View 8 RepliesI built my computer about 18 months ago. The specs are listed below. Recently, I was unable to boot the computer. I have removed and reseated all the components using different SATA ports for the SSD, HDD storage and CD ROM drives. So I'm not sure which component is causing the problem. I suspect it is the SSD because the mobo detects both the HDD storage drive and the CD ROM regardless of which port they are connected to, including the one the SSD was on. I have already RMA'ed the SSD and am waiting for the replacement. When the replacement comes and if the mobo doesn't detect the new SSD I will then assume it's the mobo and replace that.

There are drivers for Vista 64, however 7 won't take them and the monitor I have is not listed when I try to choose it from the list. I tried similar models but still the monitor will only do 85hz at the highest even in low resolutions.
This monitor can do 160hz in 800x600, 120hz in 1024x768 and 100hz in 1280x960, 90hz in 1280x1024 I believe.
I tried using a custom driver that I made in Rivatuner but it only works on Windows XP. I tried the latest version of Rivatuner but the button for Create Driver is not clickable no matter how I set it up, and it doesn't correctly detect the monitor (perhaps because I'm using 2 monitors at once, not sure).
Any suggestions on how I can force windows 7 to use higher refresh rates? This monitor looks like absolute crap when it's not at full refresh....especially next to my nice new TRUE 120hz 22" LCD (ViewSonic VX2265WM).

View 2 Replies View RelatedI just turned on my sony vaio laptop that runs windows 7 home premium and when I try to run any type of application, it shows an error saying "No such interface supported" I've tried everything in the forum and nothings working. I can't get into regedit.exe to fix the registry and the error pops up when i try to
do a recovery, and also I don't have a back up. The weird thing is that it can run programs through other ways. I was able to open itunes by manually clicking a song, and I had to manually turn on my wireless hardware to get internet connection.
I uninstalled a couple of toolbars for Firefox the other day using the Uninstaller in Advanced System Care 5. I think it was the Power Clean utility which has caused the problem. Now I cant access any of my folders or shortcuts on my desktop or in the Start Menu (Control Panel, My Computer, Documents etc.) the msg 'no such interface supported' pops up. The USB connections are not working either. All non windows programs are working fine such as Mozilla, Bit Torrent, Picasa and Wifi. Do I need to reinstall Windows 7to fix the problem and will reinstalling Windows wipe all my data of my hard drives? I returned the computer to the previous restore point but it had no effect

View 2 Replies View Relatedmy monitor doesn't seem to support 720p or 1080p hd videos on Internet when full screen. i have an hp 2009m monitor and it seems pretty new.
do you think this is a monitor driver issue or graphics card, or maybe something else?
I just upgraded my desktop and am running Windows 7 Enterprise 32 bit. I'm now seeing problems with my old mouse and keyboard, which have worked just fine up till now.
The media keys on my keyboard work at the moment (though didn't last night and I have no idea why). The main issue is I have two extra mouse buttons that I can't seem to assign.
Logitech doesn't have drivers for me, they say that they are incorporated into Windows 7 by default. And yes, they work, but I can't assign buttons. The software for assigning the buttons, iTouch is no longer supported and doesn't work in Windows 7.
Now I am puzzled, I have tried 2x Windows 7 X64 builds and both turn out the same.
While the installer loads after pressing a key to boot from the CD the whole thing spits out a nice BSOD before I can do anything at all, and that BSOD says one thing:
"Multiprocessor_Configuration_Not_Supported"
Looking up that error it says it could show up if I combined a 486 CPU with a Pentium for an example... Fair enough... UNTIL you see what I got under the hood.
Only multi CPU setup I got is a SINGLE E8600 CPU which is dual core and those 2 cores are 100% identical architecture and speed wise.
So any solutions or any word from MS on this show stopper bug?
My CPU is Intel Core 2 E4300. I have been running Windows 7 x64 and have installed Microsoft Virtual Machine 64 bit edition.
I have 3 Windows XP machines inside Virtual PC 2007 SP1, and all of them runs fine.
I was reading the thread regarding the CPUs that supports XPM, and E4300 is listed as NOT supported.
Is it possible? I can run my own WinXP virtual machines, but I cannot run XPM?
After I installed Windows Virtual PC Beta x64 (Windows6.1-KB958559-x64.msu) and Windown XP Mode Beta (VirtualWindowsXP.msi), I can NO longer run my Virtual PC 2007 program.
The error message was "Virtual PC 2007 SP1 is not supported on this version of windows".
This is weird.
Also, where can I find a tutorial on setting up XPM step by step?
when i install Ms office 2007 professional in window-7 starter it give error "the language of installation package is not support by your system".what i do for installation
