Error Message - Could Not Find The Macromedia Flash
Jan 15, 2007
Everytime i leave my computer for a few minutes, I get a pop-up error message that reads "Could not find the Macromedia Flash". I've done google searches to find a solution but nothing!! Thanks in advance!!
Whenever I load a website in Opera with anything that uses flash, macromedia flash player to be exact, the screen flickers and turns hazy/fuzzy. Nothing is effected performance wise, but it's really annoying. I know Iexplorer supports the newest flash and shockwave pllayers, but are they supported in Opera? I tried downloading the newest version of the flash player, but that didn't help. I don't have this problem with internet explorer, but of course I don't want to use it...
I have managed to open up a game running on Macromedia Flash Player 7 and that game has now become a permanent icon on my desktop which has attached itself to the top of the screen. I can make it very small so it is basically out of the way but it has changed some other desktop icon settings as well and no matter where I go to correct the settings, I cannot get rid of the game or get my settings back to normal. I feel like I've done everything I know how to do which is considerable - but this one has me baffled. I am running Windows XP (Home Edition) on a new emachine.
When I load certain websites with flash ads and such, everything goes smoothly, untill the flash object loads and starts playing - once it loads the screen flickers and gets kind of hazy. Nothing is really effected or harmed, but the slight haziness/fuzziness is rather anoying. Once I exit the web browser, everything goes back to normal. It doesn't matter whether I'm using Iexplorer or Opera, so I'm thinking it is directly related to the Macromedia flash player.
I can't get the streaming videos to work when viewing pages from the internet. I have installed QuickTime 7.0.3. Instead of seeing the videos, a faded QuickTime symbol with a question mark appears. I am assuming that there is a plug-in problem, but can't seem to get it to work. I tried reinstalling Macromedia Flash as well, but it does not install properly. I get an error message asking me to make sure I am connected to the internet, when I already am.
a message keeps popping up saying the following: Cannot load dialog. Error 623: The system could not find the phone book entry for this connection. All I can do is click the close button and it goes away and nothing else seems to happen, but it pops up again in a few minutes.
On start-up, I get a series of paired error message that look like: First error message: Windows cannot find 'box,box,box... (where box is actually a graphic rectangle charater)Second error message: Could not load or run 'box,box,box...' in the registry. Make sure the file exists on your computer or remove the reference to it in the registry. This happens every time I start and I can click through to continue - but obviously something's off and I'd like to fix it. Though I'm not crazy about editing the registry, I'd do that to fix the problem, but I don't know what to search for.
as mentioned before, I get the error message cannot find shell.dll and missing or corrupt dll's"when i try to install some things.cannot find shell.dll on reboot.I have used, spybot,ad-aware,registy mechanic, error nuker and microsoft baseline security analyzer and nothing can fix or even find the problem.I have done a search for it.
I got back from class today and my computer was frozen. I forced a reboot. When it tries to load windows XP, I get an error message that says: Operating System Not Found Can/Should I load with the boot disks? I CAN NOT loose the info on my hard drive.
Every time I try to open a web link from my screen I get an error message that says "Windows cannot find, http// ... make sure you typed name correctly ...". Option is to click on OK, but right after message appears it will open the page and I can open all the other net links normally, but not internal pages until message is gone. I've re-installed Firefox. Only thing I haven't done is re-install windows.
Can someone tell me why, when I open a notepad file, whether from notepad or from Start Documents or what have you, I always get an error message: "Windows cannot find [file locationfilename.txt]. Make sure you type the name correctly, and then try again. To search for a file, click the Start button, and then click Search." However, the file does open in notepad behind this error message and I am able to view it, edit it, etc.
I would like this error message not to appear every time (it is really just an annoyance to cancel it every time but after a couple of years I am tired of it) so I tried to find this answer in the archives but to no avail. However, I saw that it was recommended by more than one tech guy (or gal) to save a "hijack this" file in notepad, so I followed the instructions and did that just after my latest error message... The "hijack this" copy of the notepad file follows, and if you see anything else that I should make note of please let me know....
Everytime I turn on my computer and windows starts up. It tells me it cannot find cfgmgr52.dll module. error loading it states. Our daughter opened a link and just loaded it up with so many stubborn adware. That with norton I was finally able to get rid of them.
When Windows XP Pro starts, I get the following error message:Windows cannot find 'SMSSuw.exe'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again. To Search for a file, Click the Start button, and then click Search.I've looked in msconfig and can't seem to find what is causing the problem
I can't find my Flash Drive icon in My Computer, but I can find it in Disk Management as H drive.A search in Google and it said that to change the drive letter/path to K or higher will be alright but I changed from K to the higher one at a time, still can't find the flash drive icon in My Computer.
In a not updated Version of Windows XP you can run (Start-run) "start"command at the Run dialog just typing it, when you update windows andwrite the same "start" into Run dialog Windows shows a error message >Windows cannot find `start`. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again. To search for the file, click the Start button, andthen click Search. If you are in CMD the `start` command works fine but the problem is thein Run dialog windows doesn’t recognize it ?

I'm running Windows XP SP 2 and I get an error message whenever i connect my blackberry curve to the computer. if the usb device is stopped, it will go away, but other than that it won't disappear after clicking cancel. if it helps, I installed the roxio media manager only yesterday, when the error first came up. Its name is Exception Process Message c0000013 Parameters 75b6bf7c 4 75b6bf7c 75b6b
Every time I switch on my machine and try to connect to the internet, I get a dialogue box: Web page is unavailable while offline. To view this page, click connect. When I click connect, I can view the page and don't get the error message again until I switch off the machine. Why does this happen?
I Plugged up a flash drive to get some pictures to print and the computer froze. It said that it had an I/0 error on that device.Well I restarted the computer and when it came back up, it said STOP: c0000263 {Driver Entry POint Not Found} The system Rootsystem32driversikfilesec.sys device driver could not locate the entry point IoGetDeviceAttachmentBaseRef in driver ntoskrnl.exe?SO now I cant do anything with it.it only comes up with that and is blue.
I have been having problems actually opening the adobe website for the past 4 weeks.I realise that macromedia redirects to adobe and so therefore I also have problems there.Fortunately I managed to reinstall my adobe reader and flash installers from a cd.When I type in the address, after it seems to have searched for a while I get the seasearch from MSN that says the site does not exist and asks if i meant to go to adobe.com! On clicking any links to adobe I just get the page cannot be displayed message! The odd thing is that after I reinstalled the adobe reader from the cd, it came up with 3 updates from the website and I installed them.I am running Windows XP, and have run AVG and adaware scans with no problems. I also run zone alarm (adobe is allowed, must be else it wouldn't have updated itself?)

I have a Toshiba USB flash drive. I have a problem when I using it on a win2000 sysem. It keeps poping up a warnning message saying I removed the drive. And then "This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31)". But it is just a standard drive so that does not make sense. Other USB drives have the same issue. I can sometimes get them to work for a bit before this happens. It is almost like I removed it. It also will just do this at random. It is working pops up the warning, then not, wait a few minutes and it is working and conencted again. I tried another ports and same issue. Other USB devices work fine though.
I am having trouble with downloading shockwave or flash 8. I have a linksys wireless router but the computer is directly connected to it. I have AVG free antivirus running. It downloads and is on the add/remove screen, but it won't work.
i am getting 2 error messages that necessitate me having to close and restart the computer - 1) illegal operation inplug-in ? shockware flash the plug-in performed an illegal operation. you are strongly advised to restart firefox and 2) firefox.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. i am at wits end and have no skills to resolve this.
