Run 16-bit Programs From A Command Line
Since DOS 2.0 I have written and collected command line programs. Many do things not possible without command line support. Such as run an Assembler and editor from a .BAT file (I use A86 if you want to search for it) to created and run handy small .COM programs. But none of these 16-bit programs work on my Vista 64-bit. A friend has the same computer I have, but with Vista 32-bit and he verified a few of my .COM programs worked fine. ? Would I be able to install Win 7 32-bit and run them?

Will My Old Computer Run 7 ?
I knoew this isn't the easiest question to answer. Nor is it really a yes or a no. But I have a old computer that is running a PII I think from socket 423. It is old. Have a 128mb. Video card some no namer, and a 80gb hard drive. I am not fully sure of the ram. But the pc runs windows XP fairly well. It is a little slow at times but for the most part it runs pretty well.. it has a virus that I can't figure out. I was thinking i'd load windows 7 to it and just format the drive.. I just worry about finding the drivers for the motherboard and the graphics card.. Basically I am asking if it can run windows 7 ok if it runs XP pretty well??

Run Different Language Programs
How do i keep the OS in English, but run another program as a different language There should be an option to have a program always run as a set language I would like to be able to run an English, Japanese and Korean program side by side, not reset the computer just to run one app. I Know about applocal, but some times it does not cut it and the program fails to run properly. Windows should let me run a program from any country, not just one at a time.

Run Time Error: 75
After installing windows 7 7100 on my PC, everything went just fine, But, after a sudden shut down, my PC restarted, How to resolve this issue? Program does not have rights or access to a file. Often this is caused when a program is trying to access a network file it doesn't have proper access to either because of network privileges or something is blocking the program. This issue can also be caused when the file is being used by another program or is read-only.

The Simplest Way To Run Three Monitors
It seems like all I ever see is a bunch of geek double-speak, whenever I look at these "question and answer" sites when it comes to hooking-up three monitors. Can anybody out there put it in VERY simple terms. What I would like is one HD picture monitor and two normal. I have a 26" Samsung HDTV, Dell 19" HDTV, and a Dell 19" traditional (square) monitor. I bought another video card (NVIDIA Geforce 9600GT XFX) just so I could have the additional two monitor outputs. Well, I get this thing and find out I have to remove the video card I already have in order to install the new one! It is like robbing Peter to pay Paul. The card installed has a HMMI, DVI, and the other one, whaever its called. So it has three outputs, but I guess I can't use them, or so I was told. On top of that I have to hook it up (the new video card) to extra power and I have no idea where I am supposed to get it. I am very frustrated by all the crap. I have a Dell Studio E5200 computer, nothing too special. I really don't need anything too special, I just want the convenience of having three monitors and can not understand why it is so hard.

Cannot Run 64-Bit DVD
I wanted to install 64-Bit. I had to install 32-Bit because I could not run the DVD from boot. I was getting the driver not found error, so I had to run the setup starting from WinXP 32-Bit. Since my drive didn't work anymore after install Win7, I assumed that was the reason I was getting driver not found. I have a drive that works with 7 now, but I can't run the 64-Bit DVD at boot. It just goes to a black screen telling me to restart, insert install CD, and choose repair. Do I need to completely remove 32-Bit before trying to run the 64-Bit DVD?

Computer Wont Run Issues
Ok I know this isn't exactly windows 7 discussion, but I have tried everything and figured I should come here for help, I was going to just replace the motherboard, but it's a friends computer, and they can't afford to replace it.. Ok, so when I started working on this computer it was running Fedora, and it's biggest problem was random shutoffs, and slow performance. I found out the CPU was getting up to 90C, causing the computer to shut down to protect itself. I took off all the heatsinks cleaned them, and applied new thermal paste. It helped a lot, but was still running way too hot.. So I went back to the BIOS and discovered the CPU was overclocked by just 200MHZ, but had a MUCH higher voltage than it should have. this was with it's automatic settings.. This is when I start to realize I'm dealing with the motherboard from hell .. Ok so I fix that issue, and my friend wants me to install windows. I stick in the XP CD, choose boot from CD drive.. and it boots from the hard drive.. so I hook up an external CD drive, it works. windows installs then I log on, and it BSODs.. I try again with a different copy of XP. BSOD again.. Try it with 7, computer keeps rebooting at the welcome screen. So I try Ubuntu and it works. I install a video driver and then I get no video signal.. so I switch to onboard and it works! then it doesn't work.. for no apparent reason, the computer shuts off.. I tested the video card in my computer, and it worked fine. so I put back, hook the monitor back up to the card, and it works again >.< ok.. so Linux works now, but I want to get windows on that thing, I have tried swapping RAM, Power supply, Video card, unplugging everything except the hard drive and video.. no luck.. still BSODs. So without windows XP I can't flash the BIOS, at least not without doing it the old school way with a floppy and moving jumpers and stuff, and I don't have a floppy disk, or a drive in my other computer to make the boot disk with. I was told this computer was built by some friend of her brothers friend or something, and it's obvious he used the cheapest hardware he could find to build this piece of crap, every component in the system is some off brand.

Refusing To Run A Beta Driver
I am trying running a beta version of a driver for a Nova Tuner stick but windows reports: Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52) I know about the disable digital signature enforcement option in F8 menu but its a bit of a hassle having to reboot every time you want to use the stick. Is there a way to make windows accept this driver permanently?

Run As Admin And Network Drive
I have a Drobo set up as a network drive -via droboshare - everything works fine, however applications (specifically backup software, drobo copy or Bonkey) cannot see the dirve which is mapped to z: when the application are set to run as administrator. Drobocopy requires this so turning it off is not an option. Bonkey doesn't but I am having issues running it and I think turning it on might help. Any ideas? I have tried turning off my firewall but that hasn't helped.
