I have a Gigabyte P8000 Hybrid TV Tuner, and there is a problem. When I play in Analogue TV the screen is showing only black but plays sound. The digital TV shows ok the images and the video.I tried most everything i could do, I dont think is a driver problem, because all the other functions are playing normal.

I should do the computer started it back up, turn on WMC went to live TV and all i get is a BLACK WINDOW, with sound .. but no picutre

I'm so at a lost as to why video won't work. I use WINTV7 and everything is perfect. Like to use WMC as it is had your tv listings and and quickly record what i want.
Ever since I put Windows 7 Ultimate on (about 6 hours ago) I get a black screen after boot screen, no login appears.
Black Screen:
* No Mouse
* No Keyboard
* No Screen (Duh) Its not a "Black Screen" more of a blank screen
I have attempted many fixes:
* Update Drivers for mother board
* Update Drivers For GFX card
* Batch Files in Start up (two different ones based on display)
* Updated Bios
* Remvoing all other hard drives
Things that Have Worked:
* Runing in Safe Mode
* Disabling GFX card
* Remove GFX card Drivers
This is how i came to the conclusion that my black screen is caused by my GFX card. But i dont want to have Windows 7 installed with out it (what would be the point).
My GFX card is a "NVIDIA 9800 gtx"
NVIDIA latest Drivers i have

View 1 Replies View RelatedThis Dell Vostro is 2 years old, it has Windows 7 installed. When the internal wireless card is turned on, it connects alright for about 5 minutes and then the computer will BSOD or Black Screen then restart. Ethernet works fine.It has a strange behavior history.Before reformat, I ran Malwarebytes which detected malware in Adobe CS5, after clearing that up it stopped BSODing for a day of constant use. Then the wireless card stopped working at all. Windows could not even detect it for a few days. After the Windows reformat and reinstall it started working for half a day. Had the latest Dell driver installed for it.Today it BSOD's and Black screens after a few minutes. We have to turn off the radio toggle to keep it from crashing Windows.There was liquid spill about a month and a half ago. It was about an 1/4 cup of wine, attended to promptly. Within seconds of the spill it was shut down and put in front of a dehumidifier for a few days and turned upside down. It is possible it corrupted the card or card slot, but we have no other issues with the computer. I don't suspect this but it is worth mentioning. Our next step is to purchase a new card, examine for corrosion on the slot or card, but.......I have to say I still suspect a software conflict.
What has already been done:
Reformated and reinstalled Win 7
Uninstalled and reinstalled the card drivers
Updated all service packs and win updates.
I've recently upgraded to windows 7 x86, and it works great. The only problem I have is that my ati mobility radeon 3650 graphics card doesn't seem to want to work.
I've tried reinstalling the drivers several times using several different versions of the driver (win7beta, vista32, mobilitymodded, unmobilitymodded).
Whenever I try starting up with the card enabled, the screen goes blank. After reinstalling the driver, everything but the wallpaper goes away. Can anyone help?
I recently turned on my laptop for it to constantly arrive to a black screen just before I select the user login. I read some instructions on a different forum stating that I need to log in to the computer via the safe mode and un install my display driver which is Intel(R) HD Graphics, I did this which enabled me to get back onto my original login but at a price.My driver now says that it's VGA, My screen resolution has changed, every app I use crashes constantly as well as any videos/films I play they crash, skip every minute or so.Yet if I update the driver I end up back at square one, the black screen.My laptop is an Acer Aspire 5742 with Windows 7.I've also tried the windows recovery which crashes.
