I've uploaded everything correctly. I've been having fairly regular problems while playing Skyrim, sometimes BSOD (with different error codes), sometimes freezing, and sometimes crashes that return me to the desktop.
The computer has been reasonably stable otherwise.
The computer would just freeze up and not go to blue screen, However, since upgrading to Windows 8.1 it has been giving me a blue screen and error message, what could be wrong. I am positive the errors over the years have all been by the same, as what causes them and what occurs after is always the same.
After booting up, if I decide to play a game, practically any that require 3-d graphics, the game will start to slow down and the audio will start to crackle. Then, the computer will freeze up. When I ran Windows Vista it just stayed frozen, but now during Windows 8.1 it goes to blue screen and shuts off. After rebooting, everything runs perfectible normally and I can run any game perfectly without slowdown or freezing. Then, after shutting down and rebooting another day the same problem will arise.
It's not necessarily the worst error, but I don't quite like leaving my computer in sleep mode as it still drains some power. From what I gathered for Blue Screen View, it seems to be a memory issue. The first error code I received when using Windows 8.1 was PFN list corrupt. That prompted me to test and reseat the ram. Windows Memory Diagnostic came out clean, but the error persists. The latest time I have had this problem, the error was Memory Management, 0x0000001a.
I have updated the BIOS to latest version and have overclocked my RAM, however, the problem existed before O.C.
I seem to get 1 BSOD each day I use my computer for more than an hour or two.

I have been told previously that the BSOD's i get have been graphics driver related. I have basically been going through every different driver I can find to hopefully find a combination where they do not conflict and crash.
I was thinking I should roll back to windows 8 from 8.1 but a quick look around and it seems these GT70's suffer from the blue screens on windows 8 too.
My computer Bluescreens very randomly without giving much information on what caused it.I can sometimes go a full day without a single bsod and somedays I get 10 within 30 mins. Only connection I've (maybe) figured out is that all these bsod's seem to happen when my comp is connected to internet and either downloading something or sending something. Like when I log into games and try to connect into a server i get bsod...or if I don't I can play that game for hours only to get the bsod when I quit game and return to desktop. Sometimes using chrome just to browse web or switching tracks on spotify can cause issues aswell.
My computer was first bought and build around 2012 with some upgrades such as more ram and new GPU. I've ran this comp with a stable OC of 4.0/4.0 and never before having any problems with either my system heating up or freezing. Now I've returned to stock clocks to rule out any unstable oc.
I'v done pretty much all i know about debugging and trying to figure out which programs/drivers/hardware are causing my system to be so randomly unstable. My head keeps telling me this is some driver related cause it started what seems to be "all of a sudden"
Things I've done:
Return stock OC
Ran memtest for 14 passes = 0 errors
Ran Prime for ~4 hours = 0 errors and temps maxed at 60 c
Been experiencing seemingly random BSOD's for the past few weeks, and completely unable to solve the problem myself. It happens from a minute or two after startup to after 3 or 4 hours or working, and sometimes doesn't crash on intensive apps like Furmark.
I'm running a Lenovo Y400 with the newest Nvidia drivers, and have attempted rolling back and uninstalling with DDU but no success.
I've been encountering random BSOD errors. I uninstalled a few games thinking they could be causing it but the errors have become more frequent since. I followed the instructions on the BSOD posting thread and attached is the information needed.

Since then, I've had multiple different BSOD errors while performing different tasks or even when doing nothing. Drivers seem to be updated and I'm concerned that this could be a hardware issue.

I am having trouble with system stability playing games. I suspect it's overclock related, but I've fiddled with so many settings and can't get it to stay stable. I have looked through the logs some, but I don't really understand what I'm looking at.
Is there somewhere else I can look for a guide to understanding the info that the SF Diagnostic Tool compiles?

Other things I've done:
-Stress test with AIDA-64 - no trouble, can run for hours and hours. Highest CPU temps under stress ~74C
-Run Memtest86+ for 10 passes - no errors
Run graphics benchmarking/ stress testing with no problems (Furmark, Unigine Valley/ Heaven)
Monitor temps on everything - CPU never goes above 75C in stress testing, mostly averages mid 60s during stress testing, low 30s at idle, and 50s gaming. GPU stays very cool, never surpassing 70C even in extended stress testing

The BSOD problem occurs usually after about an hour or so of gaming, sometimes less. I never get a BSOD with a message, just a stutter, then blue screen usually with a buzz coming through the speakers, then a forced restart. I can reproduce it if I run AIDA-64 and add in GPU stress test along with all the others or even if I run AIDA 64 with regular stress test and the run something like Unigine Heaven concurrently. Doing that usually produces the crash within several minutes. Event logs from the restarts always show error 0x124.
Another (unrelated I think) problem I recently had was with high latency producing audio stutter (usually with music, not noticed during gaming). I fixed this when I was going through all my drivers and updating. It seems like it was a problem with my NIC driver.
I get bsod while playing with fifa 14, and any other games. Recently changed win7 to win 8.1. On win7 also was the same error.

My laptop Acer Aspire 4752g has been crashing many times, I've updated my Intel HD 3000 and NVIDIA Geforce 630M Drivers so far nothing has changed. Crashes will happen after playing 20-30 mins when playing Napoleon Total War (Medium Settings using NVIDIA) and on Royal Revolt 2 (I'm not sure if it is using Integrated or nvidia) ,But sometimes i can play Royal Revolt 2 without crashing. I've received all the latest updates from Windows Update but still this is happening.
I've also tried changing the slot position of my Ram and still BSOD. I already cleaned the fan using canned air and re apply thermal grease(Deepcool Z9) with tutorials on youtube and other websites but still BSOD. Seems like a driver fault but i can't detect what cause it. I'm Using windows 8.1 x64bit before i have windows 7 but due to multiple bsod i decided to upgrade to 8.1, check this dump files ...
Recently I upgraded my pc,i changed everything but the graphic cart. So far so good. I did format and installed win 7 x32 bit first. All worked fine till i started playing games.Then while in games i would get bsod,tried 2-3 games all with the same result. So I started stress testing my hardware.furmark,occt,prime95,hds, all was good. I did format again and installed win 7 x64 now,the problem stayed.Third format i installed win 8,1 not on the ssd on the hdd just to test the problem remains. But now a window pops up that says "display driver stopped responding and has recovered" mostly, it even appeared while i was just browsing.Today after 3 days using win 8,1 i got my first bsod.
I have tried numerous drivers,and various other fixes i saw on the internet no luck.

While playing war thunder on steam my screen went black and i couldn't do anything. I restart my computer and play again it crashes. After one more time i look at my event viewer and find critical error event ID:41. I don't whether its the game or my pc.

At first , I just ignored it and took it as a normal error but for a few times it happened again. Only when im playing League of Legends. I used BlueScreenView and found out that it was a driver issue.
I found out that BSOD playing League of Legends Driver_IRQL_Less_than_equal had the same issue so im going to try out the solutions there.
I tried out the Intel Update Facility and it said that i have a new graphic driver to download but after the installation , a message pops out saying that my computer does not meet the requirements of the driver.
I've been having various bsod issues with varying degrees of severity while doing various tasks. This time a friend bought 'Age of Mythology' for me and within 15 minutes of playing it my computer blue screened. Ironically, this game is ancient and should run like it's nothing yet somehow it crashed in minutes and has framerate issues.

p.s.2 when i bought the laptop it had linux installed ( i think ) or it was ready for install . Could the problem come from there , and if yes what can i do about it . Im not so known with those things . Ive heard about a hidden memory which should be deleted (if there was linux before ) and its going to fix the problem , but i dont know what is that memory and where i can find it. Ive send the laptop on authorized repair service of Acer ( cuz my laptop is still in guaranty ) , and yes they didnt fix it .... 2 times ... the first time they gave me the laptop with new HD , second time they told me something about a "weak connection" that they "fixed". BUT my laptop is still here and i ahve BSOD randomly 2-3 tiems a day , and every game crashes after 10-30 mins after start . I built a computer recently. Since day one I get BSODs but the drivers, and Bug/Checks listed are never the same.I was thinking it couldn't be a single device or driver so I've:
Replaced the MOBO.
Repair Installed the OS.
Replaced the RAM.
It BSOD'd multiple times between each change.
The only things I've run are IE/FF and Ableton Live 9. Ableton is usually running during the BSOD but it was not the last time.
I have an issue with bsod that keeps happening when I play bf4 all the threads say to post here to get to know what program is issueing. 0n reading the dump file to know what program / driver is the issue.

I just purchased a new SSHD for my HP DV9830US laptop that was running Vista 64-bit. Purchased Windows 8.1 for a clean install on the new SSHD.
I noticed I would get random BSOD doing different tasks and what-not. Updated my BIOS and some other random drivers, and it seemed to fix the problem for the most part.
Then I installed Steam and Counterstrike, and while playing, the game will freeze and my system just does a hard reboot midgame after the freeze. The audio file that was last playing during the game does a repetitive laggy sound during the freeze.
I have used the SF_Debug_tool and attached the file.
Happens through the normal pc use.

I've attached the requested logs, as mentioned in the instructional posts relating to BSODs.
Some background to what happens:
- I open Hearthstone (through a Battle.net launcher)
- At random points in the game, I get a BSOD with either a BAD_POOL_HEADER or DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION
What I've done:
- Checked on the Sony VAIO Update Center for any updates
- Run a Windows Update to ensure I have the latest patches
- Checked the Intel Website for any updated drivers
Worth noting:
- The wireless card drivers are higher than the version stated through VAIOUpdate (I don't know how I managed to do this). However, when I run the VAIOUpdate to set this to the right version, it fails to install. Should I rollback to the version listed in VAIOUpdate?

View 8 Replies View RelatedI recently purchased a 2nd hand PC back in June and unfortunately have experienced about a dozen BSODs when playing games.
They seem to occur randomly. There has been times where I have been able to play games for hours without BSOD at all.
I thought it was an issue with my graphics card drivers so I updated them to the latest version (I believe AMD 14.2) but the Blue screens continued to happen. I restored the drivers back to default and that is what I am currently using.
Im having an issue, every time i play BF4 i get this BSOD, its somewhat annoying, and i have a Fresh install of Windows 8, and I have a R290X Graphics card and I have downloaded the appropriate drivers which are 14.4 ....
Happened again but this time the screen is all scrambled i have attached a new set of BSOD file ....
I built my first PC in summer 2013 and since then have had multiple BSOD which have sometimes been really close together and sometimes really far apart. What I mainly want to know is if it is hardware related or just related to me installing any of the 14.x Drivers from AMD
The one thing I have noticed. If I remember correctly it never BSOD during games I feel like its always when I'm watching a video online.
Ever since I purchased this PC with Windows 8 installed (haven't updated to 8.1) I've been getting multiple BSODs at random times, and the error messages seem to be different. I am attaching the file generated by SF diagnostic tool. I am not used to troubleshooting PCs.

Its got to the point where I can't really do anything even remotely "taxing" on my computer without an impending reboot. Playing more lightweight games such as Hearthstone or WoW are guaranteed crashes, as is listening to music in the web browser while doing anything else. Last night in a desperate attempt to correct the situation, I ran the Windows 8.1 refresh option. Unfortunately shortly after rebooting into the fresh install I had another BSOD and multiple more today. Ive run chkdsk on my harddrive, and ran memtests on my RAM, all came back clear. I went so far as to remove my graphics card in an attempt to isolate any potential hardware failure, but on the integrated graphics I received the same errors.
