP Home with my Dell Dimension desk top. It uses a Celeron 2.53 GHz and 512 Ram. Thank You for any suggestions. Also I delete temp regulary and defrag every week or so but don't know anything other than that as far as maintaining system.
I've been having this problem with my Dell Lattitude D505 Laptop where I put it on standby, and then about 10 seconds after taking it off standby, I get a blue error screen telling me the system crashed. It mentions on the screen something about BIOS memory. Looking through some other posts, I have seen mention of a correlation between this screen and BIOS. does anyone think that this BIOS memory thing is in fact the problem? How do I resolve anything that deals with this BIOS memory? The help section on my computer just defines what BIOS is, it doesn't state where I can find it on my comp.
I have a dell laptop inspiron8600 with Windows XP and SP2. I recently get the same blue screen error every time i start my computer.IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL STOP: 0*0000000A(0*F89181C0, 0*00000002, 0*00000001, 0*804D9BBA) I ran the dell dianostic test for blue screen errors but everything was fine. Does anyone know the reason for that problem and/or a solution for it.
My system was working fine until I installed XP SP2. I am having trouble with a Blue Screen Error "DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL" I believe NVGTS.SYS is the culprit ? I have had to boot in safe made with network to come here to try and get help. Can someone please give me a suggestion as to what might be the issue? I am trying to install this on a new system build, Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4 GHz, EVGA NForce 780i SLI, 2 gigs of OCz DDR 2 800, Nvidia 8800GTS (G92) 512mb 256-bit GDDR3 PCI-E 2.0 x-16, WD 74 gig Raptor, Liteon 20X DVDR. My pc was running fine when it just started beeping like a warning klaxon. Rebooting didn't help, but rebooting into safe mode then normal mode did. Then 1 hour later while running spysweeper, I stopped the scan early because it was taking too long. It detected 1 adware and 1 trojan, but the log said the trojan (ruin) could not be quarantined and some threat was still in memory, despite a problem free pc except for the beeping which I thot was resolved. my pc locked up and could not be turned off manually, so I unplugged the cord in back. Then I got a blue screen after it tried rebooting. The bootup started normally, but then a blue screen read as follows, more or less-If this is the first time you are seeing this message reboot your pc. Otherwise check for viruses, remove any new hard drives or hard drive controllers. or refer to your startup manual. I can't even boot in safe mode.
I haven't fully rebooted in a week or so, mostly hiberating and that works just fine. I rebooted just today and encountered a blue screen of death indicating something about: "BOOT VOLUME UNMOUNTABLE" For the past 6 hours I've been reading all about this and the related problem: "The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable." Apparently my disk got corrupted somehow.
It's apparently not as simple as BOOT.INI being bad as is said to be a common problem. My problem seems very severe in the following way: I actually have another Windows XP installation on the same computer. It still works fine as does linux. However, if I try to access the other partition/drive (called e: in the other windows) then I get: "The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable."
When I try to install updates from Microsoft's site I get an error saying "Updates were not successfully installed." This happens during both manual and automatic updating. I search google.com high and low and cannot find a fix that works. I was messing around with CCleaner and deleted something to do with an old version of McAfee (which isn't even on my computer anymore) from the registry. Yes, it was stupid to mess with the registry I guess because I failed to make the backup and now my computer won't boot. I get the blue screen that says there was an error 0x0000008e, or something like that.
I have tried using F8 and choosing the last known good configuration but it doesn't work. Also, I can boot into safe mode and I tried running a system restore but after it finished and I rebooted, it said that I couldn't restore from that point.I haven't really tried another restore because I am a little afraid to do anything. I don't want to risk losing access in safe mode because I need to be able to back up some of my files if in case I have to do a reformat.
My computer had a turn yesterday and kept giving me the blue screen error on start-up, so using my windows disk I managed to run chkdsk. So I can get on now, but certain things won't run, like Media Centre, Firefox has forgotten my settings and also my iriver doesn't get acknowledged when I plug it into a USB port.So I am trying to run System restore to go back a couple of days.I can get into restore, and go through everything up to the point where you click 'next' in order to restore it.I click on next but nothing happens, it just stays there.

when I turned on my computer and got the blue screen of death, so I restarted my PC. Then a black screen came up saying "Windows could not start beacuse the following file is missing or corrupt : windowssystem32configsystem."
You can attempt to repair this file by putting the winxp cd in etc...
Now when i turn on my computer there is just a black screen showing, with nothing at all on it.

Man, my computer for the last two weeks have been crashing like an emo. I mean, when I play GTA: San Adreas, in 20 minutes, I get a BSOD with a stop error. When I put hardware acceleration to full, in a half an hour, I get a BSOD with a similar error. Believe me, I got three kinds of errors, and some were from different time. I believe the problem either came from the either the PSU, new 512 mb of ram, old 512, CPU, system board, or the graphic card. I'll try to post the error as best as I can. So, is there a solution to this? Error Message: STOP 0x000000EA THREAD_STUCK_IN_DEVICE_DRIVER (Q293078) This is one of them, but there another one with KMODE that I can't seem to remember. Also, sometimes, after it tries to recover from a serious error, the computer shuts down during the bootup before I can choose which XP version I can choose. Also, I hate to say this, but I'm not using a legit windows copy sp1, but I have updated to sp2.
i am trying to format hp a1268c windows xp when i do i get this error stop c00021a fatal error status 0x0000034 How do i fix this so i can format my computer?
After around 10-15 min after logging in a program error box opens up saying winlogon.exe fatal error then it switches to a blue screen saying fatal error c0000021a error. I have windows 2000 proffessional and a HP compaq nc6120 laptop.
When I start the computer, it asks if for the choice of Safe Mode, w/ Networking, w/Command Prompt or Normally.
I've tried them all and if I try it normally, it won't get past the XP loading screen. It's loading and then it flashes a blue screen for a second and then restarts the computer again.
I tried pressing F8 at boot and selected 'Disable automatic restart on system failure' and this is what I get

The start of my problem is that I was receiving an error 'cannot initialize lsass.exe service'.After repairing XP SP2, the following is displayed every time that I boot:SAFE Mode - black screen with 'safe mode' in bottom corners of screen Windows Mode - blue screen.The mouse is responding.There are no icons.There is no text (except for 'safe mode' as above)CTRL/ALT/DEL does not display task manager.CTRL/ESCAPE does not display anything.Clicking on various parts of thescreen has no effect.I have replaced Explorer.exe from c:i386
