Jan 13, 2013For use by BACK UP, is it possible to span two 2T HDs in a Thermaltake BlacX Duet Dock?Can Win 7 32 bit Back Up address them as one volume?

Blacx Docking Station Esata Drivers
Jan 21, 2010new install of win7 64bit, and updates current.
have added esata port via sata port on mob; but can't locate it in device manager.
because of this, I assume that is why I can't get the eSATA cable from blacx docking station to work.
The USB cable works fine.
driver issue is only my best guess...help appreciated,and I am hoping it is simple fix.
Background Won't Span Across Dual Monitors?
Jan 15, 2011I have two 4:3 monitors side by side. Both of them are set to 1280x1024. My desktop is extended across both.I downloaded a 2560x1024 image and set it as my background. Iwent into personalization/etc. and set it to 'Tile' as Google results repeatedly said I should.No matter what I do, tiling just makes four images appear, two on each screen.

Aug 2, 2009Not too long ago I was interested in spanning desktop across multiple monitors. I was looking at the "Radeon HD 3650" with two DVI ports. I had read somewhere for dual support to look for the two DVI ports. I decided to wait for the dual support and went with the "Sapphire Radeon 4350 HD HDMI" card with 512MB memory. I was under the impression this card would not span across monitors because there was not two DVI ports or two VGA ports. This card has 1DVI, 1VGA, 1HDMI.
Today I was looking for a key combination for something else. When I tried the "Windows logo + P" there was a selection box. My options was Desktop only, Duplicate, Span, or Projector mode. This was a shock because of the impression I was under with this card. I have now spanned my desktop across 1DVI and 1VGA monitor.
The only question I have now is if there is a difference in "Dual Mode" and "Spanning Desktop across Monitor's". The Radeon box I have says to enable Dual Mode. I must have a second "Radeon HD 4350 series card" with CrossfireX and a supporting motherboard. I was in the market for Dual Mode because I thought this was needed to support spanning desktop.
Windows 7 Horizontal Span With Dual Monitors?
Mar 4, 2012I'm trying to find a third party program that will allow me to expand one display on two monitors. I have a nvidia card, unfortunately nvidia and win7 refuse to create a program that will allow me to put one picture on two screens to get a big picture. They have it in XP but nothing for 7. I have the lasted nvidia driver for win 7 but the software is sadly lacking. I can't believe they don't have a program like in XP. They seem to think people only want separate displays on the two screens... why they think that is beyond me.
Anyone here know where I can get a program that will give me one display in two monitors.
Can't Get Dual Monitor Wallpaper To Span Both Monitors
Jan 7, 2010I don't know if I'm doing something wrong, but I have a wallpaper that is 3200x1200 resolution, and my two monitors are 1600x1200 each. The wallpaper will only mirror on both screens instead of half being on one screen and half being on the other... How can I get this to work properly?

Jun 5, 2012removed the drive from the enclosure and got a SATA>USB dock thing for it. it didn't appear in the Computer with my internal drives but was visible in diskmgmt as "Healthy (Active, Recovery Partition)" but with the File System column empty and no letter assigned. right click only offers a menu with "Help" on it. used diskpart to assign a letter and it now appears in Computer but says all its capacity (except ~250mb) is free and, when I open it, there are no files to see, only a folder "Recovery", which is empty. in diskmgmt it still has no letter assigned. used a program called Recuva and it shows me some small files but nothing I recognise.

Oct 13, 2012Background: I have a WinXP desktop machine with a hard drive that may have a virus/trojan/rootkit/etc. Normal scans on the WinXP machine with MSE or ThreatFire have not discovered the problem. But the best way to scan a drive is to remove it and treat it as a purely 'dummy' data drive plugged into a usb drive dock and run the scan from a clean machine. This way any infected programs and/or O.S. on the drive will have no control to mask or hide themselves. My other computer is an HP Windows 7 laptop. So I removed the hard drive from the WinXP machine and via the USB drive dock and the Windows 7 laptop saw the WinXP drive icon appear.
