Numeric Keypad Extra Keys No Working?
Jan 11, 2012I have a problem with the numeric keyboard plus and minus signs and other things.When I try to use the + or the minus sign they will not work, I have to press the shift key for them to work. Until yesterday they work fine all of a sudden they will not work. I have tried a different keyboard but it is the same problem. Just recently I have added Dragon Naturally Speaking to my computer, I don't know if this is the problem.

Jan 15, 2012I save a lot of folders on my desktop. For the most part they are sorted alphabetically, from A to Z, with no problem.
For the last several months, if something is named numerically, they are saved backwards. In other words, if I have files named 001, 002, 003 instead of showing up in 001-002-003 sort order, they show up in 003-002-001 sort order.
How do I change this back to the original 001-002-003 sort order?

Jun 21, 2011My specific problem is i have pressed some key combination on my vaio fw11m laptop, and the keys on the right hand side of the keyboard - u,i,o,p,h,j,k,l,b,n,m are now coming up as 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,0 - when pressed. I have tried alt/fn/ctrl with some of the function keys to reverse this, but to no avail. I remember this happening once with a previous vaio 7 yrs ago, I cannot remember the key combination to correct it.

Jul 15, 2012I have a HP Touchsmart 300-1060a (Home Premium Windows 7 64 BIT) which I bought few years back. Now for the last 6 months or so I started getting issues with my machine was not displaying anything at all after turning it on. So I had to hard reset my power from the machine and then was able to see it started displaying again.At first I suspected graphic card (NVIDIA GEFORCE) but then I did my diagnostic test and nothing was found.One day, I started re-imaging my machine as a fresh and then after this it never came back ONLINE. I read all HP forums & even HP Online support was unable to help me to find the cause.Because when I turn on my machine I can see the power light was on and could hear big fan noise but mo HDD activity at all.So at this stage, I suspected either motherboard or BIOS but wasn't 100% sure what could be the real cause because I was sure it was not due to graphic card.So first I re-setted by my BIOS to see if it helps but it didn't came up at all. So then I took my machine to a Computer repair shop (a friend of mine) and we detected it could be due to the regulator which supplies power to the CPU and motherboard.So we replaced that part and now my HP Touchsmart is running fin since then.But I have lost my HP Startup logo with options such as below: [code]

Jan 28, 2012i set up a guest user area so that my kids & other than myself can use the labtop and wont distrub my files on my user area the problem is that the internet has been disabled in the guest user area when the internet is clicked on its says " guest users not granted acess" which makes it useless because no one can get online, how can i enable the internet brouser in the guest user area ,I've tried several times and ways with no succcess.

I've checked all of the necessary power management options to 'allow nic to wake the computer' and 'only with magic packet' etc. but after sysprep, since the NIC drivers are reinstalled after windows performs sysprep, those settings are not saved. There are three checkboxes that I need to check on the Wired NIC. Does anyone have a script, or the knowledge of how to accomplish this after sysprep? I have tried several windows xp scripts, but those don't work with this new onboard nic. It's a NIC on the optiplex 790.
