View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a HP Probook 6550B laptop that when it starts up it prompts you to login in. I do not remember my password or the security questions. It does ask for the Bios admin password but I have no idea what that is. I have tried to remove the laptop battery, and the small watch like battery under the keyboard for (30 Minutes), removed the havedrive, and still the same problem. When I remove the battery and only plug in just the power cord it does tell me that the BIOS is invalid, but when it reboots it goes back to defaults and goes back to the user password screen.I cannot get to the BIOS setup windows, change the boot device order, nothing.

I want to enable bluetooth on the laptop, but the Device Manager says it is disabled in the BIOS and to activate it with F10 on boot.. the problem is it asks for a BIOS password and I keep guessing and cant figure out what it is! Is there a simple way to reset the BIOS password or crack it? I took out the CMOS battery and waited 10 minutes, but that didnt do anything.

The HDD password was set by mistake in the Insydeh20 BIOS and i don't know what it is. The computer is a Toshiba Satellite laptop. This is a REGISTERED password on the HDD that was set using the BIOS.

I believe this is created at the factory and unplugging the bios battery no longer does the trick! I tried many different passwords combos and found that:<dell> all lowercase and minus the brackets works for a few of the newer Dell Laptops
