Aug 8, 2012I recorded a video on my HTC EVO & it will not play nor has ever played. It says sorry this video cannot be played on the phone & on my computer it will not play either. I use VLC to playback on the computer. I have used handbrake and vlc to try in convert it but with out success. I am desperate to have this video play. These are the error messages when trying to play on VLC;

I used to upload videos and pictures from my phone to my computer about once a week for months straight and I didn't have a problem with it. Oct 25, 2009I have a GearHD (Gearhead) AU6000 USB headset that 7 is unable to find any drivers for. I've looked on the manufactures website and nothing there for this product, in any OS. I've emailed them, but waiting on a response.
In the meantime, does anyone know of a generic USB headset driver I could try? I've tried Googling extensively, to no avail.

Aug 16, 2011I recently decided to install Windows 7 service pack 1 after I installed that software and it updated everything, I don't get any sound from my onboard speakers. I do get sound when I plug in headphones or ext. speakers.. I'm sure its a driver issue because when I start up my computer I get start up sound out of the same speakers.

May 10, 2012i've been having some really weird freezes, sometimes its just the windows but multimedia keyboard keys / mouse still work, other times it completely freezes (cant even move the mouse.).Usually if i wait a little bit the computer goes back to normal by itself, other times i get BSOD.Im pretty sure its hardware related because i've tried formatting and got a bsod right after installing windows, i suspect the hard drive because when the computer freezes all HDD activity stops, when the computer manages to recover the hard drive activity comes back exactly at the same time the system unfreezes, sometimes if i run chkdsk there are lots and lots of errors, windows fixes them but they come back sooner or later, also, sometimes the computer doesn't detect the hard drive after a BSOD, turning the computer off and then on always "fixes" that tho.
The only reason im not 100% sure its the HDD its because all HDD utilities i've tried (incluiding western digital diagnostics software) say the disk is fine, can SMART be wrong I've also ran memtest and no errors (just one pass tho)Things seem to have gotten worse when i changed the graphic card, however i remember getting these freezes with the old one, just not as serious, prolly just a coincidence.I remember getting 3 kinds of BSOD errors: driver_power_state_failure, pagefault_in_nonpaged_area and kernel_data_inpage_error.A week ago i turned my pc on and windows was broken, startup repair thing would show up and try to repair but failed no matter how many times i tried, this never happened to me before so it must be related.

May 17, 2009I have just installed the new RC version of Win 7 and getting to grips with it and along the way discovering which software or existing applications will run on/with the new OS, so far not that many problems and Win 7 has XP mode/virtulisation, a very good application but something to be wary of IMO.
My problem lays with my Nokia N 95 8gb phone.
There are no more firmware updates for my phone, but I use the Nokia software to make back ups of my phone contents to my PC, again no problems, under Windows XP home or under Win 7.
I have the most recent Nokia software but am running into problems under Win 7, my Belkin bluetooth dongle and my phone can no longer find each other.
What I do get sometimes is a window informing me some Bluetooth peripheral is missing or can't be found, basically there are some drivers missing but I'm not sure if it's in the nokia software/updater or Win 7, iIf I try to update drivers, I can't boxes are greyed out.
The next issue and I guess connected to the above and a lot more troublesome for me is I use my phone a lot as a camera and upload my pictures using a Belkin Bluetooth dongle, never had a problem until today,
I can not get the phone to recognise or connect to the dongle or vice versa under WIN 7, I cannot transfer a photo from my phone to my PC using Bluetooth, the phone informs me of a failed connection.
The dongle firmware has been updated.
Not a problem I thought, I'll install and run the original dongle software and the original Nokia PC suite software in Win 7 XP mode,( which is XP pro ), nothing doing, I'm running in to the same brick wall and problem.
This has surprised me a bit as everything worked great under my old OS, XP Home.
I have looked at the Nokia forums, no joy, although there does appear to be issues.
Where does the problem lay, can I get my Nokia phone/ bluetooth to run under WIN 7 or in XP mode?
Motorola Phone Drivers

The installation says It does not recognize my system's operating system, which makes me believe that I'll have to use XP or Vista to charge my cellphone. Does anyone know a way around this, such as maybe running Vista as an emulation to use the correct drivers?
Only other way I can think of doing this would be to fix my first mistake by repartioning the hard drive so I can dual boot Win 7 and Vista (I'm a little impulsive...).
