Mar 6, 2014My contacts are in apps. windows 8 and in outlook 2013. I wish to use them on the computer of my friend working with windows vista. I can export my contacts in .pst folder or in common separated values but I don't know how to open and/or use the folder with the contacts in windows vista.

Aug 3, 2014I'm using Outlook as my mail program on Windows 8.1. I also am starting to use Photoshop Elements 12. In Elements I see a method to make a PDF of photos and email them to contacts.
Is there a way to export the Windows 8.1 Outlook contacts to the Contact list in Elements 12 ? or failing that is there a way to print the contacts so I have a hardcopy reference from which to enter the info into Elements ?

Jan 23, 2014I am so confused about where outlook 2013 keeps things.
I have installed Outlook 2013 and would like to import my contacts from my outlook 2007 in another computer. I have already prepared the contacts.pst file from outlook 2007 and made it available in my public folders. I then imported the .pst file into Outlook 2013 via network. However the contacts shows up as a separate contact list rather than integrated into the outlook 2013 address book . How to correct it?
I must have got the process wrong.

I have just bought a SP 128Gb and installed Outlook 2013 on the one month free trial. So, far I like it.
I took it in to work today and the IT guys set it up for connectivity to the Corporate WiFi, VPN, etc. How can I copy my contacts info from my home pc into my Pro?
Syncing Outlook Contacts With Phone
May 9, 2014I had to remove all of my contacts from my phone (reason is too long to explain) and now want to sync my contacts from Outlook to the phone via Outlook.com EAS. My concern is that when I start the sync process, the phone will send the empty contact list to Outlook, thereby wiping out all of my contacts. is there a way to ensure that the sync goes from Outlook to the phone only, and not the other way around?

I tried with built in Windows 8 messaging application connected and disconected but same result. If I connect to other account with live Messenger 2012 all works ok, but with the account that is configured like Windows 8 logging account, don't, it connects but all contacts shown offline.

Skype and Messenger are together now. It's ok. But my Messenger contacts are on Skype AND on the app Messages. And when one of them send me a message I receive it on both Skype and Messages apps.
How can I change this ? Can I juste disable Messages app ?

Nov 10, 2012I did a clean install of Windows 8. Of course, before doing the clean install, I backed up all of my data including the "Contacts" folder under my user name. The clean install progressed as expected (I've done clean installs many times previously). When I copied my information back, I also copied the contents of the Contacts folder back.
Now I want to import my contacts into the new People App. I have a live ID and everything seems to be working fine, except I cannot get my contacts imported. I've gone to the contacts folder and exported the contacts as a CSV file (there are only two export options, CSV and vCard). When I go to the People App and try to "import from a file", I get an error message saying my CSV file is NOT a CSV file. Just to make sure I tried all my options, I went back and tried exporting as a vCard file and when I try to import I get an error message saying there is an internal error.
I've searched the net and, from what I can find, I seem to be doing the right thing using a CSV file, but am not getting the end result.

I have removed contacts from Skype, and they are gone from Skype. However, when I try and remove said same contact from the Windows 8 People App......there is no option to remove/delete.
Am I stuck with these contacts?

Sep 15, 2014I used to have a Windows phone and attached my Facebook account to the Windows phone on my Microsoft Live account. I have since gotten rid of my Windows phone but then afterwards I permanently deleted my Facebook account. I bought a new pc with Windows 8.1 and logged in with my Microsoft Live account and saw that it kept all of my old contacts from Facebook and there is no way to delete them since I no longer have a Facebook account to delete them.
Is there a way to delete contacts that are associated with Facebook if I no longer have a Facebook account? I have an Xbox Live account associated with my Microsoft Live account so I do not want to delete my Microsoft Live account. Is there any way to delete my contacts without having to delete my Microsoft Live account?

My question is how can I insert these addresses from outlook automatically WHILE SHOWING THE COMPANY NAME. I know there is a address book/insert address feature in word. I can use that just fine however, it lacks the capability to show the company name from outlook at the same time when you insert it.

Mar 29, 2014I recently had to update a second computer's emails from another computer, both having Windows 8.1 and Office Professional--or sync them. So I exported all three .pst accounts in Outlook 2010 from computer 1 and imported all of them into computer 2 into Outlook 2010. Well, I didn't notice that there was a Duplicate setting (probably because I don't normally do this) and left the Import setting concerning duplicates at the default setting, so I got a lot of duplicates. Since then, I have received more emails into my accounts at computer 2. What is the best way to fix the duplicate issue?
Also, I noticed that many Sent folders were missing in one Imported account for some reason. Why would just some of the emails be Imported and not others? This is bad! If it wasn't for this, I could send an important email today. How can I make sure that all of the emails on computer 1 get Imported onto Computer 2? All too often, I find glitches in MS software.
