I don't know if hp laserjet 1600 is capable of postscript printing or how to get my livescribe pen program (which requires a postscript laser printer) to print pages to it.I am running windows 7 Home Premium, Livescribe Desktop. When i try printing it just says error, but no mention of what the error is.
Repeatedly, over several days, while trying to add a printer laserjet printer, when I click the Windows Update button I get the message,Windows was unable to get a list of devices from Windows Update. Please try again later. Nothing else, no error codes.
This is the second clean install of Windows 7 (I had to do the second because the first clean install failed to include the system protection tab for System Properties) and has consumed a better part of a three days!
What's the problem fix?
HP does not provide the drivers (says they are included in the Windows Vista installation which is not much help for a Windows 7 install).
Is there another source of the drivers or can they be extracted from the Vista package?
I used the Vista driver on my Win 7 machine. The printer does work, but sometimes I have to actually shut down the PC to get the page to complete printing and eject the sheet. This happens pretty much every time when printing from a networked machine. Does anyone else see this behavior?
Advertised to run 1.65v 9-9-9-27 at 1600 MHz. I've tried bumping up voltage and QPI to no avail. Will run at 1600 MHz for usually less than an hour before the computer shuts off. No BSOD, no errors, just shuts off.
I have a lsi megaraid 1600 elite scsi card which is not being dected by windows 7 64bit. I have tried several drivers packages for server 2003 and 2008 but it doesnt work. Lsi does not list visa drivers for this card on thier site. Does anyone have any suggestions.
I have Window 7 RTM w/ WMC & I got a HVR-1600 tuner card for Christmas. It was working fine for about 4days & then yesterday the video & audio started to stuttering, fast forwarding to catch up with the feed & then the video & audio will just stop playing. I have tried to roll back my system to an earlier time, I uninstalled a couple programs (ImageMixer & some others programs that I got with a camcorder) with no luck.
I also installed Media Center Decoder Utility to change the decoder & this made things worse, instead of stuttering & fast forwarding, it gets me an error message saying; video Decoder is not working, not install or not supported. I tried to change it back & it still gives me the same message.
Does anyone know how to repair this; it would be great to use my $120 tuner card again.
i'm just looking for softwear for the laserjet 1600 printer for windows 7 , becuase i lost my CD driver and i can't find the softwear in the internet , so can you tell me from where i can download it from the internet.
System is HP desktop running W7-64 bit. Printer is HP Photosmart 7350, old but working perfectly until 2 days ago. Driver is Deskjet 5550 (closest one for this printer).
I've reinstalled the driver, plugged and unplugged the printer, and tried to print from different programs. As soon as the print button is selected the error condition shows in the Devices & Printers section. This happens whether the printer is turned on or not.
My office printer, HP Color Laserjet CM6040mfp, prints nicely when I just print "normally" from Word or Excel. When I try to automatize it with a .bat file, it doesn't work. I have x64 Windows 7. Another computer has x86 Windows 7 and it works nicely.
The error I receive is: "Operation could not be completed (error 0x00000705). Windows cannot locate a suitable printer driver.Contact your administrator for help locating and installing a suitable driver." So what do I need to install? The actual thing I'm trying to do is to print out test pages from several printers using a VBA script. This CM6040mfp happens to be the closest one to my room so that's the one I begin with.
when I go to print a document, sometimes the save window opens up and no matter what I do it will not print. I have a document save in a certain font size and when i try to print it the font increases by itself and its too big for the page.
I have Epson LQ-1150 II Printer. My computer is named GIR and my printer is shared as EPSON.I used commandNET USE LPT1 \GIREPSON /PERSISTENT:YESI used my printer with this command for 1 month then my my machine got infected with VIRUS and I had to format it.Now I am unable to create a batch file and also when I enter this command the computer asks user name for "GIR". I have been struggling for days to find a solution with an annoying printing problem on my new Windows 7 (64bit) HP Laptop. I can not print from my HP Laptop to any printers on my older XP Desktop wirelessly over my home network. I can open files from my shared folders on my XP desktop from my Windows 7 Laptop, etc. I can see all of the printers when I "Add a Printer" - but it tells me that:
"Windows can't find a driver for Canon iP4300 on the network."
I cannot find a driver manually and have installed a Windows 7 compatible driver for the iP4300 on my Laptop, etc. - no luck.
When I connect the same XP Printer directly to my Laptop by USB cable - it prints find. But, I can't seem to find a solution to my wireless problem.
All of a sudden my printer isn't "connected" to my laptop...it says "it's offline" I've NEVER worked "offline" and I need to print some important information out to FAX to my ins. co. asap
Whe I map LPT1 as follows from the DOS prompt:NET USE LPT1 \computernameprintersharename LPT1 remains available for a short while whether used or not after a short while is becomes Unavailable.
Some things (google map or mapquest map for example) print VERY faint. other things are ok. come to think of it, I am printing a selected part of the page, in case that is relevant. other test files are ok.
I am using a new Dell computer with Windows 7. I am trying to print PDF files with a Xerox 7750 printer. I have downloaded the Xerox driver to the new computer, the printer is connected via USB. Each time I try to print the PDF file(s), they do not print on the entire page (8.5x11). All data on a page is printed but it is printed as a 1/2 page and in landscape, not portrait. I have tried to adjust the printer settings via Windows 7 (print window) but cannot get the document printed correctly.
I have a wireless connection from a Win 7 Pc to a XP printer (HP 1006). I can print from the XP to the Hp P1006, easily. But from the Win 7, it takes from 30 to 60 seconds. I think I need a Win 7 printer driver, but where do I put it?
Certain things I do on my computer take a very long time, such as printing. This all started about a week or so ago. Each step of the printing process (choosing a printer, changing print settings, sending the print job) now take 5-10 minutes when they used to be nearly instantaneous.
I've noticed slowness for some other functions as well (of course, I can't remember specifics at the moment) but it is most pronounced when printing (from any program). It *might* have started happening after either the Windows update or Adobe update that came out recently. At one point, I was giving a presentation and my computer completely froze for all local functions except switching tabs. The Task Manager showed nothing unusual and one of the tabs had Citrix loaded and I was able to use that just fine.I have a Dell Latitude E6410 running Windows 7. At the above linked thread I ran several scans that all came back negative for viruses or malware, so there must be some setting out of whack or another conflict.
