View 3 Replies1st post...I have a dell lap top and a desk top at home I use for work. I have a linksys wireless router I always use for my laptop. All of sudden today i cannot connect to the internet. I have a red X over the wifi icon. it says "not connected - No connections available". i have done all i know to do and sat on hold with dell tech support for over an hour. I always pick up 4 -8 other networks around me too, which is weird that it says none are available. I am on my desktop now, and internet is working fine. reset the router and restarted several times. I believe the wifi connection is enabled.
View 6 Replies View RelatedWhen it comes to network connections on my laptop. I was wondering if it is possible to connect to two different wireless networks, on using the wireless network connection and the other using the wireless network connection 2.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have an XP pro x32 machine on wireless with shared folders, a 7 Ultimate x64 machine (fresh install) on wireless, and Linksys Wireless/wired router (I'll get the model number later, can't remember). I've had the shares on xp set up for a long time and never had an issue with them on XP or Vista machines. The two machines are on the same router, same subnet, same workgroup (home), individually assigned IPs, and can access the outside fine. 7 does not have a "share group" set up. Whenever I access a shared folder from the 7 machine it connects fine until I start to transfer files. It will make it anywhere from a few seconds to a couple of minutes before the wireless connections on both machines are dropped. The connection problems only happen when copying shared files; I can browse shared folders or internet all I want.Side note that may or may not have any bearing: I had been having an issue where the wireless adapter didn't exist (device manager or anywhere else) after coming back from sleep. That required me to reboot to see it again. I fixed it by disabling the save power feature on the driver and disabling sleep mode.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI currently have one default WiFi connection (the card built into my Asus G74sx), but I also have another external USB WiFi adapter, a Hawking dish. I can use both separately, but I've noticed that I am often connected to my network by both at the same time. I was wondering if this has any sort of benefit: as in, does it improve speed/connection reliability/etc? Or is it the same as just having one connected?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI had no problem finding my drivers on the ASUS website, except for the Wifi drivers.
I moved my computer to another room a couple of months ago, and the old room has since changed into something else.
Running an Ethernet cable along 50' isn't really an option.
If anyone can provide me with some help with the Win7 drivers for my Wifi on my motherboard, I'd be greatly appreciative.
Windows did not show any network connections in the network connections window. I tried everything that I could find online but nothing worked. As a last resort I decided to reinstall the driver for my Intel 82566DC-2 Gigabit network connection. I uninstalled the old driver and then installed the latest drivers but now I get code 31 (cannot find the driver software) in device manager and the connection doesn't work.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI turned on my Netbook (Packard Bell NAV50, Windows 7) the other day and it would not connect to the internet. Not only won't it connect, but I can't even find any wireless networks, the icon in the bottom right just has a red cross. I'm currently using another laptop which can detect the network and next doors too so it is not a problem with the router. My PS3, phone, iPod etc also all connect fine. I've checked the fn f2 thing and that is definately on and working. Also when i click on "change adapter settings" in "network and sharing centre", it is there and is enabled and has the full green symbol icon but also has a red cross.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI am getting this message after having added two new entries to a registry earlier today. Since then, I have deleted the two entries and the problem persisted. I've also done a system restore from before the incident and that hasn't helped. Lastly I also uninstalled and reinstalled the network driver.I know my Internet isn't the problem as my phone works with he Internet just fine.
