"Unable To Download... Unable To Open This Internet Site"
May 18, 2010I am using Windows7 and IE8 on a Dell2350. The computer was working fine till last Friday and now I can't download anything. I keep getting a message saying "Unable to download... Unable to open this internet site. The requested site is either unavailable or cannot be found. Please try again later." The dialog box itself doesn't show how big the file is or the download speed or the time left. I also keep getting a message saying a program has corrutped my program setting.

Nov 17, 2011i recieved my new lenovo z570 ideapad yesterday...i'll just put some of the spec down incase you want to know.
proccessor: intel i5 (second gen)
graphics: nvidia geforce
os: windows 7 64bit
yadayadayada...
anyway, after charging it up and turning it on, i started to install programmes and other bits and bobs. e.g ituens, flash player. just the usual essentials. i used the laptop to watch videos on Internet, genenral browing such as facebook, so in short, the internet was working fine. just before i went to bed that night i installed avg security (free version) and ran a full scan. when the scan finished, i put the laptop into hibernate, and went to sleep! happy in the knowledge my new gizmo was running smoothly!
just before i woke up i heard the laptop turn off as it had run out of charge. so i plugged it in and charged it up, then turned it on. this is where the problem starts...i connected via wifi however the logo at the bottom right of the screen showed the signal strength meter on empty, with a yellow star covering it. i clicked the icon, and it said, 'not connected, connections are available' and below shows im connected with 5/5 signal strength, but on 'limited access'.
1) there might be a problem with the driver for the local area connection adapter
2)there might be a problem with the driver for the wireless network connection adapter
there are 28 updates, but im unable to update them as i have no internet connection. i also cant connect via the ethernet cable.i cant roll back the drivers as there are no previously installed ones, and i cant update them as i am already up to date.my other laptop (acer aspire 5630 running on vista) works perfectly fine using wifi and the ethernet cable, so i honestly dont know whats wrong. after reading things on my acer about ways to fix the problem i came to the decision to restore the laptop to the time of my first installation which was adobe flash player (which i installed the day before.) i was unable to do a full factory reset as the only options available are to either restore to a backup, or re-install windows (which requires a disc, which i dont have). i also didnt configure a backup as i had only had the laptop a day!

Jan 17, 2012When I first reinstalled the windows 7 it worked fine and I was connected to the Internet using my belkin USB adapter. But after moving my computer to a new room the Internet connection stopped working. Ive ran trouble shooters over and over and it says its a router or adapter issue, but all the other computers in the house are connected to the Internet just fine. I've reconfigured everything, restored and I was told to post here!I also want to add that it connects to the Internet but after about a minute it gets the triangle with the ! I notice on the internet settings on laptop the IPv4 stated " internet" and the IPv6 states " local " on the desk top IPv4 state "internet" and the IPv6 states " no internet" upon rebooting the computer in safe networking mode I was once again able to browse in safe mode.

Mar 12, 2012I recently got Windows 7 on one of my desktops. I plugged in my Logitech 5.1 speaker system and I am getting absolutely nothing out of them. I went through the obvious checks (not muted). I was then searching my computer for evidence of the speakers even being recognized, and as far as I can tell they are not. I have Realtek High Definition Audio, and I've tried disabling/enabling this several times accompanied with a couple restarts of the computer.I understand I may need to update my drivers but at this point I'm unable to connect to the internet (Will have access in a couple days). I have searched this problem on my other computers and I'm getting mixed answers. I've heard my soundcard may not be compatible, the drivers are out dated, or I may want to use something other than Realtek.

Jun 19, 2011win 7 64 bit. all drivers updated with all microsoft updates applied. I have a Clear 4G modem.Strong signal. Other devices may connect and browse. The asus will browse great with good speed then suddenly not use the intenet. At first I thought it was a modem issue. Tried flushing the dns and winsock blah blah. Jun 29, 2011I have a wireless router "Belkin", and when I am try and access the internet I receive an error message "Server not found" this only occurred occasionally an once I would connect directly it would solve the problem. And I would again be able to go wireless. However, the problem has occurred and now persists. I am the only user/administrator. I went into safe mode when I had IE8, took possession /full control of inetcpl.cpl and ieunatt.exe under my name as administrator.Returned to normal mode tried resetting IE8. Same error as above.Ran the group policy .vbs from this web site to reset group policy.Still could not completely restore the 'reset to default'' settings completely.Everything else works. I reinstalled IE9.The BEX64 error does not show up on attempting to reset to default in IE9.
