I have the Logitech x520 speakers and Windows 7 x64. Since I've installed the new os, my 5.1 has not been working. Just the main front left and right speakers work, plus the sub. Under the configuration, it is set to 5.1, and when I run a test, all speakers make the test noise. I then thought it was iTunes, but doesn't seem like it. How come my speakers test correctly, but when I play music, only two +sub work?
View 5 Repliesi have logitech k400 wireless keyboard with touchpad. it works fine in bios and in xp but on some reason it does not work in win 7.it detected the device when i plugin the small wireless device and says "ready to use" but nothing is happening. keys are not working, touchpad is not working, mouse buttons are not working (touchpad buttons).there is no driver cd that came with the keyboard it is plug n play.it worked almost instantly in xp, 1-2 seconds and worked.my main keyboard is saitek cyborg v7. if you think it conflicts, then earlier i used a mini wireless keyboard with touchpad and it worked fine under Windows 7.somewhere on logitech site i read that someone had similar issue and that he said it worked in safe mode because some program was blocking it?@! i have not tested in safe mode but something tells me it will work either way i dont care about safe mode. i know keyboard is fully working and i need it with my Windows 7 machine.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI've run into an old problem when trying to reinstall windows 7, when I put the CD in and alter the BIOS to boot from CD, I get to the screen saying "Press any key to boot from CD" or something like that.
I've got a logitech G15 keyboard and a Microsoft media keyboard, both are USB, when I press them there is no response and it boots from the harddisk. I've had this problem ever since I installed Windows XP, first I thought it was a keyboard issue, but then I got the G15 and the problem persisted.
Since then I've replaced the motherboard, PSU, infact I think I've changed every single component, but the problem persist. Anyone have an idea of what is causing this? I'm forced to dig into the old storage at work for old PS/2 keyboards every time I'm installing a new OS
PS: The keyboards both work perfectly in BIOS, after booting an OS and when the installation disk has booted. Just in that place in between where you need to press buttons to either boot from various media or skip disk checks etc.
I have Windows 7 Professional x64, a Diamond Multimedia XS51 5.1 Soundcard and a Logitech Z506 speaker set up (used set up from liquidator).I am having trouble installing sound card drivers and I'm not getting sound to the center and rear speakers. Also, the speaker doesn't seem to work. I'm not sure if that sure work automatically or what?
View 9 Replies View RelatedSo yesterday I bought these quadrophonic speakers from a friend. The problem is, that only front right is working (everywhere- in test, windows sound, music, games etc.)... I thought that the other speakers might be bad, switched them but no- now when the FR speaker is the different one, it is still working and the others are not... I plugged the green wire in the green socket, the black one (rear) in the black socket, confirmed it in the realtek manager (front speakers, rear speakers)... I tried setting it to other mods (5.1, 7.1), it�s the same, only front right speaker is working... I downloaded the newest driver (2.52 or whats the newest one) both from gigabyte and realtek...When I plug the green wire in my notebook headphones socket, both speakers work ok (I have Windows 7 ultimate on my notebook to, but the sound card is not realtek hd)...

It's based on an Asus P6T Deluxe motherboard running SATA RAID0 on a pair of 1 TB HDDs with 6GB of RAM and 2 Pioneer DVD drives. My graphics card is a Matrox M9210 PCIe x16 with dual displays.The computer worked fine until recently, when EAC and dBpoweramp began freezing when ripping CDs. Acronis True Image also freezes when I try to write a bootable CDR. These functions don't work any better in Safe Mode. Other programs function normally, and Acronis works fine except when trying to write to media.
I did a System Restore to the earliest Restore Point that worked, but it wasn't early enough. I have an Acronis complete backup from 6 months ago when I was ripping regularly without incident, but would rather try to fix the problem than backing up the whole drive, then merging in my data files from a current backup.I have scanned with Microsoft Security Essentials, AVG 2012, Spybot Search & Destroy, Ad-Aware, and Memtest 86+ (for 3 hours), all of which found no problems. Here are the WhoCrashed reports since the System Restore, both apparently from the same crash while trying to write an Acronis CDR in Safe Mode:windows version: Windows 7 Service Pack 1, 6.1, [CODE]This appears to be a typical software driver bug and is not likely to be caused by a hardware problem.A third party driver was identified as the probable root cause of this system error. use to stop windows 7 from auto installing sound drivers. I have Realteck onboard audio on my Asrock 890 Deluxe Am3 motherboard. And have ATI catalyst for my ATI video Cards (crossfired) . I want to use Realteck as my for default sound, so when I go to device manager and uninstall the ati hd audio drivers they get deleted, but when I reboot my pc windows 7 reinstalls the ati hd drivers. How can I stop windows 7 from reinstalling the ati hd drivers. The reason I don't want two well really three sets of audio drivers because the cards are crossfired windows 7 is installing two sets of ati hd sound drivers one for each video card and the Realteck drivers, is because windows 7 is crashing when gaming and I think the sound drivers are conflicting and causing the crashes

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have four identical 1GB sticks of G.Skill PC2-8500 memory, and I cannot seem to get Windows 7 to boot with all of them installed. I am using a ASUS Rampage Formula board in which I have successfully used 4GB of PC2-6400 memory in the past. I've done a BIOS update to the latest version and still Windows will not boot. I know the RAM sticks are good and I can use any of them in a 2 to 3GB configuration, and load Windows fine, but once 4GB installed it will hang at the loading screen and throw a quick BSOD (much to quick to read any info); then just restart.This is a 64-bit OS so I have no idea why this isn't working, but it's obviously a Windows side issue. The hardware is good and no BIOS settings affect the hang or crash.
Safe Mode does not work with 4GB installed either and I cannot seem to set any maximum memory settings using MSCONFIG. Windows also states that only 2.00GB is usable which isn't right either... I installed the OS several months ago with only 2GB installed, but I figured adding another 2GB, using identical modules, would work just fine. i just bought a new Asus laptop a few months ago everything seemed well until it started crashing saying that it faield to initialize video drive.i tried a couple of methods using gparted testdsk chkdsk,it wont boot into safe mode but i managed to boot from cd.

my laptop is an asus k53s model with a 750hdd ntfs format i used gparted to make new partitions out of the 750hdd.
Nothing seems to work and id rather not make a clean install because i have very important files on it that i cant afford to lose.
Also when i boot into gparted i can see all partitions,but yellow triangle with a ! is shown near my C partition where i have windows installed.I have no idea what to do to make it see my C:
I recently installed a Kinivo BTD-400 usb bluetooth adapter so I could transfer files from my Samsung Galaxy s2 I727 phone. I downloaded the current installation files from the Broadcom site. At the end of installation, a message box lists several items "ready to use" (AV source, headset, etc) but three items saying driver not installed.I have new entries in device managerBluetooth Radios - Broadcom USB device and Microsoft enumerator Network Adapters - BT device personal area network and RFCOMM protocol Other devices - Bluetooth Peripheral Device entries with exclamation marks. I added my phone shows to Bluetooth Devices but it appears with an exclamation mark. I right click, troubleshoot, apply fix. Driver for bluetooth peripheral not installed. Try again. Same result.When I select a picture and click "share via Bluetooth" I get a message "image not sent." So my phone and computer see each other,but I can't seem to send a picture.

View 4 Replies View RelatedAfter installing Windows7 Ultimate x64 on a EEE PC Asus 1215B Seashell serie, the button which toggle wifi did not work anymore, like any other keyboard function keys (less importante now). When I log on I receive a message in a popup windows which says: You must install ATK0100 driver! I had installed the P4GX before noticed the problem. I've tried to install the driver downloaded from asus support site but I receive an error message in a pop-up windows, without any clue about what the problem is. Nothing is registered in Device manager, nothing is found in Registry, no file related to atk* in system32driverstorefilerepository. It's not possible remove nor reinstall, cause nothing bad remains after my failed installations. I've tried many times, with Troubleshoot Compatibility and Run as administrator (my regular user is also an admin). After executing the driver app, one command prompt appears showing the log of the installation process, and all of sudden disappear. No control about it. It's only possible to read the upper case word FAILURE before the window close. No log is found. It works when I restore the machine to Windows 7 Starter that comes from factory. I dont know how to get the drivers inside the hidden partition.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm working on a re-install of all components following a complete corruption of the boot sector on my drive which could not be fixed with repairs. The last time I installed everything fresh, I had no issues. Between then and now, there have been no hardware changes on my system, but now I am having issues installing the IDT Codecs. I keep getting an error along the following lines: Quote: ExitError: Error=Device Object not present, restart the system and run setup again. Running under compatibility mode, and running drivers from both the motherboard CD and the manufacturer website both have the same effect. The CD, when booted, says "This OS not support!" and only contains 32-bit vista codecs. ECS' website download indicates the IDT drivers as being compatible with Windows 7. Both do not work. It is almost as if the hardware "disappeared," despite the fact that I was using the drivers quite successfully till just 2 days ago, when the boot sector went kaput.
Windows has installed its own default set, which do nothing to power the 8mm jacks which I use with my speakers, but instead put sound through the HDMI, which is useless because I use a dedicated graphics card. I have tried uninstalling this codec and re-installing IDT, to no effect. I just upgraded my desktop and am running Windows 7 Enterprise 32 bit. I'm now seeing problems with my old mouse and keyboard, which have worked just fine up till now.
The media keys on my keyboard work at the moment (though didn't last night and I have no idea why). The main issue is I have two extra mouse buttons that I can't seem to assign.
Logitech doesn't have drivers for me, they say that they are incorporated into Windows 7 by default. And yes, they work, but I can't assign buttons. The software for assigning the buttons, iTouch is no longer supported and doesn't work in Windows 7.

I installed Windows 7 on an SSD and when I plug my Logitech G500 mouse into the motherboard, the mouse appears to work fine for about 30 seconds and then it freezes Windows 7. When I mean freezes, here's what happens:
-I can right click BUT i can't left click on icons, task bar, files, folders, etc.
-I have to switch between windows using TAB
-OS comes back to life only after unplugging mouse
-No setpoint installed
I tested the mouse on other computers and it appears to be working fine. I'm not really sure what the problem is as this never happened when I had Windows Home Edition x64.
I just bought my wife a new laptop. She doesn't do any heavy computing. It will be mostly used for Email, Web Surfing and watching videos. The initial set up went fine and all worked as advertised. The problem started when I went to install the driver for her external speakers. She has a Logitech Z-Cinema 3 speaker system with remote. I went to the Logitech website and located the Windows 7 64 bit driver and downloaded it. Installation seemed to complete succesfully, but now, any time I try to open up Windows Media Center, the screen just goes black and I have to kill the program with Task Manager. I uninstalled the driver and WMC workes fine. The speakers are on the Windows Hardware Compatability list.

have just had to deal with 2 lappies of mine getting the Blue Screen, now neither one will work, so here I am with a "new" hard drive with Windows 7 32 bit and I'm wanting to throw it through the window in front of me.I am using an IOGear Bluetooth adapter and I keep getting the message that a device wants to connect "click here to allow" so I do, now they want a pairing code. Does anyone here know if there is such a beast that will work so I can get on with solving the REST OF MY WINDOWS 7/STARTING OVER problems, of which there are numerous ones.ould be so very grateful if I could just get off of this lappie keyboard, which is extremely uncomfortable, not user friendly and I won't last much longer with it

Like a choppy, sputtering static noise. I'm using 'Digital Precision Headset' by Logitech. It has worked fine for me on XP, so i don't see what the problem could be. The driver sofware comes with windows, so logitech doesnt offer driver support for it. I did however un-plug/plug-in to see if windows(7) would reinstall the drivers. It did, but i still cant get them to work right. Which sucks for online gamming, because i dont have another mic to use.

the only way I got the drivers to install was to execute them in vista SP3 mode and I get a message like : these drivers are not made for this windows and then I click continue anyway, everything looks like it's working but once it's installed it asks me to plug-in the webcam and then Windows 7 looks for the drivers on windows update and once this is done I can't see the webcam on my computer, huh?
I've just installed Windows 7 and now I need to find a driver for my camera. I've got an Acer Aspire 5610; any suggestions? I downloaded one driver by suggestion (I can't remember which one), but an error came up with orbicam that it couldn't find it.

I installed Windows 7 RC 7100 on my gaming rig a couple of months ago. All was well until I got to the Logitech Gaming drivers for my Rumblepad 2 and Force Feedback Racing Wheel. Using Vista x64 drivers my system crashed repeatedly (cant recall exact error message)
The logitech website says that most Vista drivers will not have any issues with Windows 7, however I am a little apprehensive about reformatting if the problem occurs again.
My questions are:
1. Is anybody else having the same probs?
2. Is there a solution to this?(apart from not installing Windows 7)
I really liked the the look and feel of Windows 7 however not being able to use game controllers on my gaming rig sort of defeats the purpose.
