i just installed win 7 in my acer 2930.
it's look nice and fast installation.
but the problem is, when i play PES 2010, vram detected is only 64 mb.
i've try to upgrade the driver, but nothing change.
fyi, in XP, vram detected: 256 mb.
I currently have the Geforce 8600 GT 256mb <<(i think that's the VRAM not sure tho)
i can't run crysis on medium without lag....
my friend has a GeForce 8600 GT 1GB and can run crysis on High without any lag, and yes i have been to his house and personally played on his computer it is true! Don't tell me I'm lying i checked everything.
So, i can easily buy the GeForce 8600 GT 1GB but is it worth it? will it really make it so i can play crysis at-least on MEDIUM without lag on a low resolution like 1280x800 or even less. It's only $50 so even if i see a slight difference i would still buy it.
I'm looking at getting a new graphics card. I have set a budget of about $250 US. And I like nVidia.So that puts me in the GTX660 class of cards, pretty much.Now for that budget I see there are cards that have more VRAM - 3GB vs 2GB,or they have a slightly faster GPU speed and a faster shader clock. All the other specs remain the same for all cards in this class. But to get both it looks like I need to bump up to the Ti version and a $280+ budget.What do you think is the best bang for the buck? How important is any of this - or is it just splitting hairs?My primary application is CAD work using AutoCAD.

but Dxdiag and can i run it both believe i have 1.7 GB vram. so unless my ready boost is expanding that (which i don't think it could) i may have a problem. there is not much else i can add.
i have been looking through my system info i noticed that my Standard VGA adapter (the pre installed one that comes wit Win 7) has no VRAM, plz help i cant play any games i need 64mb of VRAM. I tried getting Nvidia display adapters but I cant install my working graphic driver, just the ones my comp cant support.

and intel hd 3000
i have 1632 mb shared memory and 64 mb dedicated memory what i want to know is how can i change my dedicated memory size can i increase it? in the benchmark shows intel hd 3000 in low resolousion can run pes 2013 with 35 fps but when i install the game (pes 2013) it gives an error and say you need minimum 128 mb of vram. i only have 64 mb vram so i awnt to know how can i increase i more to 128 mb?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have tried everything and exhausted my knowledge when it comes to hardware, my computer starting giving me random BSOD's, it only works in normal mode, and safe mode with networking for a short amount of time, but works perfectly fine in regular safe mode, I also let it sit in CMOS for about and hour without any reboot, I updated all my drivers which inherently has made things slightly worse (i.e BSOD's are more frequent) and it keeps spitting out different error codes the most recent one is the title and the only other one I can remember involved a "BAD_POOL_HEADER" or something along the lines of that? Also though I have manually backed up my data and have made Norton Ghost Images I would prefer not to reinstall unless someone knows how to restore just my files and programs but not the OS state. And I could not include a system health report as the Performance Logs & Alerts Service fails to run in safe mode but I have included my latest mini-dump files in the zip file attached.

Recently resolved for the second time however on an entirely different machine, an issue wherein Windows Update without any clues refuses to work -- the problem this time was fixed by uninstalling the Intel Matrix Storage Manager.The first time (again, on another machine altogether) it was fixed by installing the Intel Rapid Technology drivers.However now, I am unable to install the latter drivers (the installation throws a nebulous error message about my laptop (a Thinkpad T61p) being incompatible and exits).In other words -- I am unable to install both the Intel Matrix Storage Manager (which even is in the the "auto update software" driver list provided by my laptop manufacturer (Lenovo)) AND the Intel Rapid Technology software this time. will having none of these installed this have a notably negative impact on the performance of my system?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have been at this for about 3-4 hours trying to decrease the boot time of my computer I was able to get it from 10 minutes down to 5-6.I biggest thing I noticed is the time between the Windows animated boot screen and the actually blue login screen just shows a black screen about about 2 minutes or so. Anything I can do to decrease this? Logs, etc?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently bought a new laptop and I installed Office 2007 on it (it had already been installed on other computers before). However, pressing Shift + Tab in Word doesn't decrease indent (It does so on PowerPoint). This does so on my other computers, and I assumed it was a default function in Word 2007. I tried to customize the keyboard shortcut for it, but Word wouldn't accept Tab as a suitable shortcut key (instead of registering Tab as part of the shortcut key combination, it performed the normal Tab function and went to the next gui object). Is there any way to fix this? I can live with it, since all I have to do is make a shortcut without Tab, or just simply click the respective buttons, but the Shift + Tab shortcut is ingrained in my memory and will be hard to unlearn, especially since any other computer I use with Word will use the default shortcut.
