Apps / Software :: How To Use Same Programme For Multiple Users

I have Norton 360 installed on my laptop. I've created a separate user account for my daughter on Win 8 but when she logs in I can't see Norton available on her profile.
I've had a look around the forums but can't see anything relating to this.

How do you change Windows 8 to startup with the list of users on the computer rather than the user who logged in last? I know you can hit the back button but it's just annoying adding unnecessary steps to logging in. How to change this?

After it was removed from 8 . I managed to get it back into the Library but seems impossible for This PC.
It's a good, safe way to share files between multiple users on a PC .

It is possible update for all users the Windows Store apps with a local account belonging to the Administrators group? Then, I believe that the management of updating of the Windows Store apps can also be managed only by administrators. Right? If so, how do I do this?

I have Office 2010 installed and I just added another user to my computer. Most of my installed programs are available to the other user but for some reason Office hasn't carried over. It's for my daughter and I want her to have access to Word for homework, etc. Any way that I can share office with her user profile?

I just got Windows 8, and there are some programs that I want exclusively on my account. We have two accounts set up so far, and I just don't want to clutter up the other user's desktop with my stuff. Is there a way to assign a program to certain users?

What we are supposed to use in replacement of Public/AppData? I have configured one Outlook 2013 IMAP profile which will be shared (1 mailbox) for all users that logon to this specific machine. In other words, if somebody logs on to the machine and launches outlook, it will launch access to this specific IMAP mailbox that I have pre-configured.

So I downloaded the leaked Windows Blue... I bought the Windows 8 upgrade for my main desktop pc, this is just for experimenting on a junky old laptop. Basically I want to check out Blue without having to wait so long.
One of the main things I was looking forward to in Blue was the multiple app snapping as shown below. I can't seem to get it to work though no matter what I do.

Possible to open multiple instances of the desktop app or if there are any third party applications which could add such functionality. I would like to use the built in side by side app feature but for programs running in the desktop so I can have something like notepad++ or visual studio open on the left side of the screen and have a steam or twitch chat open on the right so I can free up my second monitor for full screen viewing of videos/games/websites. I know I can do this by resizing the windows manually but it is very clunky and harder to manage when I want to close a program or open new applications.

I built a computer recently. Since day one I get BSODs but the drivers, and Bug/Checks listed are never the same.I was thinking it couldn't be a single device or driver so I've:
Replaced the MOBO.
Repair Installed the OS.
Replaced the RAM.
It BSOD'd multiple times between each change.
The only things I've run are IE/FF and Ableton Live 9. Ableton is usually running during the BSOD but it was not the last time.

I have a few Temp logons recently, and then had to copy my profile over to a new user account. Creation of the new user account seems to have gone pretty well, once I signed into my Microsoft account, everything associated with it is as it should be.
However, there a few of the older "Users" listed under This PC, which are not shown at the manage accounts page. Is there a simple way to delete the old accounts that are not in use. Deleting hem from file explorer did not work.
This PC: I'd like to delete "ADMIN 2" and "Andrew"

Have my account and my wife's at home computer. Home build, excellent hardware, all updated and tuned in (as far as I can tell). Lately, when switching between accounts have been experiencing a 20 to 30 second lag before any response from any program. Example, I log in to my account, I click on email......it is a wait before response. In fact, if I click again before I get a response two instances of mail, or two browsers or any program comes up. It has not always been like this and, occasionally, it syncs in all programs as soon I log on.

I really like the onedrive PC feature from Microsoft. It allows to upload my work files seamlessly. But I do not want other PC users (different user accounts on the same computer) to access that folder. I know they might not be able to view the files but I also don't want them to see the content inside the folder.
Can it be done with the same old 'folder permission' settings? If yes, how to do that?

When we access these one users text is too small to read but it can be enlarged each time it is accessed, the other users sc reen is too large and it cannot be made smaller. I want both users to have normal sized text and I want it to be fixed soi that it will not change.

So during setup of my laptop I created a few different accounts and then deleted some, so I now only have the one account left. Below is a picture of the folders I mean. The "joey_000" is the actual one for my account, the other 2 have nothing in them.
I made the other 2 accounts trying to change the name of the folder from "joey_000" to just my name, but it couldnt be done so I just left it. The other two folders are there and when I try to delete them, that error message comes up. I just want to be rid of them because the accounts to which they are linked have been deleted and they serve no purpose and are annoying.

I read somewhere, I don't remember where exactly, that it was possible to move the "Users" folder from the main drive SSD to a secondary drive HDD. The SSD would only be used for programs and the OS files, while the "Users" folder will be located the HDD and save some space in my SSD. If I can recall, the process went something like this:
1. Install the operating system, normal, with only 1 User, which automatically has Admin rights.
2. After login in, we would tweak with the Registry and some other places... (This part is what I dont remember)
3. After the system is set with all the changes, we would create a User with Admin rights.
4. We log off and sign in with the new user we created. A new "Users" folder is created in the HDD along with all the new user files, i.e, Documents, Pictures, Movies, AppData, etc.
5. The user that was created upon Installation of the OS is deleted along with the "Users" folder located in the SSD.
I need to know the complete process to avoid crashes and system damages. I will be installing Windows 8.1 Pro x64. There is a website that says that we should NOT move the Users folder published October 2013, while there is another website that explains the process only that this is dated March 2012 before Win 8.1.
Would this affect updates, Win App installations by other users?

New at this site and with windows 8.1, quite a change from XP. I am setting up a alienate PC and I would like to copy the start page (metro) that I have set to an additional user, I did copy my appsfolder.itemdata-ms to C:usermicrosoft....appsfolder.itemdata-ms but I still do not get the same layout or apps as mine. What I am trying is to have the same layout and apps for all users without having to re-arrange each user start screen.

I recently had both the guest and the built-in "Administrator" account enabled, but just today I decided to turn them off. Now there are two folders in C:Users (Guest and Administrator), and I was wondering if I can delete them. I probably will use neither ever again, but I do not want to mess up anything. I just wanted to get rid of some space.

Is it may orientates how to add permissions for users who log on using the server?
In Windows 7, they were more stricter for example when user want install programs.
Is there a program that such causes can block the installation of programs, or hide the drives on your computer? It can be installed on a server or locally - with indifference.
I heard something about a Microsoft program, which was in the name of "policy", but unfortunately I can not find it.
Another matter. How a computer (model) duplicate to the other 20? For a backup? By the server? I mean, I do not have to install the 19 remaining, but install programs, just as soon as cloned together with all the settings.

I'm using Win 8 with Win 7 Interface.
So basically the problem is that the computer is running on win 8 and the folder 'Users' located in C: was copied to disk D: and then deleted from disk C:.
Results?
Now when I go to 'start' there are no 'my music' 'my documents' etc, instead of that it shows '<No Text>' and doesn't open up. (Although when I scroll over the "<No Text>" (there are 3 different ones) I can see bars popping up 'Access letters and etc documents', 'View and organize pictures', 'Play music and other audio files'.)
I tried system restore 3 times to 3 different earlier restore points - nothing happened. How to fix this without having to reinstall OS?

I was a Windows 7 user and yesterday I installed Win 8.1 Pro, which I purchased almost a month ago, just didn't have the time to install (it was better that I didn't have any time) and since then I can't figure out lot of things, one of which is really disgusting. See that my mom and I use the same laptop, she uses it on morning and I at night.
And thus I created two user accounts, for example mine is A and my mom's is B. Now when I turn on the lappy it goes straight into my account, without even asking to which I want login! Where on Windows 7 after the welcome screen always there was an option of two accounts, but story has changed. So what should I do to get it back like it was on Seven? I just want each time I reboot the machine there must be an option of both accounts, and I will choose where I wanna login.
Both accounts of my mom and mine are set as admin.

It is astounding to me that Microsoft would not allow users to delete a user picture, if the user didn't want one at the logon screen.
What possible reason is there to disallow deleting the picture. I know you can create a blank jpg, use a different picture, but why not just eliminate the user picture. A choice to get rid of that bad decision some of us make in testing and trying things is just too puzzling to let go.
Windows, do us a favor and listen.
