Dec 22, 2011
i have a hp g61 running wind ows 7 home premium and i was testing a thing i bought for my phone to see if it worked with my pc and i accedintaly deleted the in built mic and i cant pick it up in add new device. how do get it back?
I think someone copied a file from my laptop onto their USB stick while I was at work. I got home and started to work on the file, then when I pressed save it said 'cannot find location, insert removable storage device into drive d' (or something like that) so I 'saved as' in another location, then checked my 'recent places' folder. Sure enough there was evidence of a removable disk being modified on my laptop whilst I was at work. I confided this to my house mate, checked my laptop again later that night and it had been deleted from the recent places folder. I now want to confront that person about what happened as it is now obvious to me that they had copied my file, but wondered if there's any way I can get the evidence back. I have tried the undo button, but to no avail. This happened on Tuesday (8th).
I recently installed Windows 7 to my SSD. Its only 64GB so I set Windows up so that the Users folder was on my seconday (X drive instead of my SSD, and setup a Program Files and Program Files (x86) on my secondary drive. I used this. I deleted the account I made when installing windows and accidenally clicked delete files as well. This deleted all of the data I had in my Users folder and many in Program Files and other places. I used Recuva, but now all of the deleted files are in one folder instead of their respective locations. Is there anything I can do aside from reinstalling and salvaging what I can and reinstalling all of my programs?
I moved my documents to my desktop without meaning to. And without thinking, deleted it. I thought it was just a shortcut but turns out it was the actual folder.
I've just acquired a new laptop with Windows 7, and so last night used Easy Transfer to get all my documents onto the new machine. Today I've been trying to get everything in order. A few minutes ago I noticed that the documents folder contained a subfolder, also named documents, so I decided to get rid of the subfolder and place the files directly in the main documents folder. When I then deleted the subfolder, all my documents disappeared (almost 9 gigabytes). They were not in the bin, and I could not redo the deletion.Luckily I see they can be found under C:/ User/ Documents, but I cannot seem to be able to copy them to replace them in the Documents
I was trying to edit my PATH environment variable and accidentally deleted it. Is there any way to recover it? If not, is there anyone out there who can tell me what the default path variable should be? I'm afraid to turn off my computer without fixing this as I'm not sure if it will be able to boot up again.
I used a solution I found online because I saw my colleagues files were all offline, she was also not communicating with the domain properly, once I got her back on the domain, the offiline files were there, so I used the solution to clear that up and get her back on a proper network drive. The BIG problem is that the stuff on the network drive was not current, and since I cleared the offline files, they were all deleted and now she has been set back as a result of this. I want to know if there is ANY ways to recover these files...I used the following solution in order to clear it up...
I am running Windows 7 64-bit SP1. Now at bootup I get the error:Windows cannot find 'regsrv32.exe'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again.I didn't type any name so I'm assuming I have to something, but, I'm not sure what??? It sounds like it wants me to type something. Not sure how to proceed.

I recently bought a new Toshiba Portege R705-P41 which came loaded with a ton of crap so I attempted to do a clean install but somehow managed to deleted the "System" partition. Now the laptop wont boot and I stupidly didn't create a system restore point so I'm freaking out a little bit.Is there any way I can get whatever was in the System partition back so the computer will boot and I can reinstall Windows 7?

So i've got a netbook from school and I successfully deleted the admin password by putting the HDD into my desktop and clearing it. Now my friends want me to do it to theirs, and I've got one of theirs with me now, and I thought rather than clearing the password I could find out the password so I could do the others easier.I've used OphCrack with the "Vista Free" and "Vista Special" tables and neither of them can find the password. Is there anything else I can do to find out the Administrator password
I have a good friends Dell computer running Windows 7 and 8G PNY flash drive. She accidentally deleted an entire folder from her flash drive that had her entire semester of MBA class work. Not realizing that she deleted the folder off her flash drive she emptied her trash bin on her computer. The Folder contained two other folders and inside one folder was all her word documents and powerpoint presentations and the other folder contained all her excel files and class assignments. I have tried running a recovery program (Search & Recover - Recovered Erased Files by iolo tech) on the flash drive and the hard drive but have not gotten any results.
I had 2 external hard drives connected and in disk manager I clicked delete on the wrong one? So now the drive wont show up, so I simply created a Simple volume and know it is a RAW drive? How do I recover the files there was over 100GB and some of them are really important such as records and work related stuff, it is currently a RAW partition and all the hard disk recovery softwares dont recognise it because it is a RAW drive? do i have to format it to recover the files?
I recently got a virus. I was trying to delete it, and my friend told me that when she deleted all the processes currently running in the task manager, it typically worked. Now the toolbar on the bottom won't show up; the desktop is blank; pretty much just a background. I tried restarting it, it didn't work. I have a Windows 7 laptop. I just need to know how to get back these processes and get my desktop back to normal.

I recently sent my laptop to HP for a fan repair and before I sent it off I accidentally deleted my Downloads folder and then cleared out my recycling bin.Well, I got my laptop back today and went to download a few files. After doing so, I realized that I can't find those downloaded files. I have no idea where those files went. They were .rar and ZIP files and I can't seem to locate them. Does anybody know how I can find those downloaded files (where they might have ended up with the Downloads folder gone) and how I can restore my Downloads folder
