Oct 26, 2012After an upgrade from Windows XP to Windows Vista 32 (all drivers, modem, audio, etc. found on Gateway support windows vista 86/64)to Windows Business N 64 I cannot find certain drivers that are compatible with Win 7. I have tried the win vista 64 drivers with no luck. I have searched, for two days, for drivers AC '97 2.3 Compliant Audio (Conexant Audio 6.14.10.0575 from Gateway website), and the PCI Modem (Conexant7.22.0.0 1.4 MB 08/03/2010) do not work. I searched the Conexant website for drivers, again no luck.Other than that, after a HDD upgrade, 2GB memory upgrade this old machine, supprising, it runs very good.

How Can I Find What My Sound Card Is ?
Dec 27, 2009I've tried Device Manager in Control Panel, but I'm only given a very generic name. (I just tried to open Device Manager again, but I can't for some reason... I'll edit this shortly.) I tried running dxdiag, and it claims it couldn't find a sound card.
I just installed Windows 7 Home Premium. I was previously using Windows Vista Ultimate.
I'm at home from school, and I didn't feel like bringing my speakers. So, sound would come from my sound card. I reformatted and installed Windows 7 with a headset plugged in, and I'm only able to hear sound through that.
I also hit system lag spikes when playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Sound, during these spikes, becomes a cackling noise. I think I need to update my drivers. If I take out the headset, sound becomes muted because it doesn't recognize my sound card or whatever.
I'm fairly certain I need the stickied Realtek HD drivers (I think I've seen the name before), but I want to confirm.
Ideas?

I have tried them on my laptop and they work fine.Does anybody know what might be causing this? I am half tempted to get a new sound card but I am reluctant as it says my existing one is working (it just seems to have forgotten to tell the speakers!)
If anybody knows a fix for this I really would be eternally grateful

(It says that the sound is playing, it's just that it isn't coming through the speakers.) Feb 16, 2011I have been searching for the last week for two drivers that are missing in device manager.Marvell 91xx Config ATA device + USB controller Both are under "other devices" in device manager I need the usb ports to be working obviously. right now i can plug a usb key into my monitor and use it but when i plug in my zune hd or droid x is charges them but doesn't show any connection on the device or computer.When i plug either device into the tower it shuts the device down and i have to restart. Device manager can't find the drivers and i dont really know where else to look. Unable To Find Drivers
Nov 23, 2009I have a new Windows 7 Pro 64, and Windows detects a Samsung 4828FN 3in1 printer and a Canon LIDE 80 scanner in "Devices & Printers" but appears to be unable to find drivers. I downloaded & installed Win 7 drivers from both mfg sites, but neither appears in their appropriate windows when called up. The scanner on the printer works and saves to files, so I know the USB connections are working. Canon Toolbox Settings cannot detect.
Of course the HP 1000 printer has no Win 7 drivers to download, so that one does not work either,
Also, when I try and select new printers from a "Print" drop-down menu, I get a message "The Active Directory Domain Sevices is Currently Unavailable"
Anyone have suggestions?

Feb 23, 2011I built a brand new PC and installed XP on it fine. I want to give Windows 7 a shot - but I cannot get it installed.When I boot the windows 7 loader loads fine and stars the process, I get the nice blue picture background that says Loading - then I get this error 1 2..It is a Samsung Drive, model TSSTcorp CDDVDW SH-S223C - I cannot find drivers for it I think they are generic but I can find firmware and have installed the latest versions.
