Network Availability Icon Is Not Showing
Oct 25, 2011I started seeing this Problem with my network icon. It doesn't seem to change off the networks avaliable icon in the system tray.

Network Icon On Taskbar Showing No Connection
Mar 6, 2012I have just installed windows 7 home on my core i5 2500k machine and everything was working fine, but the windows network icon on the task bar shows I have no connection even though I am connected to the internet and everything works fine.

Jun 29, 2011I have been getting this error, sometimes a few times a day or then sometimes a week.. But still it has the same effect as being on Facebook. The thing that happens is that I get a little yellow triangle with the exclamation mark on it and I cant get online and the only solution so far is that I have to troubleshoot my internet and then I am online again! But I need a better solution because yes no one wants every time to right click the network icon in the right corner and press Troubleshoot Problems.

Apr 1, 2012On the bottom right of the desktop on Windows 76, the notification icon for internet usually shows the disconnected icon or the no access icon. I'm still connected to the internet though and when I click on the icon, it opens up to show my connection (that is working). Why is it doing this? I've tried googling it, no use. It's not really a big deal, but knowing if I'm connected without having to click on the icon is nice.

May 18, 2012I have a toolbar on my taskbar titled "Programs". It has about eight folders in it. I made another toolbar, and placed it directly adjacent to the Programs toolbar, to obscure the eight folders and force it to be a dropdown menu.Trouble is, as soon as I lock my taskbar, right next to the arrow that displays the eight items of my Programs toolbar in menu-form, one of the eight items is showing up as an icon, as if the other toolbar isn't close enough to the Programs toolbar in order to completely obscure the eight items.

Jan 31, 2010I've had this problem for a while now and I didn't really mind since I still have access to the internet. However, today I was trying to access my HomeGroup but it tells me that I'm not connected to the network.I haven't installed anything. Just one day, I turned on the laptop and there the red x was. I haven't had any problems with Windows 7 aside from Firefox crashing all the time. I think it blue screened on me two or three times too.

Wireless Icon Showing Wrong Status?
Dec 3, 2012So I have a Atheros 9285 wireless card in my laptop, but now for like 3 months it keeps saying that I'm not connected to a network while in fact I am connected to my wifi network.I can browse the internet and all that but I can't use my homegroup.. was wondering if you guy's had a solution for me...Things that i've tried already:1. Jul 6, 2010I just brought home my new Tosh PC with Win7HomePremium. I've done nothing to it whatsoever but Libraries does not work. If I right click on LIBRARIES and click new, the box is greyed out with (empty) in it. If I click, say a photo folder, click include in library, select pictures library, absolutely nothing happens. Double clicking ANY library does absolutely nothing. I can slect a photo folder, click Include in Libray, create new library; behold, I get a new library with the name od the folder selected BUT, you guessed it, clicking it does absolutely nothing.Now I've read the thread and seen a particular post by BRINK; I've done no 7 - remove and restore library, as suggested, to no avail. Now, I'm not dying to get my hands on Libraries but what bugs me most is why I do not have it with a new delivery and why it seems so complex to get it to work or not get it to work? I really believed Windows 7 was MS's really complete OS.

Nov 29, 2009I have a network setup with in our home, and am able to connect to it through windows 7 but after a bit of time all the other computers disappear off of the network. I have lowered the encryption and allowed windows to actively look for networks which it does well but it will only do this for a short period of time. Does anyone know how I can fix this problem? Like I said the network will appear and I do have access to it on occasion but then disappears and will not return.

Feb 19, 2010For some reason my netgear router is not showing on the network page of 'my computer'.it used to show up as 'Netgear Router' and if i clicked on it it would ask for my login and then display my configuration setting etc on a browser page. If I click on a link I have setup on my browser, it navigates there as normal.Not a humungous issue, but although I have tried a system restore, it still does not show up as expected. Connectivity is fine, as per normal.

My install has no such icon. On XP I could go to network and click/check "Display Icon". How can I add the network icon, what am I doing wrong?

Nov 19, 2010A friend of mine has a laptop with windows 7 and he told that sometimes when he boots his pc the windows network indicator is square with a X(no connetions-not connected,which i think means that there is no wifi adapter , and not that there are no available networks-this is with signal icon and a x) so he cant connect to any wifi networks even though there are available the problem remains until he shuts down and may fix at next boot
