Samsung SGH-a867 Eternity Driver Install
Thus far, this method works on builds 7057 and 7077 x64. I can't imagine it working any differently on x86. I did have to re-perform the driver reinstall (step 5+) after I upgraded from 7057 to 7077.

First: KEEP YOUR PHONE UNPLUGGED FROM THE COMPUTER

Second: Download and Install Samsung PC Studio 3.2.

The version I've downloaded was "Samsung_PC_Studio_321_GL6.exe" (MD5:

55B2561750C25BC0453DA9DDBD7DA216) for now it looks like you can still get it from here:

http://downloadcenter.samsung.com/co...io_321_GL6.exe.

Install the software.

(note: Do not download and install that new version 5 crap, PC Studio 3 is already bloated enough and it sucks we're forced to use their interface, but the version 5 came with crashing 'usb com port' services and more bloatware)

Third: Execute PC Studio's Automatic Updates

Allow it to update what it wants (at the time of this writing, it won't ask you to update to version 5) or the program will bug the hell out of you. Who knows, you can probably do fine without the updates, but I'm telling you how I got it to work.

Once complete, Close Samsung PC Studio 3.

Fourth: Plug in your Phone with the USB cable.

Windows will go Beeedoop and Baaadump. It will ask to find a driver online and it will fail. Just cancel out of everything.

Fifth: Open up the Device Manager - I shouldn't have to include this section if you're

Method 1:

Run devmgmt.msc

Method 2:

If you have "My Computer" on your desktop, Right click on it, Click on Manage, Click on Device Manager on the Left Bar.

Method 3:

Click on the Start Menu, Right click on Computer, Click on Manage, Click on Device Manager on the Left Bar.

Sixth: Install the SAMSUNG Mobile USB Modem Driver

Under Other Devices, Right click on SAMSUNG CDMA Technologies, then click on Update Driver Software.

Click on Browse my computer for driver software.

Then click on Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer.

Click on Next.

Click on Have Disk.

Navigate to Samsung's Drivers folder. For me, it was in C:Program Files (x86)SamsungSamsung PC Studio 3USB Drivers2

Select ssm_mdm2.inf

Click on OK.

If Given a Choice (I seem to remember having to choose, but when I replayed this, it only gave me this one) click on SAMSUNG Mobile USB Modem and not the other ones (I think one of them said Com Port and the other just USB drive.) They will install properly, but they won't communicate with Samsung PC Studio 3, rendering them effectively useless.

Ignore Warning. Click on Yes.

Windows has successfully updated your driver software! Click on OK.

Finally: Open Samsung PC Studio 3. On your phone, navigate to the "Main Screen" (keep pressing the End-Call Button till you get home) and in a few seconds it should say SGH-A867 connected on the bottom right. If not, click on File > Connection, then click on USB, then click on Connect.

Samsung SGH-Z810 Not Recognized
I installed Windows 7 on my toshiba notebook. Everything is fine, but I cant use my 3g modem. The samsung sgh-z810 works on vista and xp.

on xp and vista, when i plug in first time to machine, it install a virtual cd, and run setup.exe from it (it is modem's the flash ram). after setup xp and vista recognize this hardware as modem (and card reader) and works.

on Windows 7 after the first step (when setup.exe closed) the Windows 7 doesn't recognize the modem. the modem is not listed on device manager...

i read, that will works if i make virtual xp mode, but my laptop not support this mode.

i saved the drivers from XP with driver-magician, but i cant add device to the device manager. the hardware not shown in the list.

i want to "add as older hardware" to add device in device manager, but i cant use the driver .inf files. when i click on it, the device's list is empty, can't choose from the manufacturers / devices list.

i can use modem if i run virtual machine with installed XP on windows 7, but Windows 7 "alone" cant recognize this s h i t.

Modem Samsung Sgh-z810
USB modem Samsung sgh-z810 works in Windows 7.

1. connect modem to USB, install all required drivers and software (if don't work, use compatibility mode with Windows XP)

2. install VMware Workstation

3. install Windows XP on VMware Workstation

4. run XP and install all required drivers and software for modem (it's automatic)

5. now you have internet on running Windows XP on VMware Workstation

6. disconnect from internet on Windows XP

7. run connection manager on Windows 7

8. and now trick, add new HW (VM>Settings>Add>Network Adapter>Host-only>Finish) Network Adapter

9. wait few seconds and connection manager find modem on windows 7 (WTF?)

10. now, you can connect to the internet using connection manager in Windows 7

11. close VMware Workstation and enjoy ;-)

I don't know how it's possible, but it works! Cheers!

Samsung SGH Z810 Compatibility
Is someone using samsung sgh-z810 usb (3G, HSDPA), modem successfully with windows 7?

I am trying to use it on my MSI WIND U-100 notebook.

Windows 7 is running well on the notebook, I have no other complains or hardware issues. I am running the official evaluation copy Build 7100 downloaded from Microsoft.

The modem installation consists in the following steps: (For testing purposes I've installed successfully under XP and Vista, the modem is working well)

1 - Plug in the modem in one of the USB slots
2 - The hardware is recognized as CD-drive (this is normal)
3 - The autoplay function starts, installing setup.exe - which installs Samsung's connection manager software
4 - after the installation of the connection manager software the system recognize the modem part of the device and installs the drivers from the "CD"-drive (from itself)
5 - after successfully install, the connection program runs from the pc and that's all.

Under Windows 7 I can do the install until the step 3 - installing the connection manager software.

In order to solve my problem I already did the following:

- installing from the scratch (one by one) using the compatibility mode set to all of the XP-modes and all of the Vista modes - also running as administrator.

No matter whatever I did, the system is not recognizing the modem part of the device (it is not included in the list of the devices - not even like unknown device)

I would be more than happy if someone could help me to solve this problem

PS: I did search for upgraded samsung software and drivers, but I couldn't find anything the device is not even listed on samsung's web-pages.

I purchased the modem from official Hungarian mobile service provider.

Support For A Samsung, Eternity SGH-a867
I was using Samsung's PC Studio to sync my Eternity cell phone with Outlook but they are not going to support Windows 7 with a USB driver. I have set up my computer to run in XP mode but still cannot connect my phone. I guess if I can't get this to work I will have to buy a new phone running Windows Mobile. How do I get my computer to recognize my cell phone's USB port in XP Mode?

Samsung Monitor Driver
I've had an ongoing problem with this for some time now. You can see here that my Device Manager tells me that I'm missing a video controller, and also in that post is my inability to watch full screen videos online. Here, I talk about the problems I've had with my display driver crashing.

Now, yesterday I downloaded Photoshop, and as it opened, a window popped up saying that my "monitor Profile" is defective and needs to be calibrated (See first attachment). If I choose to Ignore Profile, I can use Photoshop as usual, but everything I export has an irremovable yellow tinge. If I choose to Use Anyway, there is no white in Photoshop's color pallet, only the same yellowish color.

This got me thinking for the first time that my monitor was the cause of my problems, so I searched online for Samsung 2243swx drivers. On their webpage, they had up for download only one driver, which is for a VGA graphics card (See second attachment). I've been running a PCI graphics card (NVIDIA GeForce 8400 GS), and I was wondering if this could be the problem.

Would you say I ought to buy a VGA graphics card?

I have a Samsung ML-2510 that I recently purchased and I can not get it to work with Windows 7.  I have tried the xp driver and the Vista driver running in vista compatibility mode as an administrator and have had no success.  The reason I bought this printer was because my older hp deskjet 3745 would not work with Windows 7 and it had no vista driver so I ran it in compatibility mode and it also did not work.  Both these printers work fine in xp mode.  I would like help with the samsung primarily but also with the hp.

Samsung Vista GDI Driver Install Crashes
I have a nice Samsung ML4500. Not that new, but then I don't use my printer very much. But it is useful at times. So... I have the Vista ML4500 GDI driver installation package for it. I run it by right clicking in compatibility mode.I've done this three times now. The first two times, it crashed my machine dead as soon as the Samsung splash screen appeared.

Video broke up, screen blanked and then only a hard reset fixed it.Third time, despite same compatibility mode operation, the Samsung installer just tells me that the driver is incompatible with this version of windows.

Unfortunately, since it's a prepacked installation in an exe file, I can't get at any of the real files, inf, sys etc to see if I can by pass the installer's front end.I've also tried the Vista GDI drivers for other similiar models, which give me similar results. If anyone has any ideas on how to resolve this, other than approaching Samsung which I think is likely to prove unproductive, I'd love to hear from them!

Edit: now, from another post, realised how I can unpack the driver set from the installer. I've done this, but the raw setup.exe still crashes win 7...  I've now also tried the right click on the inf file in the Vista 64 subdir of the install package, but it tells me this method of installation is unsupported.

Modem Driver Problem / Samsung Rant (M540) Phone
i just installed Windows 7 64bit. I use a Samsung Rant m540 Cell Phone for my Internet connection. I cant get high speed on my road so its alot better than dial up, anyway ive used it for a few years and now i cant seem to get it installed. It works fine on other comps and i had a driver for win xp 64bit that works. I got it installed on the windows 7 and it shows up as the modem and says its working properly but it wont respond when i try to query the modem or connect to the Internet.

Im pretty sure i just need a driver for the windows 7 for the phone as modem. But Sprint does not have a driver or program which supports it and neither does Samsung which created the phone. I googled for at least 5 hours with no success ive tried a few different drivers and no luck.

Driver For Sata Seagate 120Gb And Sata 2 Samsung 200Gb
I´ve been having some troubles with seeing my usb storage devices in win 7 x64 ultimate edition. Those are 2 usb flash drives, i-pod as well as external hdd-s. every other usb device like wireless mouse/kbd, scanner, digi-cam have been directly recognized and installed by windows. The storage hardware has been also recognized, as i can see it in the device manager (right name and model and so on) but installation of driver fails.

As response i get error code 32 (Device Status: "A driver (service) for this device has been disabled. An alternate driver may be providing this functionality. (Code 32)"). I´ve been searching the problem in different forums for days, but haven´t found any solution yet :(

DLNA Samsung TV
I have a Samsung LN40A750 TV and apparently for the "A" versions you can no longer get the linkstick. I ordered a "B" version of the linkstick but it didn't work (it said it wouldn't but I figured I'd try it anyway).

In the end I settled on purchasing a Linksys WET610N Wireless bridge. That worked as the TV has an IP address and I can use WiseLink to see the content being shared from the computers on my network.

The PLAYTO feature in Windows is what really want to work with this lashup but the TV is not recognized by Windows 7 as a device.

Any thoughts on how to get the TV to be recognized as a device while connected to the bridge? Is this something provided by the linkstick for this TV?

BTW, it does identify the WET610N wireless bridge as a device in Windows.

I have a Samsung Omnia 2 phone. It too is DLNA compliant and I can PLAYTO that device.

Samsung R60 Drivers
I was wondering if Samsung have released drivers for the R60 laptop that are fully functional in Windows 7, when I installed Windows 7 I had to search for all of the drivers myself, I was given a disk with the laptop but it only works in Vista. When running a benchmark test, the graphics were much better in Vista because I dont think I can find the right driver for the graphics card in Windows 7.

Also, a lot of the Fn buttons dont work anymore, for example changing the brightness, turning off the display, showing the battery level on screen, etc. I assume this is done through the chipset driver which I never had to install or even looked for.

Also, one last thing, with my graphics card on Vista I get a little ATI icon in the notification area, along with the Catalyst Control Centre, although I never get this in Windows 7.

24 Samsung HDMI And Sound
The sound was working on my SAMSUNG and I was trying to temporarily disable it, so I would not distrub my housemates.... So I clicked "disable" on the control panel Sounds gaget, thinking this would temporarily turn it off, like it does within the Networks gaget (I turn off wireless at work, and network port at home).

Well it did not temporarily disable it, it deleted it from the system. I have managed to get it to see the HDMI TV at 1080p resolution, but sounds

don't work on the TV since I clicked disable.

I have tried every setting on the control panel, such as sound devices, graphics, displays, tried the "find a device" all to no avail. How do I enable the sound for the samsung?

Samsung LN32A650 Problem
I have seen some people having problems with Windows 7 and HDTVs with ATI RADEON Cards. This problem seems to occur with NVDIA Cards too.

The problem is when you use the VGA connection on the 1920 x 1080 HDTV, the TV will come up with a MODE NOT SUPPORTED message and go blank.

One solution that was proposed was to use the older ATI 8.9 CCC software.

I tried this and after the first reboot it worked fine. When I shut down the computer after that, Win 7 said it was installing an update.

On the next bootup the MODE NOT SUPPORTED message came up again.

I can get Win 7 to run on this TV by using the HDMI but it has the following issues:

Screen size at 1920 x 1080 is only 2/3 full screen. No way to adjust on the TV.

Display quality -such as text sharpness, is much worse than the VGA mode.

Can anybody point me to a solution?

Equipment Used:

Biostar Motherboard
ATI RADEON 4850 Video Card
