I was updating my wallpapers from netcarshow.com a few days ago when the connection suddenly went down. I thought it was due to maintenance from their end, however, I could use the site from another location. It also doesn't work on my WiFi connection at this location also.I am using a 100Mb fiber optic line connected to an 8 port router.
I have tried:
1. Clearing cache from both IE9 and Chrome,
2. Checked for malware (Malwarebytes and Avast),
3. Checked firewall (didn't know what to look for so turned it off)
4. Turned off virus software.
5. Tried pinging the site and came back no reply.
6. Unchecked proxy option in internet options (was unchecked as default).
7. The site doesn't work on other PCs on the network.

I recently ran into a problem. I cannot access any website through any browsers (Internet Explorer 64-bit works fine). In Google Chrome I get this:Error 137 (net::ERR_NAME_RESOLUTION_FAILED): Unknown errorAll my other Internet-reliant programs (Steam, XFire, SKype, etc.) work fine, with the exception of MBAM (can't connect in order to update definitions).I've ran TDSS Killer (found nothing), MBAM (found a few things, removed all), and Microsoft Security Scanner (found a few things, removed all).
I have a mid 2010 iMac 27" 3.2Ghz i3 4GB ram 1TB hard drive space ATI HD4870.Running windows 7 x64 and OS X 10.6.6..I am using a wireless internet source from nearby, and the connection works great on OS X when I boot into windows the internet is completely un-responisive and when it does work its slower then glass (for those of you who don't know glass is technically a liquid)
I built a barebone kit and installed Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit, I installed all the drivers correctly but for some reason Windows keeps detecting the front audio jack as if someone is repeatedly pushing in and out headphones(no pun intended). Audio doesn't work at all through front and back audio jacks, only HDMI. I only get static from the audio jacks.
The laptop I'm working on (And HP G series; running Windows 7 64bit Home Premium) had a NASTY trojan that disabled the keyboard and mouse (is what I'm assuming). I was able to work on the laptop with a USB mouse and the onscreen keyboardAfter going through about 10 AV software I finally got rid of all the Trojans (the scans on various AV software ran clean multiple times after removal); but the keyboard and trackpad continue to be disabled.Under the Device Manager it lists as the device as a "code 10" error.Doing some Googling I found a post that said do delete the registry entries that were labeled "UpperFilters" and "LowerFilters"; which I did and I rebooted. Now my USB mouse OR my USB keyboard won't work.I tried using a Linux Live CD and the trackpad and keyboard DOES work there no problem. Also the keyboard works fine when I'm in the BIOS.It's only when I'm in Windows (even in Safe Mode) that the keyboard/trackpad/USB Mouse/USB Keyboard doesn't work...so it's not a hardware problem.Things I've tried (besides deleting those registry entries)- Startup Repair- sfc /scannow- Reinstall the drivers (when I DID have access to Keyboard and Mouse)So to recap; I cannot use the keyboard/trackpad (or a USB Mouse and USB Keyboard) in Windows (including safe mode); but they DO work when not using Windows.
I have a new laptop NV55C with windows 7 & 3 GB DDR3 memory 500 HD. Intel Pentium P6200.I get an email from a website I have belonged to for many years, & when I click on the link it says waiting on website, then web site not found. There is a information link to click on and it says to check the web address and A DNS and the web address might be wrong.I can move over to my wife's PC access my account click on the email link without any problems. Also some pictures do not show up in emails only a red x. What should I do?
I have started using Google Play Music for listening to music, and i would like to be able to have a shortcut for it in my taskbar, but as it is a website, i have not been able to do so. I have tried making a .bat file, and pinning it, but it doesn't have an icon which annoys me. I have tried converting said batch file to an .exe file, but it crashes for some reason.
On a couple of websites I visit I get this pop up...." An add-on for this website failed to run "After a few seconds the pop-up disappears. This has been happening for about a month now, and it does not happen on every website I visit. Can someone tell me what it means and how to stop it?
I built a website using MS Publisher 2007. Im using Filezilla to upload changes to the site. Everything works great. Except: When I use a computer which runs on Vista, and I upload the changes, all the changes are good on IE, Firefox and Chrome.
However (and heres the very strange part), when I upload the changes on a computer running Windows 7, the changes are all good on Firefox and Chrome but on IE, the menu bar down the left side doesnt show up which, of course, means that anyone viewing the site on IE cant go to other pages. Ive tried to upload the changes using another computer running Windows 7 to be sure it wasnt just my computer and the same thing happened.
There is a website I cannot connect to on my wifi connection, maybe it's my ip address? When I connect to my neighbors wifi I can connect to that site.I have tried start > run > cmd > ipconfig /flushdns.I have tried deleting all browsing data (cache cookies ect..)I have tried start > run > cmd > ipconfig /release and /renewAnd still nothing. Also I have tried unplugging my router for 5-10 mins to change my ip address and no luck there either.
I have two computers connected to a cisco router, one is connected with an Ethernet cable, and the other through wifi.the thing is, recently, i cannot access one particular website "www,timesofmalta.com" with the computer connected through ethernet, but the wifi one is ok.The computer with this problem has a win 7 OS while the other(wifi) is on win XP.I already tried dns flush command, and reset the modem(router). When using tracert and ping i got all packect from ping and tracert found the webpage. if i use a web proxy such as (Url)i can access the website no problem. I contacted my ISP, which did noy give me much help, but told me its a problem i have in my computer. Contacted also the IT guys for this website and asked them if I was blacklisted but i was told that i was not.
For some reason I am unable to access a website I have been visiting for five years. As I am editing an online magazine for the group and am in the middle of producing the latest issue I need to be able to access the artcles already posted as soon as possible. I wondered if a programme might be causing trouble and decided to try System Restore to get back to an earlier time. SR., however, will not work. I keep getting the message :failed while copying registry from restore point Error 0x80070570I can access other sites but not the one I desperately need
There is a guitar forum that I like, and I can always get on the site when I first get on computer, but after a few times, I can't get on, I will get a thing that says can't connect, with a bunch of reasons, it happens more frequently.
I have a strange problem: I cannot access websites on a certain server (Firefox gives me "Network Timeout", Windows network diagnostics says "website is online but isn't responding to connection attempts"). The problem is quite annoying since that happens to be the server that hosts my own websites. The problem is limited to this computer because I can access the websites without problem from other devices (another computer, a mobile phone) connected to the same network. That should rule out server, ISP or router problems. The problem is not browser related, because none of the browsers on this computer can access the website (I have tried Firefox, IE, Opera, Safari).
I can ping the server IP with no problem. But I cannot access the server by entering the IP to the browser (this results in the same error message -- but works fine on other devices).I can access other websites hosted by the same hosting provider on different servers. The hosts file looks ok -- it's the default Windows 7 host file.I have tried reconnecting to the network, dnsflush, rebooting, emptying caches, deleting temporary internet files, but none of this helps. This has happened a few times now, and then gone away after a while. It just starts working again. But now it's been over two days that it hasn't worked, so it seems like it might not come back at all.
I am trying to load the site MY HABIT Sign In (don't judge me, OK? lol) and it won't load at all. If I delete the cookies it places on my computer, the home page will load and it will let me log in, but it won't load any of the merchandise pages at all - it just hangs there trying to load - I never get an error of any kind. I had been using Open DNS after having some other trouble with my ISP, so I tried switching to Google DNS but that has made no difference.
I ran the flushdns.bat file as instructed in the tips for posting thread, but forgot to save the snip as a JPEG before I ran the bat file. At this point, I just want to figure out what the heck is wrong.
Up until a few days agao everything was working fine but all of a sudden I have not been able to access a certain webiste on any of our computers at home or through using our internet but if i turn off wireless on my phone i can access it through 3G and if we take the laptop to our neighbours house we can access the website.
Ive spoke to our internet provider and they have said there is nothing wrong their end, ive cleared the history and cookies etc from our computers, checked all the virus settings etc and nothing seems to be working.
how we can access the website would be great as it is pretty important we can access it.
I have a strange problem. Currently i'm running Windows 7 32bit. I surf internet on my home computer. Everything was going fine but today when i started my computer and tried to browse few sites all the sites did not load. google.com gmail.com tomshardware.com etc. loaded but facebook.com hotmail.com softepedia.com did not load. I have performed a full system scan with Norton Internet Security 2011 and MalwareBytes it detected one virus and i removed it. But still the problem persists what might be the reason?
I have 3 laptops, all of them need to access just ONE specific Website, no other sites. Infact, we dont need, any email, any sound, ...) Id prefer to remove the Hard drive and just have them boot up from a CD, That way I dont have any problems about Anti-Virus software, Hard Drive Failures, etc ... They are just outdated laptops with built in Wireless LANWhat Id prefer - is if a guy could make a Bootable CD, (either with the Windows product thats in them, or something like "puppy linux" for example) and just have a way to use something like firefox or what comes with pupply linux that could limit the access to that one single website.er yet!... an .ISO I can download from somewhere would be AWESOME! - (I was thinking about Puppy Linux, but I dont know enough about Linux to make it happen)o this with a couple of Windows 7 machines, - but I have a priority for the laptops at the moment, figured I might be able to kill 2 birds with one stone
I bought Win 7 Ultimate from a third party dealer on Buy.com that turned out have a bogus product key. Since Ultimate is installed on my computer now, can I buy the Anytime Upgrade from Home Premium to Ultimate? It's only $139, and it would seem to be perfectly honest. I had Home Premium before I installed Ultimate.
Does anyone know where I can find a piece of software that will allow me to block websites by URL and/or keywords that are applied to specific users/groups. I have to select the user/group this applies to
Win 7 home. I get:"403 - Forbidden: Access is denied. You do not have permission to view this directory or page using the credentials that you supplied."when trying to get to a ftp web site. Other user account on this machine has no problem. Both accounts are now admin; this (problematic) account was not at first. There is no firewall running, MS or 3rd party. I have added this ftp url to the "trusted sites" in Internet properties. There was a McCaffee app on this account; I removed it 6 boot ups ago.
I am a flash developer and I use swfojbect 2.0 to embed my flash pages in html. The websites all look very tiny on the screen when viewed with IE9 - it gets fixed when I press 'compatibility view' - but I don't want users to have to do that to see my websites correctly.
This problem started about 2 months ago. My computer doesn't open https:[url].... So far it's the only website that I can't open.I've noticed that if I use "https" it won't open, but if I use "http" it does.I tried opening it using safari on the same computer and I was able to open the "https" without any problem. I tried opening https on a different computer and, again, no problem. It seems that it's just a problem with my computer in particular.
