Since upgrading to Windows 7 I'm encountering a problem with my Dell 1525's built in webcam. I installed the old Vista drivers and the Webcam Manager, using those I can record video, take pictures, etc just as I could in XP.
However in XP I was able to use the microphone built into the webcam only to record audio from the webcam using Total Recorder. I've looked & looked and can find no way to make this work in Windows 7. Anyone have any ideas?
I have a webcam creative live VF-0050! But I can't find drivers for windows 7! I found for vista, but they are no good. I don't have access to properties, so I can't move the bars with contrast etc. I see in creative's site but they say, that no support my cam anymore. I bye another cam .. I pay for this 75€ but I don't like! This cam have a yellow color and ugly shadows.
I have just upgraded my Dell Inspiron 1545 from Vista 32 bit to Windows 7 32 bit home premium. However there is no driver for the built in Creative webcam and it no no longer is seen or works. There is no driver on dell support under windows 7 drivers and there is only a vista driver which does not work when installed on windows 7. Can any one help me to find a suitable driver that works.

How can I install an old webcam, Creative WebCam Pro PD1030 to my windows 7 operating laptop? No install disc. Is there a driver to connect this Cam to a windows 7 system?
This driver is working on windows 7 x64 beta version
When you plug the camera into the USB port, open the Device manager and find the "Unknown Device". Then click "Update" and finally point to the directory where you have previously extracted the file in the attatchment.
The sound card I am using is a SupremeFX-X-Fi that came with the Asus MB. I am running a dual boot system with Xp Pro SP3 and Windows 7.As per Ulrich's on the Asus forum I d/l'd the 64 bit sound driver set for the Rampage Extreme MB. I unzipped them and used the "AsusSetup" icon to install. After the installer ran it wanted a reboot so I did that. Then I got another message asking if I want to run (x86)analog devicescoresmax4pnp.exe to which I agreed. Nothing happened and there was no reboot required. Then using the MB CD I installed all the Creative Stuff. NOW I have the "SoundMax Integrated Digital Audio Volume Panel" in my tooltray as I do in XP but it doesn't do anything.
When I choose MIXER I get " No Supported audio device App will close"When I choose Karaoke Player "Audio device for this app not detected."When I choose Console Launcher " No supported audio device available close app."When I choose Audio Console " Device supported by this app not detected close app."So in effect, I am no further along than I was with the default Windows 7 driver settings.I don't know why I had to register the SoundMax card or software if it won't function!I even tried a re-install of the drivers themselves after I had all the Creative stuff installed and that did no good. I am back to square one with it all <sigh>What to do now? The SoundMax HD soundcard shows up in Device Manager so it clearly knows it's there and yes I have sound but only at the most basic level. I need control of the bass and treble at the very least.
I have this carte Creative SB X-Fi Platinum Fatal1ty Champion
Since from the site of Creative, it has only driver available for windows 7 x64, so i installed the driver. It works great, then the console can work too, but he can't starting automatically when windows boots. - i have to start the console by my-self and he can't be in tray bar (notification area) either.
Then the second thing is ... the remote doesn't work.
PS: I have used the update tool from Creative and all seem that all driver or soft is updated.
Anybody has a solution to make the remote works again in windows 7 ?
I Installed windows 7 in my computer but My creative sound blaster not work properly only frond left & Right speaker are now working ,Center & Rear left ,Rear right speakers are not working ,(I installed this software SB51_WDRV1_LB_SB0680 Creative Technology Ltd Sound Card Win XP Home, Win XP Pro Version 1,0.0.1 FCCID: N10225) this is not working.
The other day i had a friend delete some programs from my Asus laptop on startup and running processes to make my computer boot up faster. I think we did something that makes the fn key not work anymore. how to restore this functionality?
I have bought a HP 6730b notebook (type: HP KU216ET), it has got built-in luetooth. I have installed 32bit Windows 7, but the bluetooth doesn't work. I cannot find any driver to make that working good.. HP Compaq 6730b Notebook PC*-* Download drivers and software - HP Business Support Center - here is a driver for XP, but when I install, it said that I have to turn on Bluetooth... I don't know what to do.I don't know what's the type of the built-in Bluetooth, maybe broadcom, I tried this driver: Broadcom.com - Bluetooth Software Download
Recently, I did a clean install of Windows 7 Home Premium on my MSI GE600. At first, the touchpad behaved the way it should. But now, it is not even detected. I rebooted the laptop and it worked again. Most of the time it doesnt work though.
I have installed the Elantech driver of the MSI site
Basically, I bought a new USB stick and plugged it in. My computer would search for windows updates, but it would never find the ones required, and the USB wouldn't install. When I unplug the USB and plug it back in again, the computer doesn't even recognize it, and nothing happens. Currently, my computer is not updated, so that's one thing I won't try. I've installed windows 7 updates numerous times in the past, and every time I did, my computer would have problems starting up (i.e. my desktop would be a black screen when it starts and I can't do anything, or the place where I enter my password to log in doesn't load at all).
So after installing win 7 ultimate x64, 5.1 surround stopped working and now i can only use my 2 front speakers + sub. In test all speakers don't work aswell.
I'm unable to play games requiring DirectX 11, even though I've downloaded it perhaps half a dozen times. Having stumped myself I decided I may as well ask here. The only feedback I've received from things not working is Civilization V says "Requires Service Pack 2 or greater" As far as I know DirectX doesn't update in the Service pack format, and that Windows 7 SP2 doesn't exist yet, and shouldn't be needed for a game of early 2010 as-is. I have an ASUS U56E, with the on-board i5 graphics(I thought it might be that, but my brother's i3 runs said DirectX fine, so maybe mine is damaged) and I, quite frankly, do not want to run it back into Best Buy and hope that it's covered by warranty.
i have already replaced drivers. tried some stuff in the registry and have no access to my dvd/rw drive i have windows 7 internet explorer 8.0 and dell studio 1458. already ran chkdsk
