I have a similar question a closed one I found on this site that never included the answerI bought this computer yesterday.[CODE]... from a local computer compamy in my town after having logged in a few times to try to figure out why im being logged into the admin account automatically and installing Kaspersky yada yada yada I noticed that the "Setup is preparing for first time use" message did not stop being displayed even though it was the 5th time i restarted by then also once in the admin account the first screen to appear is a Sysrep window with the OOBE config, and when I press okay it says "Fatal error occured"

I have 64-bit PC with OS Win 7, and I'm logged as admin. But, when I try to install something or do something else, there is a message saying that: I cannot do that because I'm not an admin on this PC.Is there anything I must adjust in my PC?
I am not able to install microsoft office version 2010 on my windows 7 ultimate x32 bit. It gives an error "that u don't have sufficient permissions to install text on your computer" or something like this.....
Having upgraded my desktop PC to Office 2010, I need to import three seperate letter template files for use in Word. These were lost during the upgrade but are on my laptop, which still runs Office 2003, as .dot type files and I also have them copied to a memory stick. However, I am at a loss as to how and where to save them into the new programme on my desktop PC. If it makes a difference, I should add that I do not use Libraries and have disabled them.
I now have a new problem, before I managed to open 2007 files by opening Office 2010 and then from inside the application choosing to open a file. The problem I have though is if I just try to open an Office 2007 file then I can't open it, and I can't change the default program to open it. How do you get Office 2010 to open all the Office 2007 files such as word, excel etc?
I've recently got a new machine and had copied my old PST file over. Whenever I go to open it I get "File access is denied. You do not have the permission required to access the file C:Users*username*DocumentsOutlook Files*pst file name*"I created a test archive and was able to open that one (same location ) just fine.
Just bought a new laptop with Windows7 64bit installed-my first exposure to Windows7. I had Office 2007 installed on my old Dell 32 bit machine. I had also recently pruchased Office 2010 and installed that on my new machine. Now, when I try to open those 32bit 2007 files with 64bt 2011, Iget an error message that "no picture file is available", or words to that effect. When I try to "open with", the only option displayed is "Microsoft Office" with an icon that looks like a picture file. When I try to browse to the proper office program(Excel, for example), there are none of teh Office suite programs displayed, only "Microsoft Office".I can navigate seperately to the proper progran, Excel, etc., and drag the file into the application, and it opens, and all seems to work OK. I "save as" the proper application file, but it still will not open with double-click on the file name.
I use now MSOffice 2003 but want to upgrade to the Student version 2010 which comes without Access.Does the Access from MS Office 2003 work in tandem with MSOffice 2010
My new computer came with Office 2010 Starter installed. I believe I activated it. Then I installed my last legal version of Office Home 2007. Now neither one seems to be working properly. I probably should have uninstalled 2010 prior to installing 2007. How do I remove 2010 without screwing up 2007?
I have docs on XP running MS Works 4 and I need to open them on new computer running Windows 7 with MS 2010 and Open Office. I have the following:Tried to install "Works 6-9 Converter".
I NEED to open docs created on older computer running XP and MS WORKS 4. I have transferred all data to new computer running Windows 7, MS Word 2010 and Open OfficeI'm unable to access most Works docs in either program.I've tried the following:1. Downloaded the "Works 6-9 Converter" and got nowhere.2. Installed MS Works 4 but it will not open as a program.
All of a sudden, I can no longer print to pdf from IE8 (windows 7), the windows flashes for two seconds as though it were starting and then nothing happens, no pdf is created, etc. I've thought about reinstalling Acrobat but am afraid it will also start to fail from MS office.
I'm running Office 2010 32 bit becasue Mobile Device center only beig compatible with 32 and I no longer have a need for that mobile device. What is involved in installing 64 ? Can I do a side by side install of 64 or do I need to uninstall 32 and install 64 and transfer over all Outlook files ( especially adress book w/ contact photos ) ?
I installed office 2010 home and business on my daughters pc. a few months later the motherboard died. I need to install office on my daughters new pc. do I need to get a new activation key?
First off if this is the wrong way to post please forgive as I'm a complete novice.I have a laptop that was legally covered using Office 2010 Professional Plus (via company MS action pack but is no longer legit.I've probably caused the problem by trying to be honest.I have purchased a DVD copy of Office 2010 Home and Business and am trying to NOT uninstall all of the Prof Plus for fear of messing up outlook and server settings. I have tried using add/remove program change key but it says I have an invalid key.I am guessing what it is saying it is invalid for Prof Plus.I have removed all of the applications that are not part of Office 2010 Home and Business.
Office Home and Student 2010 was preinstalled on my computer. I screwed something up and lost it. Have Product Key Card. No Disk. I went to Microsoft backup site to download it. The site comes up, but will not go to download.
I have had a terrible time trying to trace down "not responding" in various programs. About 90% of the time however, it occurs in Outlook 2010 and sometimes in Word 2010. I took down the information from the event viewer after the last time it happened so badly that I had to restart the program because waiting didn't bring it back. Win 7 Prof, SP1. i7, 930 with 24 gig of 1333 Kingston HyperX ram. Several drives: C SSD Plextor and Office is actually installed on a WD Caviar. Neither drive show errors. Only thing I see is that the Caviar is using Microsoft 2006 driver and I haven't been able to find a newer driver. Happens when SATA is set to AHCI and when it is set to IDE.
I cannot remember purchasing MS 2010, but I must have when I bought the PC (there isn't a sticker for it on the machine). In either case I am without the disc or the key.I'm unsure what to do next - can I simply buy another 'key' to activate it? Do I need to buy the disk as well (which is far more expensive). I'm also curious as to how they reinstalled it (bit of a moot point though).
When ever I start a Microsoft Office 2010 application I always get an error. It's Microsoft Office 2010 Home and Student.
Excel- "Not enough memory to start Excel. Please close other applications and try again" Word- Crashes as soon as I start it OneNote- "OneNote cannot start because the Microsoft Office installation is missing the required files. Run Office setup again to repair the installation" PowerPoint- Splash screen flashes and nothing else happens
I have also tried going to install and clicking repair but it still doesn't work.
I have one copy of Office 2010 Pro OEM from Dell.I activated it on Windows 7, the host OS.I also installed Windows XP Mode/Virtual PC on the same laptop.I need Excel 2010 in Virtual PC. but when it came time to activate, Excel was denied activation.MS saw the Office 2010 activation instance under the host OS.Technically it's the same PC, but I only get to choose one OS to activate it on.This is disappointing.Other than getting another product key, can I activate one copy of Office 2010 on both Win 7 and Windows XP Mode
We bought Office 2010 with product key code in Feb. and today, when I tried to open a Word doc. it said that Office wasn't installed. I checked the control panel programs and the Office file showed up with no MB of data in it, so I used the key on the Microsoft website and successfully downloaded Office and saved it to my desktop, but when I opened the file as instructed to reinstall the program, I got an error message saying that the setup had encountered a problem and that Windows couldn't find a solution for it.
I am trying to install a Romanian dictionary (which doesn't come together with the office 2010 default installation), but I keep getting a very message at same stage, something like: the installation has encountered an error, and no other details regarding the problem. I have a windows 7 pro 64x, I've downloaded the 64 version of the dictionary (language pack), because the office is x64 also; I tried to install it from a privileged user and I guess that's it.
I have Office 2010 Home & Student on my laptop. Because, the company I work for is offering full blown promotional copies of MS office to all us employees, I want to remove my purchased copy and save it for later use on another computer. This is so I won't lose my purchased copy when I load the promotional copy, and load it onto a different computer when I'm ready.
