Sound Crashes On Browsers (IE / Chrome)
Jul 24, 2014Today i have noticed that my sound crashes some times in internet explorer and google chrome !
Windows sound still working so i find it strange .

Jun 1, 2014My parents bought an AX3995-UR20 in the last year, and very little has been downloaded on to it, so mostly the computer has the default programs. I have downloaded Word of Tanks onto it, but nothing other than the default game has been added, and I've experienced no issues with the game itself. Some of the problems I've been having are:
- Google Chrome crashes regularly
+ This usually happens when multitasking after Chrome is opened; I'll switch to another program (IE, WoT, etc.) and chrome will freeze, and then crash
+Issues with Google Chrome also happen to IE
+ WoT will update its state as I have Chrome maximized (move to another loading screen/ start game) and this seems to be when Chrome crashes.
+Chrome will also freeze/crash when I do something in Chrome, such as load a gif, without anything else open
- The computer will not update
+ it asks for a restart to update, and then fails to finish and abandons the update
+ this also happens when I attempt to force an update
- Sometimes, after sleeping, the computer will black screen and needs to be turned off manually before it can be used
+ I really don't like manually shutting off the computer every other time I need to use it, I don't want to hurt it/ corrupt data
-Word has crashed when I attempted to save my document; this has happened only once and could be a fluke
- Intel Support Manager tells me it crashed almost every time I log in
I am fairly sure, based on what it happening, that this is a problem with RAM, the computer not being able to handle so much at once; crashes happen during MORE resource intensive times, although I think that the computer should be able to handle these tasks EASILY.
Chrome crashes when more resources/programs used, computer should be able to handle them, however. Windows will not apply updates.
Chrome actually freezes for no reason, too; often, in the middle of browsing a page, it will stop scrolling and then crash.
No Sound On FireFox / IE And Chrome

I was watching videos on my PC, using FireFox, in the evening I went and had a shower, I got back and without any apparent reason, FireFox stopped producing sound.
I installed Chrome after checking all the basics, and Chrome does have sound, I can watch videos on Chrome with sound.
I have tried Youtube, MSN, FilmOn, Facebook (Games and Videos), Game sites, SoundCloud, and there is no sound. I opend IE, and tried the same, and got no sound. There is sound on my PC, if I open a MP3 in WMP it Plays, Windows system sounds play, Yahoo sounds play, Skype sounds play, I can hear them loud and clear. TheSims 4 plays sound.
I have done the following: Updated Flash, VLC, Java, Shockwaves, QuickTime.
Updated FireFox Updated FireFox Pluggins, Followed all steps here: [URL] ....
Updated RelTek, Uninstalled FireFox, Swiched Default browser from IE to FireFox and Chrome and back again, I have rebooted my PC 50 times, Deleted Internet cache, cookies, history, etc.
I have been to ControlPanel/InternetOptions/Advanced and made sure that "Allow browsers to play sounds" Is checked, I have updated my Graphics Card, and my Sound card.
On the Volume Mixer, (FireFox is no muted and its turned up) When I play a video, It remains blank, There is no movement of sound in the Volume Mixer. (Adobe Flash player is not muted either)
I am using a Razer Kraken 7.1 HeadSet, I have updated its drivers also.
I am using WINDOWS 8 Nvidia Geforce GTX 650 Intel i7 4th Gen 8GB RAM ...
PC Crashes Randomly With Lag Sound - CPU Temp 55C
May 28, 2014 it crashes randomly (no BSOD, just a total crash with a weird lag sound). And when it does, I restart it and I check my CPU temp ... it's around 55C so I guess the problem ain't overheating.
Weird thing is it crashes when I'm not doing much (listening to music on Itunes, browsing on chrome) ... I don't play much games, but it never crashed during one.

So yeah I know my graphic card is old ... could it be the reason?

Jan 8, 2014I mentioned not so long back that the chrome browser was closing after being opened and then getting a report that Chrome did not close properly! So after many weeks of this, I decided to return to firefox, in spite of the so called spyware.
Just now, I opened Firefox to do a Google search for somewhere, and - it shut down. When I reopened it, it opened on the page that had crashed. Google search.
So, it either not just chrome, or its a google thing?

Dec 7, 2013Google Chrome opens fine when I've just started it. If I close it accidentally or forgot something and have to reopen it after I close it, it will not open. It's almost as if it isn't closing properly but when I check task manager it does not show it running. I have to wait 20 - 30 min. to open it again. I've reinstalled and it still does this. Mar 3, 2014I just got a Dell with Win 8 and touchscreen. It was fine for a couple days. A half hour ago when I started it again I am unable to send email using yahoo mail in either of my browsers. I can check email fine and if I click the email in the inbox I can read it fine. When I click the onscreen right or left arrow to go to next or previous email nothing happens. When I click compose I go to the draft screen and all is well until I click Send. Nothing happens. I can send fine through my hotmail account. I can't get it to work clicking on any of the other folders in yahoo mail either.
So, is this a temporary issue with yahoo or something I need to figure out about Win 8? I've been in Mac land for the last 3 years or so. Also, the touchpad is way too sensitive. I turned palm rejection to the highest setting but it still jumps all over and does things I don't want it to do.

They are random, first you see that your browser doesn't respond anymore, but then neither does the PC.
You wait up to 3 minutes, and everything works out. But that's not really ideal.
So, in order to see what was wrong with my problem, I thought that I should get Mozilla Firefox.
But as I have seen, that does not change anything.

Then, Google Chrome all of a sudden started freezing up the entire system and required a restart. I tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it multiple times and every time the same thing happened. Every time I launched Chrome everything froze up. A month later I tried reinstalling it once again and the same thing happened. Dec 3, 2013I'm trying to set Chrome as my default browser and have it open in Desktop mode, but it always opens in Metro Mode if it's the default. I've tried the "Relaunch Chrome in the desktop" (lots of times), but it just beeps and stays in Metro mode. This used to work, but it suddenly changed a few weeks ago, and I simply can't work out how to get it back. I didn't change anything. (Windows or Chrome may have behind the scenes, but I didn't fiddle with any of the levers). Chrome just started launching in Metro mode one morning, and nothing I do will change that if it's the default.
The only way I can open Chrome in Desktop Mode is to set IE as the the default browser. And that is most definitely not what I want. I'm a web dev, and love the Chrome dev tools, so want it as the default.
To make things even more confusing, I've got 2 Win 8.1 machines side by side, and Chrome works exactly as I want on one of them, and not on the other. I've looked everywhere I can think of, and both systems are set up identically, from what I can see.

Jan 17, 2014I got a HP Envy m6 Sleekbook laptop about three months ago. I installed Firefox and Chrome right away, although I used Firefox almost exclusively.
After about a month, Firefox just stopped working. I would click the icon, and it would light up (and the blue circle would appear over the cursor) as if it was about to open, but after a few seconds it stopped loading and the icon went back to normal, as if I had never clicked it. It just kind of... gave up. I restarted the computer and tried opening it from a different shortcut, and then directly from the file, but the problem persisted.
I tried uninstalling and re-installing Firefox twice, but it didn't solve the issue. Finally, I abandoned Firefox and switched to using Chrome.
Now, after using Chrome without a hitch for almost two months, Chrome has spontaneously started exactly the same behavior- BUT now I can open Firefox.
I'd really like to keep using Chrome, since I finally had it set up the way I like (I have quite a few bookmarks and quirky little preferences).
