View 1 Replies View RelatedI use Outlook2010 as mail program. When I Start it to receive my mails I got a Internet Security warning. Target Principal Name is Incorrect What simply means that the URL of the certificate and the domain I connect to is not the same. Thats not a real problem as I know the cert is OK.
The question is how do I tell outlook that it hast to trust this certificate? I already tried some ways to install it, but it seems that I'm missing something.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI purchased my Windows 7 Pro and installed it, thinking that I would activate it later, then didn't use the computer for some time. Now, when I attempt to activate, I'm told that my key has been blocked. The only solution I'm being offered is to purchase another key.
Code:
Diagnostic Report (1.9.0027.0):
-----------------------------------------
Windows Validation Data-->
Validation Code: 50
Cached Online Validation Code: 0x0
[code].....
My laptop says that the windows activation period expired and asks me for a activation code. Well, i did a little research and found a way to see how many days remaining left for the activation. When i saw it in the control panel, it says that my windows is activated and even shows the activation key! My desktop is still black and it still prompts me that it is still not active.
View 2 Replies View RelatedSo, my Dad wanted my old laptop because I don't use it anymore. I factory defaulted it however, a message popups stating the following, "Sorry, this trial version expired on October 23, 2042." I'm not sure whether it's windows 7 or not.

View 5 Replies View Relatedi've just built a brand new computer. Everything has been working fine except the web browser has been acting weird. I use google chrome, which is updated. Everytime I start my computer upon sleep mode and start up the browser, it reads that it cannot find the webpage "webpage has expired" or "Oops, Google Chrome could not find www.*****.com". So what I do is keep reloading the webpage for 2-5 minutes and eventually the webpage will load. From there on, if I continue browsing, it will work just fine besides being slower than usual. If I leave for an hour and come back, the same bullcrap happens. AVG didn't find any virus, I ran AVG PC tuneup to clean it up a little. I tried everything, so I am starting to think it may be a Spy Ware that AVG can't find....
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm running Windows 7 64bit. I regularly access a work website that has a self-signed certificate. I got tired of the warning message that always pops up regarding the untrusted certificate, so I installed the certificate. When I used to run XP, that solved the issue. However, for Windows 7 64-bit, that did not fix the problem.
I've also tried installing the certificate into the "Trusted Root Certificate Authorities" store for both my user account and for the computer. That didn't fix it either. Finally, I tried changing the security zone for the site to be in the Trusted Sites list. That also didn't fix the problem.
I find it very irritating that a website that has a "trusted" certificate is giving me a warning message about an untrusted certificate. I wonder if this is related to the Windows 7 64bit driver signing nazi-ism (i.e., you can't load device drivers signed with non-Microsoft certificates, even if you install the certificate). Just for grins, I tried disabling driver signing enforcement, but that didn't change anything either.
Does anyone have any ideas?

I recently purchased a lenovo laptop for home purpose around 1.5 months back. The laptop was having already microsoft security essentials (MSE) and mcafee antivirus plus software. Unfortunately, yesterday i was facing blue screen on death type of error (BSOD) error. On one forum, I found that it may be due to the mcafee antivirus software. So, I uninstalled the software as per suggestion. Why MSE was not able to detect this bsod error? Moreover, why mcafee, which itself is a anti-virus software, was causing this issue?
Morever, I want to install good free antivirus software. I am totally confused whether should I install the antivirus software or, the internet security software. Please throw more light on good free internet security software from longer perspective. (I just found that almost all free trials are only for 1 month only)? Moreover, why built-in windows firewall and microsoft security essentials (MSE) are not enough for detecting malacious software. Why extra internet security software or antivirus software is required ?
For the past few weeks, I'm getting all these error codes and have NO clue why? They are to sites I use every day. One moment I can access the sights and next moment I get the error codes.I've run the Windows Repair Disk, CClean, Malwarebytes and Spybot and nothing I've done has helped. Any ideas will be appreciated because I've gotten a rotten headache again today trying to figure this out.If I recall, I think it all started when the Babylon Toolbar forced it's way onto my computer. I have no idea how I got it but I believe it's been deleted....and not even sure if that is the start of the problems/ I just remember having to delete it and then got these others problems afterwards. Whether there is a connection or not, I don't know.
