My mouse cursor stopped moving and I removed the stick because it seemed to be interfering with the USB.The next day, I was playing a game and the keys were malfunctioning and typing more than one letter each or the wrong letter altogether. I tried another keyboard and got similar, yet different errors. One keyboard types hn instead of n. The other won't type certain letters at all, like d or g. I couldn't even log into windows without using the cursor keypad to log in. The language settings are OK. I re-installed the drivers for keyboard and mouse. No dice. Sometimes the mistakes would change. H works now, but was zh a minute ago. I finally did a system repair and afterwards, I could log into windows again. I then typed every letter of the alphabet into Google and there were no problems, but 10 seconds later, the problem is back. Does this sound like a keyboard controller problem?I could type my password when running system repair, so the keyboard works in the boot area. Just not anywhere from windows log on or further.
Here's an example of the alphabet when typing without me correcting it.

I have a latitude d830 running with windows 7 professional(SP1, 32bit). The cursor on my computer has been randomly scrolling by itself and hopping into places where i do not intend to type for a while now. I recently had windows xp removed and replaced with windows 7 because of multiple bothersome issues, but behold the cursor issue remains. My files were backed-up and reloaded to the computer and I now wonder if the "suspected" virus was transferred to my system again.
I have a problem with my mouse cursor. In some games it keeps moving down. It suddenly began doing it. It wasn't a problem when I installed windows 7. It is primarily a problem in the games that come with Windows 7, so I've been ignoring it, but I can't play Fallout New Vegas because the cursor problem occurs in that game as well. I have a Logitech MX 620 mouse. I have tried to pull out the batteries to see if that helped, but it didn't. I tried to unplug the mouse to see if that helped, but it didn't. I tried installing Setpoint, but it didn't change anything.
Recently, my computer always had BSOD. It started with a freeze on my computer, cursors are not moving, suddenly the screen go blank and BSOD! I have already attached the minidump file. I don't know if this is related, but a few days ago, I updated my display driver from optional updates from Windows Update, I think the BSODs start after this. Then, I tried to install the driver from ATI website, still had the blue screen, reinstall the display driver, still had it.
I have recently upgraded from Windows Vista to Windows 7.Most things are working fine except that my cursor seems to be hyper-sensitive, jumps around without any apparent cause and makes using any typing programme a real chore as it will erase things onscreen if I don't watch every word I am typing or it will jump to another line and carry on typing there.
There is a moving cursor but nothing else happens. the login page does not appear. The screen background just stays blue with white rays. I do not want to lose any files.
my Acer aspire 4750G uses windows 7 64 bitit boots and get stuck in the log in screen.. I have no password but I have two users, so I have to click on which to log into.the cursor is moving , but when I click on the User, nothing happens.. the cursor is still moving, but there is no indication that the computer is reading.that round moving icon that you see is not there..is there a way to fix this without reformatting? I dont know much about computer troubleshooting and repair
I have an HP netbook and was wiping it down to clean and now my mouse is moving on its own and there is a little rectangular icon above the pointer. It is a touchpad mouse on keyboard. Did I click something by mistake?
Ok this is my first post here. I have installed Windows 7 32 bit clean installs twice now on a Dell GX960 4 gig of Ram. I go to install Groupwise and Norton and I notice installs are going extremely slow, I can move the mouse and the speed seems normal. I have noticed this when I try to open the internet, move something, boot up, shut down I move the mouse and you can see the busy circle works normally, stop moving the mouse and the busy circle stutters and the machine seems really slow.
I have checked the event viewer and there is nothing there except where I have cancelled installs for office or adobe. I have checked the device manager and there is no conflicts. Deleted the Dell Laser mouse and rebooted, it reinstalled and still same issues.
I have installed this on 2 laptops and have no issues with them, they actually run GREAT! Decided to do my office machine and well, it is not going as smooth
Any ideas would be helpful. Anyone seen this before??
After I put my computer to sleep I can turn it back on by moving the mouse or touching the keys. How do I disable that? My wireless mouse is very sensitive, even glitchy, and sometimes the computer turns on randomly in the middle of the night. Now I have to turn off the mouse before putting the computer to sleep. My old DELL(XP) wakes by pushing the power button. How to I make it so that the computer only wakes after pushing the power button?
It is an 'Advent T9208'.The GPU was previously upgraded to a GeForce 8600GT. Yesterday I upgraded the RAM to 4GB and installed Windows 7 64-bit. Everything was running grand and then the system froze. But the I was able to move the mouse and see it move on screen. Everything else however was unresponsive. There is one driver that windows 7 isn't picking up and I'm not sure what it is, but I honestly don't think that's the problem. As shown in the link, there are 2x 250GB HDDs. They are set to RAID.

Ok computer has been doing scandsks for the last week all of a sudden when starting up and now it splashes the boot screen and hangs on the black screen with a blinking cursor at the top left.
heres what i have done so far:
1-booted from windows cd and did STARTUP REPAIR, it found my windows installation and finished without no problems - PROBLEM STILL EXISTS
2-command propmpt and fixboot command unsuccessful since it stays on x: dir and i cant find the c: dir for the right commands
3-SYSTEM RESTORE found no earlier restore points which i found odd but it is what it is.. lol..
4- went ahead and tried installation of windows to see if it recognized my drive on array and it did with the correct size and data.
I tried installing the regrun reanimator to see if it maybe was a root kit problem but the boot up disk didnt recognize my c drive either.
anyone know where to download custom mouse cursors for windows 7 preferably a trusted site that wont blow up my computer. im just looking for something different i got an amazing background and downloaded rocketdock so only think left in appearance is the cursor.
pc the other day and my mouse cursor suddenly started wiggling about on the screen, when i move the mouse the cursor is responsive and i can still use it to an extent if i turn the settings to lowest possible setting, i have tried another usb mouse and even an old school connection mouse ( sorry dont know what that connection is called) . . . ive ran multiple anti virus programs and malware and spyware programs but i still have got no were, ive even changed the hard drive and installed windows 7 again but it still happens on the other drive too . . . im totally loPc Specsi7 860 stockpackard bell g5800 motherboard8gb samsung ddr3 memory750 watt novatech power station modular psugtx 560 ti at stockgigabyte m6900 gamingmouse standard usb keyboard
System is Windows 7 home 64 bit with amd athlon II 255 Processor 3.10 GHz and 4gb of ram. Avast anti-virus. I have windows firewall on, but haven't really made any other changes. My cursor flashes the busy symbol about once every 4-5 seconds, and it does so whenever the mouse is on the desktop or anywhere it shows the regular icon. When inside this text window it changes to the text cursor and ceases to flash, however. I changed the icon only to have the new one act the same.
For a little while I have had a problem with my mouse cursor sticking inside of windows and even icons on the taskbar. It shakes back and forth and won't allow me to move past the icon or window it's stuck in.This begins happening at random while I am doing "whatever". I haven't been able to isolate it as occurring when I am doing a certain task. I have already tried the following. (which everybody keeps telling me over and over)
1. Closing each program 1 by 1 to see if it stops.
2. Using a different mouse - Both do the same thing.
3. Rebooting - Real fun trying to save my work 20 minutes into being booted up when I can't even move from window to window properly.
4. Getting the newest mouse drivers.
5. Making sure that my graphics tablet pen isn't laying too near the tablet.
my mouse cursor (the triangle thing) freezes for 1-2 seconds at completly random times now , what determined me to not buy another one is this after the freeze ends the Computer makes a sound like....like when you extract a .rar file and its done , that sound , and now i know its a virus or a malware , i just need to find it anti virus cant detect it...!
The mouse/cursor suddenly STOPPED. The computer was rebooted and the same thing occurs. I plugged in a wireless mouse that has been used before, but NOTHING. The cursor/mouse will not move.
I even reinstalled windows but have hte same problem.
I upgraded to Win-7 64 bit and now my mouse cursor blinks with the busy icon about every 6 seconds. I also see the processor is running at a constant 4% to 6%.
When I had Vista the solution was to disable the HD Audio device and it solved the problem. Now this isn't working at all.
I also installed a new video card: ATI Radeon HD 5770.
In both IE Opera and yahoo messenger if the cursor touches either side or top/bottom of screen window is immediately minimized I went to Microsoft.com to reload drivers and software for my Microsoft 6000 wireless and there has been an update and it is now the Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center which is installed on my computer
sometimes, all of a sudden my mouse cursor gets bigger, like, twice the size. it doesn't look pixelated or edgy. it just doubles in sizes. my current work around is to go to "change how mouse pointer looks" select the aero_arrow file and hit apply. then the mouse is cursor is back to normal.
While I'm typing text into any program (email, Word, etc), the cursor will auto-move to wherever the mouse pointer would be (sort of like the setting is on that does auto-select/click when it sits on something). I then end up typing into a completely different part of the message/document and it's SO frustrating. There's no rhyme or reason to when it occurs, at least not that I can figure out.
It's nothing to do with my mouse/drivers - it happens with both my trackpad and my USB mouse.
I have an odd issue, that from my knowledge has only started recently. That is that my left mouse button lags quite a bit. This is most notable when i drag windows, as it would randomly select another window under the one i was dragging. Recently, it hasnt been clicking properly, i would have to hold the button down for a shot while (only a very shot moment, but it is very annoying and noticable) for it to click. I have an A4 Tech x7 lasermouse that has been working perfectly for years, it is only in the last few days that this problem has been occuring. I have ran virus scans and checked mouse settings in control panel without success.
I can't see my mouse cursor (Logitech vx revolution) in media center. Is this the way it's supposed to work?
Any suggestions for getting my mouse cursor to be visible in MC?
Edit: It seems using an external display (while using laptop) is part of the problem. Switching MC to windowed mode enables me to see the mouse. So just can't use full screen mode and see the mouse cursor. Weird.
I have windows 7 and this is very annoying to have the appearance of the cursor change- then randomly goes back to normal. It takes anywhere from a few seconds to several minutes to change back.
