Nvidia Drivers - TV-OUT

I've just installed latest Vista WHQL drivers in the attempt to make it work the TV-OUT mode as on XP.. but no way.

Anyone know how to activate fullscreen video on second monitor?

maybe a register entry?

As for the default Windows 7 online-update drivers, no option.

Any help?

NVIDIA NForce 6150SE And NVIDIA MCP61 Drivers
I got motherboard: Asus m2n-mx se plus. Video Card : nVIDIA nForce 6150SE (6100-430), Onboard Audio : nVIDIA MCP61 , D-Link DFE-520TX PCI Fast Ethernet Adapter .

My Motherboard comes with Vista drivers, but I heard that even that are creating problems for video and audio. Should I download any specific drivers beforehand?

Nvidia Chipset Drivers
I'm trying to install updated chipset drivers. I downloaded nForce 680i SLI from the nvidia website. When I run install, it asks me to select what I want to install and gives only 2 choices: nvidia ethernet driver, and nvidia storage driver. Those aren't the chipset drivers, are they?

Problems With Nvidia Drivers
I'm using the RC 7100 build and I have a persistent problem with my Nvidia Windows Kernel Mode Driver (both 181.72 and 185.85). The latter is the newest update on the Nvidia website for windows 7.

To describe what is going on, the best way to say is that my screen will go black, then i'll get a message as the screen restarts saying this Kernel mode driver failed and was sucessfully restarted. This repeats for about 3 times, then my computer just goes black, i get the Blue screen of death and my comp restarts. Sometimes it can't even fully restart and keeps cycling until finally it randomly suceeds. I'm pretty sure this is a driver issue, but i've tried all the drivers thus far and have had no success.

So, are there any people who have this same problem and or no a solution? I noticed there are more up to date RC builds, (the newest being the leaked 7201) and I was hoping there was a hidden fix in there. Any word on this?

Nvidia Drivers Capping Hz At 85 Hz
I've been trying to get my 19" samsung CRT monitor to reach 100hz with windows7, but it seems to be impossible.

I can't find a driver that works for the monitor online, so I made one with RivaTuner, however I can't reach 100hz in resolutions that I know are supposed to get there.

Is this a Nvidia driver issue?

I currently have the latest official one from the Nvidia page.

Bug On NVIDIA Drivers
Rafael Rivera found a serious bug in the last batch of NVIDIA drivers on Windows 7.

The bug causes the driver to repeatedly open new handles without closing them. A check with Process Explorer shows over 100,000 handles after a while.

This will use up a lot of memory and eventually cause a crash of the video stack which will disable aero and games.

Rafael has found the sollution to be, shutting off the NVIDIA Stereoscopic 3D Driver Service. This service is in charge of outputting stereoscopic (real 3D) graphics to supported monitors and glasses, however it is useless to those who don't have that type of technology.

The Forced Nvidia Drivers
Okay so I got pushed these crappy and I do mean crappy Nvidia drivers. They have made my resolution ____, I've tried making custom resolutions and it wont take it I've tried forcing old drivers and they wont take them now it keeps pushing these crappy drivers. I'm using a 22" 1680 X 1050 monitor, Nvidia 8600 gts oc 2 funny thing is the Original drivers that came with the beta worked great no problems. I'm really disappointed in windows forcing these drivers through.

This makes me want to go and Get an ATI card and stick it in and see if that works.  Just one more thing then I'll stop my QQing about these really really bad drivers that got pushed out. If you completely Uninstall the Card and just use a VGA device I can get the right resolutions on the screen gee go figure. Any help on getting the old drivers installed again would be wonderful.

Sony Vaio Nvidia Drivers
How I installed the latest Nvidia M 186.81 notebook driver to my Sony Vaio VGN-AR51E laptop. Sony is supposed to supply the drivers but they don't for some reason.

The latest laptop drivers from Nvidia work if you alter two lines of information in the appropriate inf file before executing. I downloaded the latest driver from Nvidia (186.81) and ran it so it unpacked into a folder in my C drive. [Message box says it won't install].

From Control panel I got my driver hardware ID

Control panel / Device manager / Display adapters / Properties / Details / Device description/

PCIVEN_10DE&DEV_0426&SUBSYS_9016104D&REV_A1

PCIVEN_10DE&DEV_0426&SUBSYS_9016104D

PCIVEN_10DE&DEV_0426&CC_030000

PCIVEN_10DE&DEV_0426&CC_0300

(You just need the second line here)

Then I opened up the Nvidia driver package and altered NVDM.inf file, in the Display folder, by adding two lines to include my hardware ID

(as you scroll down the inf file and study, you will see where these go, in two different list sections)

%NVIDIA_DEV.0426.01% = Section005, PCIVEN_10DE&DEV_0426&SUBSYS_9016104D

NVIDIA_DEV.0426.01 = "NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GT (Sony Vaio AR51E)"

I included my ID also in ListDevices.txt in the NVDM.inf section

and in modes.txt (but may be superfluous - I am no expert!)

Also I put the two lines in the NVAM.inf (but may be superfluous)

Don't forget to save all.

I deleted the old Nvidia driver rebooted and ran setup on the new Nvidia driver! It worked!! Hope this helps you. PYL

Installing Nvidia Graphics Drivers
I am looking to sort out my graphics drivers for my new computer and just want to make sure I get it right and so avoid any kind of nightmare, I am sure some of you will be able to point me in the right direction....

I have a GTS250 card installed on my PC running windows 7 64 bit. It is currently using the standard windows drivers would have automatically installed when the computer was put together. I would like to change these to the proper Nvidia drivers so I can have the control panel and more control etc.

This is what I think I need to do:
1. Download correct Nvidia drivers and save somewhere
2. Uninstall the GTS250 device in device manager with remove the software option
3. Boot in safe-mode and run a driver cleaner thingy (which one is free and best??)
4. Restart and run the Nvidia install program

Is this correct? Is it necessary to use a driver sweeper? I have read that the generic driver can just be installed over but I am not sure about this. Is it the uninstall option that I need to use? I have also read that windows will automatically re-install the generic driver from a ‘store’, how can I stop this happening?

Correct Way To Uninstall Nvidia Drivers?
In vista i used to go into safe mode , add remove nvidia drivers and reboot into normal mode it would install the standard vga drivers. However with windows 7 when you reboot into normal mode it installs these wddm(?) drivers and reboots.

Have the old nvidia drivers been uninstalled? and can i just install any previous beta's or new betas over the top?

EDIT : Just installed over the top of the default windows 7 nvidia drivers on uninstalled reboot, seems to work fine so i'll see how it goes!.

NVidia GeForce 8600M Drivers
I have a problem with my nVidia drivers. When I first installed Windows 7, I installed the GeForce drivers (big mistake). Then I installed the automatic update of nvidia drivers that Windows 7 downloaded. This lead to problems. I have now unistalled all drivers. Windows then looked for it's own drivers, and said they were installed. However, Aero doesn't seem to be working (all taskbars are gray).

I can't download the drivers from the nVidia site, because for some reason they haven't put the Windows 7 drivers for mobile gfx cards online. I can't download the driver via Automatic Update because Windows seems to think I already installed it. Does anybody know how I can find these drivers?

Nvidia And ATI Drivers Issues
Long story, starts with my right click starting to lag for about 2-4 seconds whenever it was clicked about a month or so ago. At first it was intermittent then all the time and it affects the right click everywhere (desktop, applications, games). I discover its not the mouse, but I have no way of knowing what it is so I bind the side button next to it to right click and live with it and after about 3 weeks it goes away.

Then my 8800 gts dies while playing COD6 and I order an ATI 5770 to replace it, thinking its toast. While its being shipped I cook the 8800gts successfully in the oven and its back to working fine, but I've already ordered the 5770. Once it comes I uninstall all my nvidia drivers and run driver sweeper in safe mode then install it, but I can't get the ATI drivers or catalyst control center to run for the life of me. I talk with XFX tech support for a few days and I did everything I could before concluding there was no way I could make it work without reformatting so I return the card for a refund.

Now back on my 8800gts for about 3 days the right click lag just started up again after several hours of doing some work on Visual C# 2008 Express Edition. Now the XFX tech supports best idea was that there was something wrong with my .NET framework or C++ redistributable. Now that I've been working in VCEE for a few hours, both would have been used and thats when the right click lag came back so I'm thinking there is an issue with something in one of those. When trying to get the ATI drivers to work I reinstalled .NET framework 1.1, 2.0, and the C++ redistributable.

I'm looking for any ideas on how to fix mainly the right click lag and possibly the ATI driver issue, but I returned the card so that doesn't really matter anymore.

Nvidia Drivers Not Found In Win7
I am having A "HUGE" Issue I just installed Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit. It installed the window VGA drivers and seems to not even see my Nvidia 9400GT 1GIG card. I have tried installing with the card in then reinstalled windows without the card in and restarted put the card in and the drivers bump'd right in and hide my card? Any help?????

I downloaded them right from Nvidia, and it gave me this here is a pic attached of what it said. This happened with both sets of drivers advised from Nvidia. I tried "191.07 WHQL" and "nv19045_Win7Vista32"...

I have even set them to install in compatibility "vista" mode and restarted into safe mode. Please any help would be amazing. I really love Windows 7 so far and do not want to go back to XP. Is there something I can do in the registry keys or something?

NVidia Mobile Graphics Drivers
Is there anybody with a running Win7 64 Version of nVidias official Mobile drivers? Trying different officially not supported drivers (laptopvideo2go, Vista64, modded INF) did not help.

This happens each time, I use a different driver than the standart driver, which does not recognize my card correctly: The First Bootscreen apprears ("Starting WIndows"), than, instead of the Login-Screen, the Laptop reboots, without Bluescreen or anything, just like a power disruption. Safe Mode is no problem.
