Recently installed the Win 7 x64 RC and it does not recognize my wifi card (Abit Airpace Wi-Fi Wireless Network Adapter), as in it does not show up in the device manager. It does work in vista x32, and also worked in vista x64 when I had it. I've installed the motherboard drivers to see if that would effect anything, but not change. I tried installing the software that comes with the wifi card, and it does not find the card either (no updated drivers are available on the manufacturers website either). I've searched other forums, and it seems others may have had similar problems, but they were able to get windows to recognize their card after shutting down, switching off the PSU, waiting a few minutes and rebooting. This has not worked for me. Another note, in an earlier beta of win 7 x64, the card was recognized and the drivers installed, but it would blue screen each time it connected to the internet or I tried to open a browser.
On my PC there is a card reader connected. It shows up as 4 different drives when I look at "My Computer" and elsewhere. One of the slots in the reader is for sim cards. When a sim card is inserted a Windows sound is heard and the "Installing Device Driver" window shows up but then another window stating the installation was not successful. Any further action from within windows does not solve the problem. I tried an external card reader connected via USB and the same negative results. this was tried with 3 different sim cards.
My windons 7 doesn't recognize my sim card on my reader. It says it needs wondows XP to run, so can you please help me update it on download software to get it workng properly.

just build a new computer, its running windows 7 x64 business.. and whenever i use my sd card reader it wont work unless i change the drive letter.. OR I've booted the computer with the SD card already in the reader .I've tried multiple readers all known to be working, and multiple cards.what happens is when i place the card in the reader (without changing the drive letter) drive shows activity, and the drive will become visible, but never show the card, instead it registers it as a RAW card needing format..If I go and change the drive letter and insert the card, it then works, once.. if i take it out and put it back in, no luck goes back to recognizing it as a RAW card.
I have windows 7 Premium and I have been using my onboard sound (realtek) which came with my Motherboard (ROG Maximus IV). I then purchased the Asus HDAV 1.3 Deluxe soundcard and installed in my PCI-E slot. The soundcard was not recognised by my pc at all. When I tried to install my driver, it stated that the card wasn't plugged in. I tried every PCI-E slot and eventually took it out and returned it. The shop I bought it from did prove that the card worked fine. I then purchased the Auzentech X-Fi Home Theater card. Installed that in my PCI-E slot and again it is not recognised. When I try to install the drivers it just tells me that the card isn't installed. Windows has assigned generic driver but states it is not plugged in. I have since given up (But kept the card) and have gone back to using onboard.
I have been looking for a Windows 7 driver for a NVIDIA Geforce Go 6800for an Alienware Area-51 M7700 laptop. Every driver that I download from NVIDIA's website gives me the error message during the installation that it cannot find a driver compatible with my hardware. Windows 7 has installed a generic "standard VGA adapter" which does not allow for aero functionality
I had a custom PC built for me recently by a friend. Everything was installed except the sound card. I bought a creative recon 3d fatality sound card and looked up how to do it and its pretty straight forward.. However, no matter which PCI slot i plug it into upon computer start up my computer dosnt even recognize that there is an audio output device. I tried downloading the new drivers tons of times, rebooting, uninstalling the reinstalling.. Nothing seems to work and nobody really knows why. Also tried to F2 on start up to try and switch my motherboards audio out from a default setting but it really dosnt even give me that option.
I Have an Nvidia geforce gt 220 graphics card and it works on all my games but one. The graphics card wont show up in Microsoft Midtown Madness for some unknown reason? This game was fine and worked perfectly before i upgraded my PC From XP to Windows 7. This is Strange because this game works on my dads laptop (Windows 7) and recognizes the graphics card perfect, so its not windows 7, but its not the graphics card because it worked on XP.
I have had a dual monitor setup with my laptop(Inspiron 1545 with GM45 Intel Card) extending to a regular LCD screen. It worked for two months and until recently has stopped working.I have uninstalled, reinstalled, uninstalled, reinstalled the newest drivers, changed the cables(power supply and VGA), system restored back a month to when it was working, and changed the power outlet. This originally worked flawlessly and now the laptop is not recognizing any device I attach via the VGA output. I have plugged the laptop into another monitor with no avail as well. I find it hard to believe that this would stop working one day with no notice or any problems. I have also tried attaching a projector that had worked for over a year with the laptop and have gotten nothing.
I receive a black screen as if to say this something being outputted, but nothing is displayed. Both windows screen resolution and the intel GUI both do not recognize another device. [code]
when i got this laptop with windows xp - wifi worked perfectly. I've decided to install Windows 7 Home Premium 32bit, and it stopped. I cant find ANYWHERE ANYTHING about wi-fi - not in network tab, not in device manager. I've got RTL8168D/8111D network card, laptop is Lenovo Edge 15 (302-4CG). I've checked BIOS, pressed combination of keys to turn off/on radio and installed some drivers from lenovo site (Lenovo Support - Download Drivers and Software (US)), and i still cant see the card.

the problem being is the motherboard will not recognize the graphics card with the latest drives and older ones to test, the strange thing is if i take a stick of memory out it boots up in single memory mode and recognises the card straight away, likewise if i install another module to make it 6gb it fires up perfectly and plays CODMW3 no problem but if i am doing office work after about 30minutes the screen starts to flicker and black lines appear through writing then finally the BSOD comes up complaining about one of the graphics card drivers, dont get me wrong i have played COD for ages and not had a problem, i am at a bit of a loss i want 6gb memory ideally but the system becomes unstable, the system works great as an office computer with 4gb of memory but wont play videos or do video editing because it doesnt recognize the card.
I just built a new computer with a Gigabyte Z68A-D3H-B3 motherboard but ir wont recognize my Asus GTX560 Video Card.I have checked all the bios settings and have installed all the drivers.
i've never tried to hook up dual monitors before so its probably something simple. i installed a new graphics card a while back and haven't used the original for months, and now that im trying to hook up dual monitors it wont even recognize the original in the device manager, or that i have a monitor plugged into it. both monitors work perfectly fine in the newer card slot.
My computer won't recognise my camera (Sony Cybershot 8.1) or the SanDisk card adaptor when I connect these to it. Last time I needed to download photos it opened the relevant program automatically. How can I gain access to either of these---I no longer have the installation CD for my camera or for the card adaptor.
I just upgraded my Windows XP Toshiba Satellite laptop to Windows 7 and now the sound card, and the wifi feature (where it looks for signals) does not work! Is there a way to fix this, or maybe even revert back to XP. I didn't make a back-up disc.. but if there is a way to do so, I'd like to.
have a switch box upstairs with my cable modem and a wifi router. Downstairs I have a PC that is hardwired to the wifi router. My PC has a WIFI N PCI card installed into it (was forced to use wireless connection until I had a cat 5 jack dropped). My question is, can I make the WIFI card in my PC act as a repeater to the WIFI router upstairs? Reason I ask, the WIFI router upstairs doesn't get great coverage all over my house and if possible, I would like to make my PC repeat the WIFI signal.
I have Hp pavilion dv5 1002 au Laptop that has a wifi adapter but after having done all things i am unable to create a virtual wifi hotspot so that my other devices like my android phone and ipod can connect to the inernet wirelessly. I installed all the drivers available from the Gigabyte website for some reason the wifi function simply does not work. Also, the screen plugged into the 7950 works fine but the other screen connected into the motherboard gets the message "no signal detected".
