I run Win 7 Pro (64bit), COMODO Firewall, and Steganos AntiVirus 12 and the latest SpywareBlaster.Whenever I start-up I find a lot of cookies from MS have been deposited on to my C: Drive. They manage to go through my virus checker and all other forms of protection without any sort of problem.I know it all seems a bit paranoid but I cannot see why Bing and Zune cookies (3 month ones) are deposited onto my system as I don't even use their services!Deleting them is easy, though they do tend to re-appear regularly. Which means I have to keep deleting them. How do I stop them from getting onto my system
Is there any way to block tracking cookies? Also I have two tool bars I'd like to delet but am unable to do so,I can disable them but they remain in the manage add ons window.
No wonder so many dislike the MS Corp.; I installed Windows 7 RC, and the first device that isn't supported is my MS Zune player. It's absurd that a company as large and profitable as MS doesn't take care of its customers.
On FF, I used to be able to type in a partial url and FF would get the rest and go there. Now, Bing interrupts, forcing me to type the entire url. I've removed Bing from the search engine list but that didn't help.
How do I get rid of Bing?
BTW, since the last MS update, it also infiltrated FF and made MSM my home page. This is making me think about going back to Linux.
I have Shark007's codecs installed on Windows 7 64 bit SP1. I can play all kinds of files including FLV videos using WMP12. But Zune 4.7 software can't open FLV files. Does Zune not support Shark007's codecs?
I bought this windows mobile phone in December 2010 and since then I keep getting this stupid error from Zune - 801811A3. This phone just won't update from any PC. I've reset the phone and still no joy.
I'm looking for one video codec and package that will play nicely on Windows 7 Media Center, Zune, and the Xbox 360 extender. I have original DVDs, and I'm able to convert them to whatever.
The title explains the problem. I can't find anything that would set this off. Everything else seems normal. It's been doing this all morning. Probably, if I reboot, it'll stop - but I want to find the source of the 'bing.' How can I trace it down?
In the last couple of weeks, sometimes when I power on, I get nothing but a black screen. I have to do a hard turnoff, then press escape and do a restore. I checked update history, and everytime it shows - Bing Bar 7.0 (KB2528989) had been installed. Since I did a restore, the bing bar doesn't show where I can uninstall, so I had to disable automatic updates so I can use the computer! I don't want Bing - it is NOT critical, and need to know how to stop it without having to disable updates. If I let it install, I can't get past the black screen and have to restore, and then can't uninstall it, and it installs again! I have an HP Mini 311-1037-NR, with Windows Home Premium.
Trying to convert some files to be friendly with my Zune 120Gb and the rest of my media players including Media Center. I would also like the file type to be GPU compatible so it is faster to convert. My Zune is the main thing so it doesn't try and convert when syncing, I am only using it as an external video player for use in my car on long trips for the second set of monitors in it.The Zune will support MPEG-4 and H.264 video but there are specific limits listed.
i have just bought a new sony vaio e5 laptop, it has windows 7 installed, with a preinstalled bing toolbar, i just want to put the "custom icons" on the top toolbar as i do on my windows xp laptop, how can i alter it so that i have a toolbar on the top where i can add the little icons like ebay, pcadvisor, facebook, Internet, yahoo, hotmail, etc., etc., (i use yahoo toolbar on my windows xp laptop which is great for adding the little custom ap.
I have a Samsung N145 JPO2 netbook. I've had it approx 5 weeks. By mistake I deleted the Bing toolbar. That messed up being able to connect to IE. I've reloaded the Bing toolbar. IE comes on but after 1-2 minutes gone again.
Where are the cookies stored in Windows 7? I've been playing Gemcraft Chapter 0, a flash game on armorgames.com and I need to find my cookies so I can transfer them to Vista.
I have Windows 7 and Vista on the same HD, so I was hoping I could just copy from one folder to another.
I've installed windows 7 rtm and windows server 2008 r2 rtm, in both i face the same problem, wich i lose my data of cookies always , i can't keep logging in all sites, like forums, facebook, webmail ,, any suggestion .
When trying to sign in to some of Yahoo's pages on my Win 7 computer with IE 9, I get the message that the cookie is rejected. Other site's cookies are accepted OK. accepting cookies and none seem to fix the problem. I have another Windows 7 computer with IE 9 and it accepts the yahoo cookies just fine, in fact the yahoo cookies show up in the temp file on this computer, but not the other. All the internet options settings are the same on both computers.
In IE8 on Windows 7, clearing cookies via Tools -> Internet Options -> Browsing History/Delete... only deletes cookies with expiration dates, leaving all session cookies (those that expire when the browser is closed). The only way I've found to delete the session cookies is to go through Developer Tools and select Cache -> Clear Session Cookies. So it's a 2-step process in completely different dialogues to clear all the cookies and get a clean slate. As a web developer this is extremely annoying. I understand there are some utilities out there for dealing with this like ccleaner.
I want clear all my cookies with some exceptions For that I use Click&Clean extension to clear all cookies, history, ... when Chrome closes, for whitelist i use "Cookies" app (it has the "encrypted cookie storage"), it works great, but i don't know which the cookies i need add to whitelist, that keep me logged in to Gmail
I have a strange problem or rather a small nuisance with Firefox 3.0.13.
I first noticed this Firefox changed my SevenForums theme. I tried to change it back to my favorite "Seven Blue" theme. Page reloads, but theme does not change. Only theme I can use is SF default.
Now I noticed the same issue with a couple other websites where I want to make cookie based changes. Only way to do that is to clear all cookies always when launching Firefox. For example logging out from SF clears the SF cookies but it is not enough to solve my problem.
About same time my SevenForums gadget stopped refreshing. Now when I want to refresh SF gadget, I have to close and restart.
Even this is not a problem per se, it is annoying. If you have an idea, please let me know.
Since last week, none of my web browsers (IE, Firefox, Chrome) accept cookies. I went to check their respective settings, they are all set to accept cookies.I own 2 other computers, they all allow me to go to my regular web sites and accept cookies.
I can delete my cookies at the Browse History (Internet Options) but not all cookies are empty. Normally, when I empty/delete my cookies, I have to login again at websites again. At some websites I don't have to. Can anybody help me? I don't understand why...
Ran a scan and it shows 29 tracking cookies by name. But I can't open usersobcookies, or anything else related to cookies. In other versions, I could manually delete them, although they were in a different folder. "Search" does nothing.
