Hey Tom's! I hope everyone is well. I'm returning to the community with a problem I was having before. I have just upgraded from Windows 7 RC to Win 7 32 bit Enterprise Edition with no problems. Did a fresh install and had it formatted.
Just got my first BSOD/crash, and I had been having regular crashes (about once every 4-5 days) I don't think it's hardware related, probably driver, so I was hoping people could help narrow it down and kill this problem for good.
Here's the text of the BSOD:

When I shut down my VPC at the end of the day after a good few hours use, it causes a BSOD of the laptop reboots.
The error is something along the lines of "An application attempted to release a resource that did not belong to it", that isn't the exact phrase but something very close to it.
Edit: It's done this a few times now, the second it's finished shutting down. One thing I have also noticed is that I can't shut it down correctly too, it informs me that the VPC is locked. So I have to shut down via the task manager, maybe this is what is causing the problem?

Been regularly getting BSOD with STOP message of ntfs for a few weeks now. I have attached the zip file and also a screenshot. I am running Windows 7 Home Premium x64 retail upgrade. Installed about a year ago. The original operating system was Vista ultimate. I have upgraded the motherboard driver today and haven't had the BSOD since (touch wood) but not 100% that it was that.

This BSOD has been happening more regularly, sometimes after 30mins, other times after a couple of hours. If I try and restart it crashes shortly after Win 7 logo appears.Unless I disconnect the power for at least 15mins, it won't restart Windows - just re crashes.Have attached the dump and sysdata files - note that the two files are not always written.

Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit (retail) installed for about a week.
I am trying to troubleshoot regular BSOD's on my system. They seem to occur during HD video playback (XMBC) or under other system load like downloading large files (from newsgroups) where the speed is fairly high (apx. 2mbps).
I recently replaced my single core CPU for a dual-core thinking it may help, but it didn't. Now, I'm wondering if it could be the memory. I did the windows memory check, and it reported errors, but I don't where to find the log or what to do next.

I built my own computer last January and installed Windows Vista first and everything worked fine but then I upgraded to Windows 7.In the beginning it worked great, I did get the common problem of every kind of browser crashed every couple of hours and sometimes refused to load up again but i persist and put up with it.Then over the past 3-4 months, I have been getting regular BSOD - They used to be very similar screens and i am not fast enough to jott down the error codes sadly.I maybe receive 2-3 BSoD everyday and the most common issue i am experiencing is when i play World of Warcraft - since these BSoD began, this has been crashing a hell of a lot as well. I cant get an hours play on it without it crashing with the same issue.I put it to the forums with this error log Wow Crash 2/1/13 - Pastebin.com and was told to carry out some actions to see if this could resolve the matter which it did for a very short period of time (ie a day) and then came back with its constant WoWcrashes and BSoD
The BSoD happen when im on and off the game - a lot of the time its when a lot of processes are running, ie several tabs open in my browsers, spotify playing and maybe a couple of folders open - its as if it cant handle it running.I have tried to search for my dumplogs, i was told it was in %systemroot%minidump but its empty and there are no .dmp files on my computer except warcraft ones.

I started getting BSOD two weeks ago. As far as I can remember the first time I had a BSOD was on the day I installed Max Payne 3 (I read somewhere that the some guy had also this problem when he installed max payne). There were two occasions that I got a BSOD upon starting Max Payne 3. But lately I'm getting BSOD when doing low-load stuffs like browsing with no other apps opened. I've already done memtest with 10 passes with no errors. I'm 24 hours prime95 stable. I just don't get it! I've manually set my timings for my ram. I'm not doing any overclock. Everything is on stock settings.

I attached the minidump file and was wondering what caused the BSOD. I was playing Call of duty 4 while on Team Speak and at the same time recording the game with the in-game record function during an online tournament.

I keep getting the blue screen of death when playing EA Battlefield 3. Whilst playing it seems fine, but after 30-60 minutes I will eventually get a blue screen. I have no other problems playing any other games, and I never get blue screens, its only since playing this game.

I get blue screens ONLY when I Play D3, I can play it but at random times it crashes 15min-2h usually. I have re-installed D3, tried different drivers and lots of other simple stuff like memtest etc. But cant seem to get it right. About PC, I've built it myself and it has been doing this since I started playing D3. Other game I have played is Wolf Team and its not crashing. One thing I have noticed from forums is that my TP-Link Usb router have caused problems also. Its hot as cup of coffee when in use, and I already contacted TP-link about it. Just to know is that normal. This error I can find from Event Viewer. ALWAYS there when I get BSOD. So could be the reason but no idea how to fix.

Every so often I get a BSOD while playing Guild Wars 2. I have done trouble shooting like stopping unneeded tasks and turning off unneeded services.I have ran memtest and ran Prime 95 for 12 hours straight with no issues. Both times were with overclocking and without. So far I have only seen the issue with GW2.

Often, when I start up a game, it decides to crash my whole system resulting in a blue screen. Do note, however, that it has also crashed when not in a game, but only once or twice. My first thought was the ram, as it was and is giving a lot of memory errors, so I ran memtest for over 10 hours with no failures. My next thought was the CPU, so I ran prime 95 on blend and small ftt tests for over 8 hours which also proved to be stable. Next was the HDD, and I did everything from examining the SMART info to a long generic test. GPU was my last hope, but Furmark doesn't phase the card, and I even ran MemtestG80 which supposedly tests the GPUs memory as well. I do realize these tests are not the end all, and there could be a problem with any one of them that the tests didn't find. I have also reinstalled Windows Something curious happened when I ran memtest the other day. I had one stick in and left the room for a few minutes, only to come back to 7k+ errors. This was it I thought, I finally found out what was causing it. I wanted to test it again to make sure it wasn't a bug in the software, but it ran for 8 hours with no errors. So I'm lead to believe it's the ram, motherboard, memory cache, or psu. I am leaning away from the psu based on the fact that I get lucky and am able to play Skyrim on Ultra with no issue.I have attached several recent minidumps for anyone who is able to understand such things.

I never get the bluescreen doing anything but playing games and it's not often but it happens about twice a week. It crashes and WhoCrashed or Bluescreen view always points to ntoskrnl.exe or ntkrnlmp.exe or hal.dll it's always two of those 3. Other than games it runs fine. I did all the memory tests for 3 days and tried the best I could re-seat stuff. It's an alienware so they have it all secured in a way that makes it difficult to get around, and the case weighs around 105 lbs or something crazy.

First off I have a newly built system.....i7-2600K 4.4 GHz, 8MB Corsiair Dominator 1600 MHz, EVGA GTX 590, Asus P67 Sabertooth MOB, all water cooled....need a say more?As the title says I am gettign random BSOD's while I play BF3. I always seem to get a "BF3.exe has stopped working" message during everygame, and the game crashes. I have re-installed everything so that did not work. I've done a little research and this seems to be a reacurring issue with a lot of people and seemed to happen after the first patch came out for the game.I've ran an analysis on the dump files and it seems to be a "ntoskrnl.exe" file that seems to be cuasing the BSOD's.

My system had BSOD in the past but I managed to fixed it by dusting out the computer. Since then it has been running pretty smoothly with no problem. BSOD came back several days ago and I have no idea what is causing it. This usually happen when I'm playing WOW but also when I'm sleeping, woke up in the morning and the computer restarted (wow wasn't on). I have attached the dumps and the necessary files.
