How To Remove Credential Manager

Nov 30, 2010

How do I remove the windows 7 credential manager? I have no need for it and never want to save passwords / usernames. I find it a really annoying thing that keeps saving my hotmail usernames. This is a real privacy problem. I hate having to go into credential manager and delete all credentials. How do I get rid of credential manager? I just don't want it on my system.

User Being Prompted For Credential When Download An Excel File

Feb 20, 2012

I have a user who goes to a public HTTPS site to download an excel file and she is being prompted for Windows Security credential. She types in her username and password and hits okay, but it prompts for it again and does it for total of three times before letting her open the file.

1. I entered her username and password in Windows credential manager and it is autofilled when it prompts so she has to just click okay three times before she is able to access the file.

2. All she has to do is hit "Cancel" once and it will still give her the option to Save or Open the file.why it is prompting her for credential and I had her use another box which worked correctly without any credential prompts. This is not a Sharepoint site. It doesn't seem to prompt for login if its none office files.

Remove Lenovo HD Audio Manager?

Jan 30, 2012

I just purchased a Lenovo Ideacenter 330K desktop and I have run into a problem with the audio manager.

The system is using a standard Realtek Audio chipset and it has front and real audio jacks but the problem I keep running into is that unlike other realtek control panels, the Lenovo doesn't allow me to split the front and rear audio jacks. The only advanced option that it gives me is to disable detection of the front jack.

There is no reason for this functionality to even exist. Realtek allows to split the two devices with it's audio manager but I can't find the files I need to remove and I have already tried to update the files which is supposed to uninstall the old driver package and install the new drivers but the audio manager is untouched.

Remove Hardware From Safely Remove Hardware

Nov 17, 2009

Alright. So I finally got my new computer and slapped Windows 7 Pro x64 on it. Since my case has a slot to plug in an external drive, I used AHCI-mode to support hot-swapping. (And yes, I actually will use it)

Unfortunately, this has caused the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon to appear continuously in the system tray - giving me the option to eject my system drive. Being the minimalist I am, this useless icon annoys me to no end. Is there any way to tell windows not to add the HDD to the safely remove hardware menu (and thus make the menu disappear when there's no other devices)? I've been looking around and can't find any solutions.

I am NOT looking to disable the safely remove hardware entirely - I still want it to show up for other devices, just not the system drive. Also, I don't want to just hide it with the expand/collapse menu - call me picky.

100 % Cpu Whenever Task Manager Isn't Up?

Jan 6, 2013

Whenever I load up windows 7 with bootcamp, my cpu jumps to 100 % usage almost as soon as I log in. I can not figure out what is taking up my cpu power. When I open up task manager, there are no processes running anywhere near 100%. Also, when task manager is open, the cpu goes back to normal at around 2-3% cpu usage. WIthout task manager, the cpu gets hot fast and the fans start in full speed! Its insane! I play a lot of video games on my computer, and when I dont have task manager open, there is insane amounts of framerate lag. Games, such as Warcraft 3, are lagging my computer when they are set on low

Best Startup Program Manager?

Jul 9, 2011

disable/enable windows startup program. Here are some features I'd like:

- enable/disable startup programs, whether it is in startup folder, or in registry, or started in other ways

- a history of the programs I have enabled/disabled, or a list of the changes I made that deviates from the default

- if I disable a program, and then updating some software causes it to become enabled again, this utility should detect and disable it again

- explain what each startup program does by connecting to some database online to look up the program

Boot Manager Not Found

Jun 24, 2011

In attempting to install W7 64 on generic non-micro ATX [full] form factor desktop, Windows 7 will successfully begin installation. Upon reboot to complete installation I am informed that the boot manager cannot be found. How might I determine what is wrong so that I might correct the problem? Might it be a problem with jumper pins? No-o-o-o, it's not IDE HDDs I'm using; it's ATA. Might Microsoft's installation disc be at fault? I'll try using a different 64-bit disc with the [legal] new license, and then a 32-b it disc with the [legal] new license, but I'm at a loss. If it were the processor, it wouldn't even get to the install GUI that originates from the disc, would it? Otherwise, I'll have to take it to the shop and pay them to do a RAID 0(striped)config/install. The reason I'm posting this here is that I strongly suspect the 64-bit edition discs to be inherently flawed. On my 64-bit processor laptop, the 64-bit disc wouldn't install, but the 32-bit one did. I never worried about that because all I'm using on it are 32-bit apps. It's only on the custom-built desktop I need the 64-bit environment.

CPU At 100% Task Manager Shows Nothing

Jul 5, 2012

For the last few days I've been running some CPU intensive programs which I wrote. My laptop was getting really hot (70+C), so I decided to blow into the vent to clear the dust out. However all this did was clog the fan with dust and it stopped spinning, so I used a safety pin to hook the dust out. The fan started spinning and it blew a load of old dust out, and my laptop is now running in the low 40's.

However now task manager shows the CPU usage as 100%, but when I sort the processes by CPU time, nothing is using much of the processor, firefox sometimes jumps up to 50%, but it doesn't stay there for long.Even when I boot into ubuntu, everything is still running really slowly. Also, speedfan reports my CPU speed as 600mhz, sometimes it shows a few other values (1400, 1200, 1800 etc), I have two core2 duo 1.83 ghz processors, so I wasn't expecting to see 600mhz!

No Bluetooth On Device Manager

Nov 3, 2011

I have my Dell N4010 Inspiron 14R laptop/notebook with the OS of windows 7 32bit Ultimate.

My bluetooth was previously working fine with the driver Dell wireless 365 Bluetooth Driver 6.2.1.100 A00 win 32/64bit R273580. I notice that this past days when i connect my N6120c phone via bluetooth, my laptop didn't have any reaction, when i see my system tray no bluetooth icon was presented, previously there it is. So i manually run the bluetooth through BTTray.exe from CProgram FilesWIDCOMMBluetooth Software, but my laptop didn't react to it. So i look at the device manager and there was no trace of bluetooth, previously there was a Peripheral Bluetooth. So i manually re-install the driver and then its stuck on this page, Activate Bluetooth using Wireless Switch, on the lower right it say Cancel Installation.
