I am having a problem while playing movies in AVI format. Video stop for a couple of seconds after every 3 or 5 minutes. My drivers are up-to-date. Having a laptop with high specifications...so no problem about low specifications and same movies run perfectly on other laptops.

my computer did have BSOD problem since I've tried to add 2 GB of RAM on my Windows XP SP 3 on October 2011. BSOD came out after playing a game for 6-30 minutes (or game application crashed) or viewing a video (random occurence). After getting no results of all to cure BSOD, I decided to change my OS to Windows 7 and I still got this problem. I've tried to bring my CPU to service center with no luck at all.
Here, I attached my recent dump and perfmon report with it. Although a few hours before I post this thread, I cleaned earlier dumps with CCleaner. I'll be sure to attach new dump and report if another BSOD occurs. And let me know if my attached files get corrupted or cannot be read. Attachment 214777 Attachment 214778
Oh yeah, another thing, my antivirus scanner detected BSOD & System File Collection app as a virus, so I ignored it.

Recently after I tried to add another cooling fan into my NZXT phandom case my pc would turn on and freeze. Sometimes before the windows logo even comes on my mouse and keyboard lights would turn off. I have since disconnected the extra cooling fan but the problem did not go away. I have checked my temperatures and they are not very high. My only thought on this problem is that when I also tried to add a 2nd extra fan (which did not fit well with its clamps due to the graphics card being right below the location) onto my north bridge which at some time had a heat problem as all with this motherboard do but was fixed with a cooler. In trying to add the 2nd fan I might have moved the cooler slightly and messed up the thermal paste connection. However I am not completely sure because my temperatures seem normal and are not in the high range. The only problems or hints I can see are the freezing after several minutes after startup, not reaching the windows logo at all, and my mouse and keyboard lights not turning on when the pc does not reach windows logo before being a black screen.

Using itunes is especially problematic because i will be listening to music and every thirty seconds the music will stop and continue, etc. I use Avast! free for protection and I have done every scan without them finding a virus, however they do get a couple of files they cannot scan and each time they are different files. I am not very tech savvy so I have no clue how to go about searching for the fix, however while searching through google i did find a lot of people had this problem with windows xp.

My Homegroup stops working after a couple of hours i have to reset my modem for it to work. After it stops working and in my network for example one of my laptops doesn't show that its there and I don't know whats wrong I tryed going to HomegroupTroubleshoot problems but it still doesn't fix it.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI have come over to the UK to visit family and my work laptop cannot browse for more than a couple of minutes at a time. Chat clients all work without issue, Dropbox doesn't have a problem. The Cisco VPN client connects happily when it needs to. Just the browsers stop being able to resolve IP addresses.I am connected to wireless correctly, I get an IP (192.168.0.6) from the router (192.168.0.1). DHCP provides the DNS without issue. I can ping the router and the ISP DNS servers...but still no joy.I managed to get some joy when running ipconfig /flushdns everytime it stopped. But this is inconsistent.Firefox, IE and Chrome all work for a couple of minutes after a reboot and then just stop being able to browse. As I said, when it stops, I can still ping everything listed above comfortably..but no host names resolve.My Android phone connects seemlessly and doesn't drop out. I am typing from my parents laptop at the moment..no issues, my brothers laptop, no problems.
Every device seems to work without issue except my work laptop, which I use wirelessly at home, in hotels, starbucks...you name it, I can use it no problem.I have removed the connection and re-added.I have connected via standard WPA2 key and last night tried via WPS. Each time, the laptop connects without issue, all of my messengers connect...2 minutes into browsing the web...DNS stops resolving. I even added Google DNS servers and set a manual IP...same issue each time.I found the Winsock Fix for Windows 7, applied it and restarted. So far so good...obviously, I will come back if it fails again

I did everything you were supposed to, charged it up, discharged it, charged it again, etc.For some reason, i can just be playing or doing things on my laptop, and it'll randomly just lose ALL power. For example, i was playing a video game the other day and was at roughly 65% battery, and suddenly the computer just instantly died. And i don't know if any of you have seen an asus, but there is a little light on the panel with the power button for like a "quick start", and that light is ALWAYS on. but when the laptop died it wasn't. Which i take it means absolutely no power was going to the laptop.
View 9 Replies View RelatedMy laptop has been having some issues lately but I cannot figure out what is wrong with it. I have ran anti-virus and malware checks but both have come back negative. The main issue is whenever a video is playing or something using flash is running, it goes very slow. Most recently, I've been trying to watch a movie that is on my HD, not online and every couple minutes it kinda freezes but either plays the audio very slow or repeats one second of it on loop while the video is frozen. Another issue I've had is with flash games online, those are pretty much unplayable and yes I've cleared all cache, cookies, browser history and am still having the issue. So it appears most of my issues are video related but I'm not sure how to check what's wrong with it.

View 11 Replies View Relatedmy internet stops working for ~30 seconds multiple times a day. I am using Time Warner Cable with a Motorla SBG6580 modem and Asus RTN56U router and a wired connection. When it drops the internet access icon in the bottom right doesn't change (no yellow exclamation point) and sometimes when I run the troubleshoot internet connections it will come back with "the DNS server isn't responding. The other computers in my house don't seem to have the problem. My computer uses a wired connection and am running Windows 7.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm using a decent Lenovo B560 laptop, and when playing games or running programs linked to the hard drive disk, it freezes intermittently.
Not sure what's causing it, but the whirring of the disk drive can be heard for about 3 seconds, at which point it slows down, and then the game freezes until the hard drive starts whirring again. It doesn't seem to be able to keep itself running in order to keep playback fluid; it just keeps spinning long enough to power 3-4 seconds of playback.
System is 7 64 bit, with Intel Core i5 CPU M480 @

I purchased two 128BG USB Flash drives from Ebay that came from China, so i know they are not the best quality. But this is really weird. On one of them can only play four movies, if i copy a fifth movie or more, none of them or al of the rest will not play. The other USB is the same, but that one can hold and play nine movies not more. I tried formatting them the fast way and the long way.

View 3 Replies View RelatedA few months ago I built my first PC. All parts were brand new, except the graphics card. I couldn't afford the one I wanted so I used an old Radeon HD 4670 - a card that doesn't match the rest of the system in power.Maybe a week ago, I started getting blue screens. At first I'd be able to use the computer for hours before the BSOD. It would generally go by too fast for me to read what it said, though I caught a few error messages, which I will post below. I'd say about 5 days ago is when it became unusable. Sometimes I get a few minutes before it crashed, sometimes only 40 seconds or so. I have been using a family member's (extremely slow) Mac laptop for internet use, and also an iPod touch on the side. Needless to say, I'm beyond frustrated that I can't access any of my music or use a speedy computer to do what I want. I'm worried that I did something wrong while building - but why would it take months to become apparent?
- I ran memtest on the advice of a forum member. Two passes is what they recommended, and no errors popped up.
- I scheduled a check disk, although when I rebooted my computer to let it run, it only took 5-10 minutes - shouldn't it take WAY longer than that?
- System Restore. I tried yesterday and got a BSOD during. Today I was able to restore to the 24th (that was my earliest restore point), however about 2 minutes afterward I got the usual BSOD.
BSOD Errors:It has shown so many errors - it seems to literally be a new one each time. I don't know if I've even seen the same one twice. Sometimes it's on the top, in capital letters, and sometimes on the bottom, with an extension (a file). These are the ones I spotted (especially after I told it not to restart on error so I could read them):

i have got windows 7 ultimate 32bt 6.1 build 7600 and i have got a Fujitsu Siemens Esprimo Mobile V5355.
I have just installed Civilization 4 and when it loads the screen flickers blue while the movies are playing and then when its on the main menu it flickers but not a blue screen just its all weird.
I can remember last week Windows Update updated my SIS mirage 3 graphics driver and i have had windows 7 installed for about 2 weeks now.
Does anyone know what the problem might be?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI could use my Windows 7 for exactly 1 hour then it stops responding which leads me to restart.After restart, I get an error of boot manager corruption so I have to use Setup disc to fix startup issues since this option won't show up the second reboot.
1) Checked the cables inside
2) Resetted CMOS to default
3) Restored Win7 to an older (working) version using Acronis

My connection works perfectly for 15ish minutes, then I get disconnected. The wireless icon at the bottom left has a red x and says that there are no connections available.In the network connections window my wireless adaptor also has a red X. If I try to disable it the computer becomes completely unresponsive and I have to manually reboot it, then it works fine for 15 more minute.

So I tried older drivers but without any result. After that I thought it was an issues with Win 7 64bit. So I installed 32bit. But still I get the bsdod.
