5 days ago I had to have a new hard drive installed. Out of curiosity (not the real reason but that's another subject), I looked at "all programs". I see 2 Internet Explorers listed. First one says "IE-64 bit", one right below it just says "IE." However, when I click on the gear thingy that has "About Internet Explorer", each of the 2 says "64-bit".
My mousepointer blinking and shows green spinning circle, this happens when I move mousepoint over desktop or task bar. I opened Task Manager and noticed hundreds explorer.exe processes are running, however only one Windows Explorer icon is displayed in the Task Bar.I guess that some program is always trying to start another instance of Windows Explorer. How can I trace it? How can I find a program (or a service, event, etc) which causing clogging of my computer?
I will try to be as descriptive as possible. I currently have GoWifi to access my internet (my room mate has it to)But for the past 4 days my computer has been running horribly slow. I can't use a enthernet cable becuase "Gowifi" is only wireless. I use google chrome most of the time, but the internet is slow on chrome and explorer. I have tried the "ipconfig /release then ipconfig /renew" method. I have also tried to Reset WINSOCK, Reset IPv4, Reset IPv6, and then restarted my computer but still did not do the trick. I have tried various things from forums on other sites and this site but it still is not doing the trick. Is there Anything you guys could tell me that could fix my problem? And i do have a windows 7 computer.
anyway, after charging it up and turning it on, i started to install programmes and other bits and bobs. e.g ituens, flash player. just the usual essentials. i used the laptop to watch videos on Internet, genenral browing such as facebook, so in short, the internet was working fine. just before i went to bed that night i installed avg security (free version) and ran a full scan. when the scan finished, i put the laptop into hibernate, and went to sleep! happy in the knowledge my new gizmo was running smoothly!
just before i woke up i heard the laptop turn off as it had run out of charge. so i plugged it in and charged it up, then turned it on. this is where the problem starts...i connected via wifi however the logo at the bottom right of the screen showed the signal strength meter on empty, with a yellow star covering it. i clicked the icon, and it said, 'not connected, connections are available' and below shows im connected with 5/5 signal strength, but on 'limited access'.
1) there might be a problem with the driver for the local area connection adapter
2)there might be a problem with the driver for the wireless network connection adapter
there are 28 updates, but im unable to update them as i have no internet connection. i also cant connect via the ethernet cable.i cant roll back the drivers as there are no previously installed ones, and i cant update them as i am already up to date.my other laptop (acer aspire 5630 running on vista) works perfectly fine using wifi and the ethernet cable, so i honestly dont know whats wrong. after reading things on my acer about ways to fix the problem i came to the decision to restore the laptop to the time of my first installation which was adobe flash player (which i installed the day before.) i was unable to do a full factory reset as the only options available are to either restore to a backup, or re-install windows (which requires a disc, which i dont have). i also didnt configure a backup as i had only had the laptop a day!
I can no longer upload files to the internet. When I try to Internet Explorer 9 crashes and restarts. The same thing happens when I right click on a picture on the internet and try to save it to my computer. The only changes to my computer was I upgraded the Norton Anti Virus software. I've reinstalled IE9 and same thing. I tried reinstalling Norton and same thing.
I am trying to share my internet connection thru my laptop wit my ps3 but iyz not working for some reason.when I search for a network wit my game it finds the ip address but no internet connection.
I have a Dell Inspiron N5110, Intel core 3 processor, and Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit os. I have recently reinstalled windows 7 from the windows 8 os. I can't access my wireless internet, I can only get to the internet via hard wire. I have searched Dell and Intel for the network controller driver and the sm bus controller driver, but to no avail.
internet connection sharing: No internet access!?I am trying to setup internet connection sharing between my laptop (Connected to WiFi) and my pc which has no wireless connection. I've spent a day or two troubleshooting problems such as 'LAN' doesn't have valid configuration and such, i found a solution and I've got the two connections to be able to see each other, but i can't get an internet connection to go through.I have my ipconfig /all for both computers available: (Both have had excess trimmed off to save on character limit)[CODE]
I have been having problems with my new computer running Win7 Ultimate and have had to do an upgrade install. Now IE8 and Incredimail are unable to connect to the internet although Norton, Windows, System Mechanic, etc.,can all download updates
Am using dell inspiron laptop with windows 7 home premium 64 bit , i have a free wifi in our collage when i give connect it was getting connected but there is no internet access i had tried with trouble shoot it was giving problem regarding DNS
A few days ago the public wireless internet i used worked fine and i had no problems with my computer. Now when i try to connect to it, it isn't allowing me access. It works just fine on my sisters laptop that is the same model and brand as mine.

For some reason my hp notebook will not connect to the internet, its just stopped working recently and I cant seem to find the problem. It says I have signal to my router. When I open the browser it says I am not connected, if I try and run the connection wizard/ diagnosis it says an error occured while troubleshooting an unexpected error has occurred, the troubleshooting wizard can't continue.
Several topics are out there, but I didn't manage to find any solution, so I'll ask againI noticed this because I couldn't connect battlefield bad company 2 to the ea servers (to sign in).now, no need to panic I thought, things like that happen, but it has been going on for a week, so I started to investigate. While trying some EA domains I found that Support Home Page wouldn't load up on my windows 7 64bit (sp1).now this site does load up on my dual-booted linux... as well as on any other pc in my network. In fact, I even tried my mobile network on windows 7 but it simply wont load!So I went trough this list of things I tried out:Removing ESET internet security (nod32) using the special uninstall tool Turning off windows firewall Resetting windows firewall to defaults flushing dns cache reset host file renew LAN connection reset tcp/ip stack microsoft fix it firewall repair tool Several network solution finders in windows Direct connection to my modem Restore windows to earliest point I could find now I dunno... but that seems to sum up all possible fixes I'm aware of.(just a month old), and apart from this thing it runs fine.
Windows tool: "Source (customersupport.ea.com) is online, but doesn't respond to connection attempts".Well windows is right about that...I can resolve (nslookup) the address from cmd, I can even ping it successfully! For now I installed a squid proxy server on my linux router to connect to every website, but that still doesn't fix my game.More-over, WHAT could this be? because I'm completely in the dark here
This is a problem that has probably been solved but I have spent some time looking for the solution without success.
Windows 7 (6.1.7100 build 7100) indicates that I have no Internet connection in spite of the fact that I can browse without any problems (see attached image).
Mostly this is not a problem except that I want to connect to an external server to upload files. Normally I use map network drive for this. When I attempt this, I fail because it doesn't see the Internet connection.
I have tried the following solutions which haven't worked Disabling link scanning in AVG Disabling all other network connections
I was installing a software on my other laptop (it had SQL software with it) and I ran into some trouble as I got error problems that the installation of the software had failed and now whatever I do, I can't access the web! Sure enough, my wireless connection connects successfully and it indicates that I am on the "Internet" but every time I try to use either firefox or internet explorer to go to a web site, it says I don't have a connection.
I am running a modem and wireless router which is working fine. I have my home computer up and running (Windows 7)- no problems at all. However, my work laptop (windows 7 professional) will connect to my wireless network but will not 'access' the internet. I have set up a connection from scratch; changed the network settings; restarted (everything) plugged in wth Ethernet cord; run a router check... and honestly I am way out of my league in figuring this one out.I tried several of the solutions for forum threads around the problem of 'connected to internet but no internet access', but part of my confusion is that one computer works fine, but the other simply won't allow access. When I use a when I use an open network it won't allow me on at all. But when I set up my private network it will connect and show internet access for 10 SECONDS at a time and then No access... like a constant flicker...
[code] I never had this issue on Windows Vista, occasionally my internet will randomly dropout. Limited Internet Access". When it does I can do a few things to get it working again:
- Disable, then enable my wireless card and reconnect. - Uninstall the card, then re-install and reconnect. - Disconnect from the internet myself and reconnect.
Either way it gets super frustrating. There is 1 other computer plugged directly into the router that does not experience any issues. In addition, I have 1 laptop (windows 7) that works great and 1 laptop (Windows XP) which works great.

Sure enough, my wireless connection connects successfully and it indicates that I am on the "Internet" but every time I try to use either firefox or internet explorer to go to a web site, it says I don't have a connection. I have a Dell Laptop and use a MiFi internet connection. For some reason I can't connect to the internet since last night. I see that it says my IPV4 and IPV6 connections have "no Internet and Network access".
After reinstalling Windows 7 my internet connection stopped working. I am using an abit AirPace Wi-Fi Adapter - it worked before the reinstalling and such. I have installed the driver and I can see it under the Hardware-thingy. However, it has a yellow warning sign next to it - a code 52? I have a feeling that if I fix that my internet will work again
When my computer says Internet Access, I am having trouble browsing. Most pages do not load.Right now, It says no internet access for over 15 minutes and I am able to brose so much better and still going on downloading around 400 kb/s.(I am on a wired connection from a cable internet with NetGear CGD24G Cable Modem (I don't think it is a wireless router). There is wireless connection on the modem, but I am on a wired connection, and I am posting this while it still says no internet access).
i'm trying to connect 2 laptops via ad hoc so that i could share the internet the server computer is a xp sp 2, the client is the default 7 starter of my laptop.the ad hoc seems to be fine, and i can share files between them, but win 7 can not access the internet and says "no internet access"
Windows 7, 64 bit. Connected through router. Internet works fine. There are downloads and updates going on, no problem. The moment I start browsing, everything goes down and there's no browsing or downloading or any activity. It remains this way for a few minutes then comes back up. It keeps happening over and over again.
i just installed windows seven and have tried to get the internet tv option to install in media center to no avail.I tried to force update media center 4-5 time now. I left it on for two days. restarted the setup 4 times. still nothing. It doesnt show up under tv like its supposed to once you open and go through the set up. I have a laptop (windows 7) connected wirelessly to the internet. I have a pc (vista) without a wireless card so I want to connect it via a wire to the laptop to get internet. I have done this but I cannot figure out how to get the internet.
