I was looking for a problem with one of my XP laptops, was steered to it on a forum (tom's computing net) and downloaded three boot discs. Today, MSE caught the viruses and removed them from my laptop. The most severe one, I forgot to write down the name of it, but it was a password stealer. The other two (medium risk) were Tool:Win32/Angryscan.A & Remote Access:Win32/RealVNC.
These two were said to be a privacy risk or could cause computer damage. There are a whole page of boot and recovery discs here, but stay away. It took a while, but MSE fixed the problems. I'm beginning to be impressed with MSE. Usually, Avast places these files in the virus chest, but MSE deleted or destroyed them.

I've done reformatting / reinstalling Windows 7 several times, yet the problem still occurs. I'm thinking of my HDD as being corrupted or messed up. However, I soon discovered that if I boot from the Windows 7 cd and do not boot from it (By ignoring the "Press a key to boot from CD or DVD..." Windows 7 boots up fine.
I've tweaked my BIOS over and over, but the same problem persists. The drive is brand new and fine. What can I do?

Fast forward to today, I decided to reformat because the boot would get stuck in the middle of trying to boot into windows, it wouldn't flash the windows logo. I didn't think much of it so I just reformatted. This is where my real troubles began.So I reinstall windows 7 pro with no problems (the boot disk is in there the cd drive the entire time) I install my programs and what not and install my updates. All 100% Fine. Then I take out the boot disk and restart again... and I get this error message saying:

So the first time I got this error, I just thought, Oh, something must have happened no big deal, so I reformatted again and again. But I kept on getting the same exact error. It'll load into windows just fine when my install disc is in the cd drive, but when I take it out, that error pops up. *My windows is authentic, each time I have been able to validate my copy.* I have tried installing from my hard drive and from the install disc with same error.*

So how can I get windows to boot up with out having the boot disk in the cd drive...It worked the very first time I installed windows 7 on my PC...
My girlfriend & I both have Toshiba Satellite laptops; an A500 and an M500.
Her A500 needs to be restored, and the built in utility will not work. Is it possible to use the recovery disks from my M500, mainly for the OS, and then load the correct drivers from the web, for her machine?
I need a restore disk for my Toshiba Satellite C-655-S5123. I had to install a new hard drive and do not have a disk.
