Debugging :: Lenovo K450 Constantly Crashes With Blue Screen When Playing Dota 2?
Dec 30, 2013
My new lenovo K450 constantly crashes with blue screen when playing Dota 2 but have done that also when surfing. Machine came with Windows 8.0 but I updated that for 8.1, all Windows updates have been done and Nvidia Gtx 650 driver has been updated for latest 331.82 driver.
Attached latest memory dump and summary for 5 BSOD's. Unfortunately I cannot attach zipped dump-files will continue trying...
I have a gaming laptop and use it for playing video games. Recently I get blue screen and crashes playing online games like dota 2. I ran many different stress tests and they were all OK. I guess there is something wrong with my mice or audio driver because most of the times I get bluescreen after someone uses his/her mice in the game.
I have an Asus laptop model X501A. A few months ago I had to get the hard drive replaced which Asus did themselves and ever since then I have been getting BSOD and low memory errors while playing Dota 2. My computer always ran the game fine before this. I can still run the game for the most part but I get the memory error every time. I can usually just close the error and continue playing, but it has gotten to the point where I blue screen multiple times a day during game. I have also heard that Windows 8.1 might be the reasoning behind this as well. I do not know much about computers and I am not sure whether I used the SF Diagnostic tool correctly, but I am attaching the zip file.
KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE, it happens while i try to play games on Steam and also while watching Youtube videos. Really, it happens a lot while i just do everyday task. I don't know what the problem is but I have the dump files. I did RAM test and I downloaded all drivers; everything is up to date.
When I turned on my Lenovo y410p today I got a blue screen saying:
Recovery
Your PC needs to be repaired
The Booth Configuration Data file is missing some required information.
File: BCD Error code: 0x000000d
You'll need to use the recovery tools on your installation media. If you don't have any installation media (like a disc or USB device), contact your system administrator or PC manufacturer.
The only option I have is: Press Esc for UEFI Firmware Settings
I have 64bit Windows 8. I have a Fat32 external hard drive I might be able to use to recover it - but what should I download? Also, can I try to do something in the UEFI settings to fix it?
My laptop is about 2 months old now and when ever I play games I usually get a BSOD crash within half to an hour every time. I personally have no clue how to fix these problems or read a dumb file correctly.
I have added an attachment with my latest crash logs
It only occurred first if and only if I was playing, so I thought it was a compatibility prob so I just quit. But when I played this game Dragon Nest it too BSOD's or just plain PC crash. So I thought ok I cant play these 2 games. BUT when it happened too in Dota2, I think that's too much of a coincidence. Now my PC just random crashes and I really dont know why.

Ever since I got my new pc, which was 3 months ago, I've been getting this message a lot, it occurs randomly, at one point I couldn't even install a pc game so I figured it was a memory problem thus I removed 2 of the memory chips (i have 4 8gb chip). after that the game installed perfectly but once in a while I still get this annoying frking message randomly, and it'll restart my pc... what am i suppose to do?

Here is the debug file after analyzing (C:WindowsMinidump-21513-7640-01.dmp)

I've having an issue that I think some ppl had, windows 8 crashing going to blue screen of death or blank black screen and then it restarts by itself, also I have noticed that it says repairing disk in D:/
I have one SSD 120gb in the C:/ which it host the operating system and some minnor programs, in a HDD which is my D:/ drive there I have my games.

So recently my computer was dealing with 'memory full' despite still telling me that there was space left. Anyways I deleted a lot of files in my downloads as well as other unimportant files {all files created by me for like school work, photoshop edits etc ....
Ever since then my computer has been constantly crashing whenever I attempt to right click in documents. I can right click on desktop and on the internet but the moment I try to access my documents and right click (I tried this in my computer etc, same thing) and it just crashes. I can still save documents and delete them (using highlight and then deleting them that way) but otherwise it crashes?
It also occasionally doesn't let me see that I have any documents, downloads and the such. I have windows 8 laptop from samsung.
Have I somehow accidentally deleted an important file that is causing it to crash? If so would there be a way to work out what one and restore it?
I have been getting this error "DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL(NETIO.SYS)" for a few days now. This happens when I use a torrent service like utorrent. How do I fix this?
I used MCPR tool for removing McAfee from my computer, I removed Norton Internet Security and now I only have Windows Defender, but I still get the error.
Recently I'm getting the blue screen on death 100% every time I boot up than it restarts and it doesn't give the screen. Also When the computer is on and I restart it doesn't give the screen Either.
I'm getting usually the message system thread exception not handled.
So recently I have been having issues where my laptop will randomly go to a blue screen and the error message "IRQL not Less or Equal..." Sometimes it will not show up until a half and hour, sometimes it starts in 15-20 min. It is just really random and it just restarts my computer inconveniently.
Anyways, I have Attached my SFC Scan from the program recommended... Also When i use SFC/Scannow on Command Prompt I am told " Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them. Detailes are included in the CBS.Log windirLogsCBSCBS.log. Fir example C:WindowsLogsCBSCBS.log. Note that logging is currently not supported in offline servicing scenarios.
Since Yesterday I've gotten the Window's 8 Blue screen saying the Error "MULTIPLE_IRP_COMPLETE REQUESTS" now i got this multiple times yesterday, even got the "BAD_POOL_HEADER" Searched around and found out this was probably a Driver Error and updated my Drivers. Only my Video Card needed an update and after Installing the latest driver and restarting my Computer everything seemed fixed. But today i got the same IRP Error again.
I have an Busted up USB port and thought that maybe the Driver was confused about it and made the error so i Deactivated the specific driver to that Port, But after getting the same IRP error and restarted the comp again i got the "IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL" error at startup
Now my I comp started normally and I'm waiting for the next Error so I don't know what do to. I found out that there's some error Logs (C:/windows/minidump) but I don't know a program that'll make them readable.
From time to time i get a bluescreen saying something about Kernal Security Check Failure . As i do not know that much of computers i tought I would ask here. (files are in the attachment).
I recently bought a Samsung EVO 840 120 gb SSD and did a clean install of Windows 8.1 Pro on it. Also formatted my other HDD's. And after that I started to experience at random times the complete freeze of windows and sometimes blue screen of death with "clock watchdog timeout" message. They usually happens when I unpacking an archive, during file copy, downloading big files, installing mods in nexus mod manager for skyrim or sometimes just in very random events. I noticed that usually when this happens hdd activity led on my pc case blinks continuously. When this freeze or BSOD happens I need to manually reset my computer.
(Also most of the archives I download from the internet I get crc errors for most when I try to unpack them, so I have redownload it again :/)

Nothing is overclocked. Everything has the latest drivers. Bios is updated to the latest.
I did CPU stress test got no errors. I did GPU stress test got no errors. I did RAM test got no errors.
I've recently purchased an MSI Dragon Edition. It started off the bat with top notch performance, no fps drops, no nothing, just pure perfection. Up until one day, it decided to completely crash on me, it got stuck on the loading BIOS screen and refused to redirect me to the log in page where i could access my desktop. After taking it to maintenance and formatting it from scratch, I've started noticing some subtle differences in comparison to the way it used to perform, performance drop, fps drop in game, slower powering on time, takes longer to shut down, not recognizing certain USB input such as my hard drive (not all the time).
About a week ago, while playing a game, my laptop crashed to the blue screen, with the error code displayed at the bottom telling me that the issue was "driver power state failure", after doing some research about the blue screen issue, people on other forums were discussing how the user should perform an SFD scan check from the CMD prompt.
After Scanning, my prompt informed me that I had multiple issues regarding my software files, "Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them."
From the Scan, there were in total 27 errors to report as shown below. I'm also currently fully, thoroughly scanning my laptop for any viruses using Avast! Antivirus, hoping it might resolve my issue.
Errors Found: 2014-05-03 05:57:37, Info CBS SQM: Failed to start upload with file pattern: C:WINDOWSservicingsqm*_std.sqm, flags: 0x2 [HRESULT = 0x80004005 - E_FAIL] 2014-05-03 05:57:37, Info CBS SQM: Failed to start standard sample upload. [HRESULT = 0x80004005 - E_FAIL]
It's been a while but I just got a blue screen and The only thing I've done was install movie maker and I read that might be the cause, it baffles be because that's about the only thing I've changed in the last month with no issues.
So I encountered this BSOD this afternoon out of nowhere. I was doing nothing at that time. Then I want to listen to music through my earpiece so I unplugged my USB headset first then plug in my 3.5mm combined jack earpiece. It hangs then blue screen appears. Bsod - dpc_watchdog_violation
After updating to Windows 8.1, my PC is unable to restart with the following message displayed:
1) Preparing automatic repair 2) Diagnosing your PC 3) Your PC did not start correctly
Here I am given 2 options: a) Restart b) Advanced Options.
Option (a) will keep me in the same loop. I have tried most of the options in (b) but nothing works out. The only extra clue I got is when I go to Startup Settings and select option 9)" Disable automatic restart after failure" from which an additional message was displayed:
error: INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE
I did not make any backup beforehand and now I'm hoping to restore to my previous setting without losing any files/data. Or it would be even better I could solve the problem without any restoration.
I cannot access to the Windows start-up anymore, not even in Safe Mode.
So I did a system restore last night to my windows 8 laptop, and when I woke up an opened desktop the screen started constantly turning purple and going back to the desktop.
